      Dont use the company for any tours. They sold me tickets for an attraction in ************* and the attraction wasnt doesnt open for another month. I reached their customer service department and they responded by email that they couldnt refund my money. I asked for someone to call me back regarding this but no one has reached out. Bottom line DONT USE VIATOR!!!!!!

      I booked a tour through Viator for a vineyard excursion in ************. The operator was a no call, no show, and my credit card company reimbursed me when I showed screenshots of the message thread. The Viator Chargeback Team reached our for further information, and I submitted messages, screenshots of Ubers showing my whereabouts during the day after the no show, and messages from the operator who did nothing to rectify the issue. My credit card company later charged me again stating Viator refuted the issue. Once I saw their letter, it did not include any of the information I submitted to their team and photos of a couple of a different race with an erroneous review. Not only did Viator do 0 due diligence in reviewing my submitted information or even my review on their site with screenshots to support my claims, they are now lying to my credit card company along with the operator to scam me out of $230+. It's a shame because I've used this company on previous excursions with 0 issues, but this is ridiculous and shows their teams do not care about making a customers' experience better; they only want to milk as much money out of them as possible. I hope people avoid Viator and *********** services since they're owned by the same people. No one should have their trips upended plus spend weeks in online disputes battle for issues that could be easily resolved if you took five minutes to listen to your customer.

      I spent nearly $500 making advanced bookings on their website in February. I never got the rewards points for those bookings. Even I contacted costumer service, they said I did not qualify for rewards because I used a travel agent called Destinationless Travel. I have never used an agent and have all the emails from Viator about booking. The reservations even show up on my Viator app. I looked up Destinationless Travel and it's not even an agent. It's a blog. Scam.

      We paid to fly in a helicopter on February 22, 2025 and was 20 minutes late. The employee took $99 in cash to allow us to fly in a helicopter the following day. This should be on camera due to the type of business. The employee refunded the $99 but told us that we would fly the next day at the same time. We left and they called us the next day and said due to the weather, we could not fly. They never offered a future credit to fly and never gave us back our money of $316. Do not book any trips with this third party company. We contacted them at 8:30pm at night on March 3, 2025 about this, and she said she would escalate it with the helicopter company. 15 minutes later, we got an email stating they denied our claim. Impossible when the helicopter company would be closed for them to respond to this company that late at night. They made no effort to escalate it.

      Trip Advisor had a rough fall from ***** and are now known as the spam travel ********** latest adventure - a food tour in *********. The tour guide was receptive and answered calls leading up to the day of the tour.On the day of the tour, however, the phone was disconnected. No texts or phone call replies from the tour organizer. We waited 45 minutes for our guide who NEVER showed. After requesting a refund, TripAdvisor denied us. A credit card dispute was then opened. TripAdvisor uploaded fraudulent forms to the credit dispute, extending the issue.TripAdvisor, you sold us a ticket for a food tour. The tour guide did not perform the service.Please say publicly here why that falls on the consumer and not the company that failed to provide reliable tour agents?

      Viator has searched for customer's booking in question, but we are unable to find a food tour in ********* under customer's name and/or email address. ********************** would like to ask customer to contact our customer service with more details in order to look into it and assist further. However, if customer has already initiated a chargeback with their financial institution, Viator cannot provide any assistance. The customer will need to follow the chargeback process as described by their financial institution.

      Viator canceled my reservation less than 12 hours before the tour. They made no apologies, made no effort to find me a replacement tour, either.I have nothing against the tour guide himself (I later found out from his friend, another tour guide, that he's dealing with a personal issue). But Viator basically told me to go eff myself. No courtesy "I'm sorry" credit, nothing to replace that tour with. They told me that if I booked two more tours, I would be eligible for 5% off a third. Like I would trust them with any more bookings. I deactivated my *********** know who saved the day? ************. that company is awesome and bailed me out with a similar tour at a similar time for less.

      We chose this trip for three based on feedback available on Viator. I did not have a safe trip. The base camp team was excellent, very supportive and took the utmost care.The helicopter ride was good. At the glacier, the ****** ******* and ***** were very warm & welcoming. However, I would suggest serious improvement in the dog sledding due to following shortcomings - 1. I along with my family had booked for August 31. I fell twice due to an extremely bumpy ride, uncontrolled speed during crossing of two crevices on the glacier. I am writing this especially because I was badly injured and have been detected with a broken 6th rib detected by X- ray after continuous and increasing pain at the urgent care. I was also detected with ligament tear and still suffering that has severely impeded my mobility.2. Safety of the dog sled needs to improve with provisions for safety belts, emergency brakes and helmets.3. Overall physical safety of riders must improve to ensure a better overall experience during and after the sledding trip. I want complete refund, an apology, and a commitment to improve safety.       My husband and I booked an excursion for 11/18/2024. We were to arrive in ******** via Carnival Cruise Ship. We contacted Viator for assistance with the parasailing booking. We advised the agent that we would be arriving at the port at 10:00 am Carnival Ship time. We asked several times if we would arrive in time for the 11:00am excursion. The agent advised that we would arrive with enough time so we booked the excursion. When we arrived in ******** we were able to exit the ship about 10:15 am. When we arrived at the excursion booth it was about 10:30 am. The agent advised us that we had missed the excursion and that it was 11:30 Key West time and not 10:30. We immediately contacted Viator and was told that someone would reach out to us concerning the refund. No one ever contacted us. After returning home and contacting Viator they stated they would do an investigation and getting back with us. Several days passed and again no one contacted us. We once again contacted Viator this time requesting to speak with a supervisor. We were informed that a refund would not be issued and that a decision has been made and that we would not receive a refund. The agent argued with us and continued to not allow us to peak with a supervisor also stating "there is no supervisor available". I attempted to search the internet for a corporate number but all the information reflected back the the information and customer service number on the ********************** app. It seems as though this is all a scam, as there is no other contact information. The next time I reserve a trip for my family I will make sure I take my time and do my research on the trip advisor before allowing them to assist me with my booking. I have used several booking sites in the past, but this is the worst experience that I have had. I should have researched the reviews. Viator review rating is a one star. Reading the recent reviews explains it all.

      Viator has reviewed the case. Because the customer has already initiated a chargeback with their financial institution Viator cannot provide assistance with issuing a refund. The customer will need to follow the chargeback process as described by their financial institution. Once a decision has been made after the investigation performed by the customers financial institution they will reach out and advise on the outcome. The customer will have to await the decision from their financial institution.

      I booked a tour through Viator in *********** expecting the charge to my credit card to be 56% (the current exchange rate from NZ dollars to US dollars) of the listed price for the tour in NZ dollars. Instead, the charge on my credit card was the amount listed in NZ dollars. I contacted Viator to rectify the charge and they were unwilling to fix it, claiming that i failed to correctly note in my personal preferences what currency i wanted the fees to be displayed. As a result, Viator has conveniently pocketed the difference in the exchange rate. I will not be using Viator again.
