    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

The black mold is still in several areas of the house. They did not treat or replace the wood before placing new sheet rock nor did they replace the installation or fix the bowing of the wall. They will not answer any of my husband's or my phone calls about what the business decided to do since the general manager seems like this is the first he is hearing of all the damges after being in communications with the business about the damage since October 26 2023.

    Sincerely,

    ***** *****

e mold issue and it's worsening to black mold and this is supposed to be a new house but now finding they are trying to cover everything up with chalking or paint and trim . I've reached out to Brewers and jessup several occasions and no one wants to resolve any of this and due to my location I can't afford a lawyer and can't find one to accept probono. We have 4 young kids and I have asthma and it's a major health concern on top of more stress and heartache definitely after the house fire and losing everything we owned, ruined and caused depression with our kids due to the holidays and still not having a home . We have so many pictures and screenshots of every call and conversations

The damaged panels have been replaced.

The panels were replaced. There is no general manager for the company that you bought the home from because that company no longer exists.

Nothing got resolved in this matter. I paid for steps, skirting and plumbing and they clearly said they sent a check for steps that doesn't cover anything else.  How did this get closed?and they did not. There is allot of other smaller things that need to be fixed like the roof and water leaks.

The reason that we ask our customers to complete their loan when the home is delivered is because contractors that are completing work to the home need to be paid. In this business, their first payment is due 30-45 days from the time that they make the call. The proceeds from Mr. ****** loan puts money in our account to pay contractors to do their job. That is standard practice in the manufactured home industry. In this case we patiently waited and took care of our contractors on his behalf as their invoices were due even though we were holding zero dollars from Mr. **** to pay them with. That said, I feel like we have done everything that has been asked of us thus far which is why I am a bit surprised by this complaint. Mr. **** has been easy to work with and even bought from our retail lot 600 miles away from his location because of our reputation of always doing the right thing and giving him a great deal on his home. His service list will be addresses asap, as this is the first I have heard of it. We did write a check back for $1,550 for steps. I will look into skirting. If a contractor turns in an invoice to this company, I assure you that they get paid every Friday, 52 weeks a year.

I have attached a copy of Mr. ****** signed home order. There is no mention of an exterior faucet. I have also attached the signed purchase agreement showing steps and skirting are included. I pay $130 per set of steps. That would be $260. I pay $1200 for vinyl skirting and installation. The check for $1500.00 should have covered both. His signed purchase agreement also says 2 sets of steps, not 3. As well, even though his signed home order clearly defines what crown molding will be in the house, we paid for the material and our contractor's labor to replace what he had signed for. We have gone above and beyond for Mr. ***** Service is involved on repairs. As far as money owed, we have paid more than we agreed upon and have gone above and beyond to make him happy.

I am rejecting this response because:I,***** ******,signed paperwork stating that brewers homes was selling me a home with the water well, septic, and all utilities were to be completed by them. It took me 2 years to get electricity to the home. Once I got electricity, brewer's homes kept making excuses why they couldn't finish my home.before I bought the home,I told them that I wanted everything in a package deal because I was NOT going to be able to pay for anything listed on the contract/paperwork. The house itself was $95,000. The improvements were an extra $50,000. Everything was in the package deal and it should have been paid in full by them AND I shouldn't have ever had to pay out of pocket. I have had to go above and beyond to try and make things work, but they do not work with me. They are working against me and have tried to get out of they're responsibilities/obligations to complete my home. A week ago,I received a call from the 3rd party contractor that was supposed to be working on my septic and was told they're only paying $5500. The septic total cost will be between $9,500 and $11,500. The biggest complaint I have is that my home still isn't complete on the inside. I've sent multiple pictures to them as well as my mortgage company on the issues. I was told my house was completed by their contractors and that I needed to send them pictures of what's not completed and stating all problems. After I sent them the complaints and pictures, I have been ignored ever since. I need help getting out of this contract with this retailer because my house will never get done. I've been paying on that house for 5 years! I should have been living in my home a long time ago.

    Sincerely,

    ***** ******

This complaint comes as a surprise and doesn't really make any sense to be honest. We delivered the home three years ago. It took Mr. ****** literally three years to get power to the home. Mr ****** relocated the water well three times also which triggered his septic system to be re engineered multiple times. As a manufactured home retailer, we do not choose what property our consumers place their homes on. We have nothing to do with utility availability. That should have been researched prior to choosing to place the home on the property. Of course we paid what we were told to budget toward the well. If a consumer borrows money from a lender to pay for land improvements and does not borrow enough money to cover those land improvements, then why would a retailer be expected to pay the difference? This complaint does not make very much sense, but I assure you that after waiting three years to finish the home out, we are motivated to get this finished up.
