Used CarGurus for the first time to buy a minivan. They suggested a car from a Florida dealership, Southern ***************** that turned out to be a total scam. I purchased the van on Cargurus "vetting" of the dealership and the car. The van documentation was clearly not legit- came to my house with car locks not working and an engine light, all oxygen sensors were bad, all tires blew out within 2 weeks of owning (Ie., c*** tires) on. Truck delivery person said that is how they took it off the lot. The dealership was pathetic in resolving anything, $3000 LATER THEY HAVE NOT REFUNDED ANYTHING NOR HAS CARGURUS HELPED IN ANY MATTER!My issue is not that the car was malfunctiong but that cargurus and the dealership was completely putting out false advertising. The carfax was not legit, the features were not true.Horrible experience overall, I will never use or recommend carguru again nor the lame dealership, Southern **************** in ************, *******. Specifically, the owner ************************* and *************************, Financial Officer.CarGurus, Inc.

We do understand that an experience such as yours can be frustrating. We work closely with our dealerships to ensure that CarGurus listings are as accurate as possible; however, we ultimately rely on the dealers to provide us with information regarding their vehicles. As a shopper, it appears that some trucks stay on the site even after they are sold. After three situations of calling the dealer and finding out trucks are sold and seeing them stay on the site after I am told that they are sold, it feels like Consumers are being baited by these items, even though CarGurus do not have them in stock. There should be stricter rules for your dealers to remove items from the site, after those cars and trucks leave their lot.Review fromTeresa R

I am still waiting for my questions to be answered and one thing you should add in your information about your vehicles is what condition they are in and what has been done to the vehicle as far as service. I also don't understand how you want me to do a review when I haven't even spoken to anyone but just looked at a vehicle with not that much information to it. But I will give you a four for the heck of itCarGurus, Inc.
