  I ordered four books from them on eBay. The books had not been shipped after several days so I contacted them and received the following email… “ Greetings,, Due to a system error, our inventory was reallocated. We are currently investigating the root cause of this issue. As a result of the delay, I am issuing you a refund. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Many thanks, Isabela J Customer Support Hero So all four books were “reallocated?” Bull crap!!! Do not deal with these people.

  Wrong book. A note inside says "Scammers should be ashamed of yourselves". This has been done before. The address label says it is from SecondSale.com.

  They are a scam, I'm so sad I didn't research them before I sent them my book! I sent them a perfect textbook and they "recycled" it and said it was "rough" when I know for a fact it is not. I'm so mad. It was a hardcover that was in great condition. I bought it used for several hundred and never even opened it. I carefully wrapped it and send it over, double checking to make it met their standards. No way it was rough, it was literally in great condition. No tears, no highlights, no writing, and it was a hard cover anatomy textbook that currently sells for hundreds online. It doesn't get better than what I sent and I just want by book back. I'm positive they are reselling and scamming me out of the low $50 they were only offering me to begin with. They need to get shut down, they are scamming people out of all their textbooks and reselling them at a huge profit. It's shameful!

  Claims to be recycling a book that was purchased from the school bookstore because its not acceptable. All I want is the book returned to me.

  I really wish I read these reviews before using their company. Their BBB rating threw me off because I thought an A+ rating means the company is good and honest. I was quoted over $100 on some text books that I sent in and I was given less than what I was quoted. And they took a couple of my books! They didnt send them back. That is so horrible. I mentioned that I am a veteran in dire need of these funds to pay for future semesters in school and they really dont care. I called many times and their voicemail states that theyll return my call within 24 hours. They keep their good BBB rating just because they respond and say the same thing to others that it is against their terms and conditions. So they made a profit on a couple of my books. A very dishonest company. If they are unable to use the product, they need to send it back or give me the full quoted amount. Enough of these complaints, and theyre not going to have customers to trust them and do business with them. I typed in each ISBN from my books into their website. I packed them in two boxes and sent them off in good condition. Such an easy concept. And they decided to underquote me and keep a couple of my books. To do this to a veteran in need of these funds to pay a portion of their tuition is horrible. I have never worked with a business who does not appreciate our veterans.

  Order 14 books 12/28/23 received 13 books 1/9/24. I received 2 of the same copy of one of the ************************ also received a book I did not order. Plus I am missing 3 books I ordered & was charged for & didn't receive them. The company emailed a survey before the books were ever delivered & I wasn't able to do the survey, It said, "it was closed". I have sent 2 emails to Secondsale & have not received a reply. All I want is a refund & send their carrier to pick up these books.

  I have photos taken of college textbook book in excellent condition, online access code unused ($$$), and book rated as rough and discarded. No payment and a generic response to my complaint including pictures with no proof of book in rough condition. I would advise not turning in books of substantial value if you don't mind not getting paid.Pretty amazing a company can even exist that refuses your product with no option for return and have no proof of condition. What a great no risk business to operate.

  Just like so many other things, this company has gone from being easy to do business with - they give you a quote for the books hanging around in your attic/closet, you mail them in (they pay postage), and you receive a wire transfer of the same amount as your quote. Better than having to pay a ton in shipping to send the items to library book sales or something. I've used this company a lot, after new book hauls and when my kids were done with certain titles or genres. It meant easy gas money that week. But the last time I sent them several books, they suddenly deducted a lot from my quote because I used the post office (what the heck?), and then the measly $4 that was left over never was deposited into my Paypal account. Extremely disappointing. Won't be using them again. Guess I'll make good use of the Little Free Librarys in my community when my kids outgrow stuff now.

  After years with doing business with this company as ******************* , their business practices have been become very questionable. I previously sent in volume books for buybacks . When the company did not pay me , they provided pictures of books that did not meet their standards according to their website. There were times , because of the volume of books, I may have missed some highlighting or water damage. However, as of late , this company refuses to pay for the books that I sent in to them , claiming that several were damaged and that they did not have prove why they were not paying me. They simply would deduct from my payout and claim " We do not provide pictures anymore ". Shocking and clearly not ethical. When I attempted to send in pictures of my buybacks and tell them pre-emptively there was no damage to the books and the pictures proved it - they told me they will no longer a accept buybacks from me. Essentially what they did - was they stopped doing business with me - because they want to operate without accountability which would suggest that they are stealing from their customers , while claiming " you do not have to do business with us". SHAMEFUL.

  This is a fraudulent company running a scam. Sold books to them. They claim to have submitted payment to my paypal. But paypal doesn't know anything about this. No answer from this company. When I emailed the company about payment, they sent me an "automated survey email" as a response, without acknowledging my questions about payment. The link to survey was just a dead link. I see many people have had success purchasing books from them, so it appears they participate in criminal activity by selling stolen books. Will be filing report with local PD as well.
