      Somehow their customer care puts you on hold for hours even if they're not busy. They're extremely inexperienced and seem to have no idea what they're doing. Online chat or phone call is useless. No communication from a company with communication in their name. If there's other options for internet in your area I would advise avoiding this company.

      My 81 year old mother has been without internet for almost 1 month. She lives in ********************** and has been contacting Consolidated repeatedly about her lack of service. For the firt 2 weeks they told her daily a tech was coming but no-one ever arrived. Now when she calls they just tell her they have "no techs to send". They are still billing her for service and are basically holding her telephone number hostage so she cannot keep it if she changes to another company. Horrible service and truly a case of taking advantage of an elderly person who is trapped in a rural environment with no access to internet, unable to have her medical telehealth visits, and little to no recourse.

      They put the service box right next to our front door 3' up from the ground without asking us. They ran the underground cable maybe 3" underground across the flower beds where we will be sure to hit it in the spring despite telling us it would be "below the frost line". They are impossible to get a hold of unless you are setting up an initial request for service, and if you do get them then there is no continuity of knowledge from one call to the next. They seem to sub-contract everything and send these guys out with very loose work orders in unmarked trucks. Their communication with their subs seems as bad as with the customers because they do not call ahead (even when they have flagged your account to do so).I have no idea what their service itself was like because I got so fed up with their antics that I just cancelled the entire service setup. Now I just have to fix all the seemingly random holes in my siding.

      Consolidated AKA FIDUM FIBER / BE AWARE THAT WIFI CANNOT BE SHUT OFF BY CONSUMER I have recently gotten Fidium services in my home. I want to know why they are not making a solid point to notify prospective customers up front that there is NO WAY to turn your WiFi on/off when you need to - just like we were able to do with Consolidated internet. I'm being told that we have no way to do that. Had I know that, I would have chosen to keep my Consolidated DSL and am considering switching back until this is fixed. It's not acceptable that you cannot turn off wireless in your home, especially if you only need hard-wired services 99% of the time and having this option is important to many customers for a variety of reasons. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

      I have been without internet service for 2 weeks, and they have completely blown off 2 appointments for repair, and both times have simply rescheduled it, without even speaking to me. This is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of having to use.

      Consolidated Communications is the worst! My neighbor had to wait two weeks (!) to get service for having no internet. Im now going into my second week of waiting after having frequent intermittent **************** issues. I call daily, they escalate and nothing happens. But they are happy to take my monthly payments!

      I have no complaint about the quality of internet but when it comes to customer service and taking responsibility for issues THEY ARE LESS THAN A 1 STAR. Woke up one morning and the Internet was not working so I called in to see what the issue was. *** could not figure it out said it looked like it went off at 1am. So they scheduled a Tech to come out. The tech checked everything and said he found no issue so he called into the service department. They find out for some odd reason that Fidium had turned off our account. No explanation why. So they turned it backon and it was fine. The issue is that my wife and I both work from home so we had no Internet all day and could not work. This cost us hundreds of dollars for a lost day. I requested one free month as reimbursement (total of $80). The account person ***** said no way and she would offer me $10 credit?? What a joke the issue was solely Fidium's fault and cost us money but you offer $10. Absolute slap in the face! Would not recommend them to anyone!

      One of the worst companies ever. Lost internet for my business and was given a repair date 2 1/2 weeks out. We need internet for cash registers, credit cards, and many other store operations. Called several times a day for several days and they would not update the ticket with a better date. Just kept "escalating" the repair ticket.After several days I received a random text they have assigned a new service call date. On that day no one called or showed up but received text messages that someone had arrived and then the issue was repaired. Called them and they claimed someone left a calling card at door (nope, nothing) and called phone number and left voice mail. Nope, never rang and checked voice mail, nothing.All the ladies I spoke to were super nice but could only send emails to dispatch and managers. NO ONE EVER returned my calls! One guy is fairly rude. Gets nasty if you tell him their service doesn't work or that you are upset with their service. I will NEVER do business with them again. That includes Fidium they tried to sell me, but then realized it's not available.

      **************** wait times are criminal. They randomly charged me ******************************************* about the charge, they said it was their mistake from 6 months ago and now they need to charge me for the mistake they made on my bill. This place is literally robbing people. Avoid at all costs.

      I have used the internet provider for the last few years. They are horrible all around. Advertising 20mbps but I ALWAYS have 6-8mbps for years. They cut my service off without notice, and attempted to charge me a reconnect fee of $99. As noted on my last bill it states $12.25 reconnect fee if made within 10 days. I called and paid my full balance, in order to restore my service. However I told them don't you dare when I was made aware my monthly bill would sky rocket to $105 a month for CRAPPY SERVICE. I think not. I've had to change my whole profession TWICE due to the poor quality of service, I live in a very remote area and this was my only option at the time. They are price Gouging the heck out of a below substantial product. Do BETTER CONSOLIDATED COMMUNICATIONS ??
