EVERYONE WHO CONSIDERS USING SBC WASTE, PLEASE READ YOUR CONTRACT THOROUGHLY. They automatically renew your 5-YEAR contract without your consent. By YOU not sending a certified letter to them saying you want to cancel BEFORE the contract is up (not sooner than 180 days but not later than 90 days - WHAT?!?!?)....automatically renews it. They don't give you notice, ask you if you want to renew. THEY JUST RENEW IT QUIETLY and **** you into another 5-year contract. Then if you try to cancel that renewal, you have to pay a cancellation fee of 6 months worth of service to BUY OUT that contract to get out of it. A monthly fee that used to be $45 when I first started is now regularly closer to $150+ once you add in all the fees that they don't walk you through when you sign.But the biggest issue is now I have to pay thousands to cancel and to lawyer up against these people. PSA -READ THE FINE PRINT. They are very quick to send you a letter telling you they will sue you if you no longer want to use their services. BUYER BEWARE of this business' way of doing business. They are one way when they want your business, but once you sign, they treat you very poorly and make sure you are a hostage.Review fromTeri C

***** came at the end of our workday to talk to us about signing on with them. we told him we were with groot, we had a contract. "don't worry, we will get you out of it", we will charge you $80/month, which was significantly less than groot. After that, groot said we had 3 more years, and *** wasn't buying them out. we now were stuck with sbc, (and Groot) we signed a yellow paper when he was at our store. He was never heard from again, he even blocked us from emailing him. We had to sign a contract with no end date. everytime we added the end date of 5 years, they rejected it. They are not trustworthy, you can't get in touch with anyone, always tells us to contact customer service, which is basically just a call answering center. they can't do anything.and now they just added a $10 fee, because they can, its a "business compliance" fee, sounds bs to me. no warning of the added fee, its on the invoice that they can add fees like that. The Trendy Table started services on 7/1/2024.
In October, ***** requested we credit the charges from 7/1/2024-7/23/2024 reporting that the container was not being used.
Additionally, ***** contacted our office multiple times to report that the container was missing. But each time she called, our operations manager would go to the location and find the container there. Despite, not understanding what ***** was trying to achieve by reporting such events, *** honored her request and waived the charges, including all the late fees in effort to move forward.
Furthermore, per a direct conversation with our legal ******, ***** offered to pay the remaining balance if we made this billing adjustment. The requested credit was immediately applied and a confirmation of this was emailed to her on the same day.
*** honored her request and rectified her reported concerns on 10/29/2024.
We received her first payment on 10/31/2024 since service and billing commenced on 7/1/2024. Services were interrupted in September due to 2-months of non-payment and not due to **** lack of responsibility to service.
To our dismay, we are blindsided to learn the ***** from The Trendy Table reported such a dissatisfied review, as we have gone above and beyond to resolve her concerns.
Moreover, SBC received an email of gratitude and appreciation for the satisfactory resolution of this matter (See email copied below), which is contradictory to her posted review. This contradiction is similar to the multiple reportings of her missing container, yet we located it each time we arrived to check. Perhaps the customers intention was to build a case to establish grounds to request a credit from get go. Alizas true intention will remain unclear to us.
SBC Waste Solutions continues to strive to provide all of its customers with the same excellence, transparency, and integrity each customer deserves. Rest assured, this is our daily mission, and we take significant pride.

I am a property manager, and I am adding new assets to my portfolio every year. Along with that, I am weeding out big garbage companies ( we all know the big green or blue dumpsters!) and their unfair pricing practices. SBC has provided stellar service in every area where I own properties, I have met their sales team personally, and that sets them up in my mind as a unique garbage company.Five years and counting, SBC has increased their SERVICE and value to my company. Obvioysly, prices have gone up since COVID era when I first signed with them, but nothing that I would say is abnormal, it seems to follow the rate of inflation.Obviously, there have been some small problemsa broken wheel on a dumpster, or snow in an unplowed alley, and the driver compkained, but nothing extraordinary or like what I have read in some of the negative reviews.I am happy to say that any issue was met with a real person in the office, or a call to my sales reps **** phone!Review fromMichael S

Beware. Enter into a contract with SBC and you will lose. Period. Not a question, it is a fact. You will regret. Original contract was $275, six months later I was at $585 with random charges that took me over $600. When questioned, SBC said they have the right, by contract, to raise prices. When I wanted to void the contract, they immediately threatened legal action. I chose the buy out, $6,680. OUCH! I have been in business for 45 years. Never have I encountered a business that is more bent on cheating and legal fraud than SBC Waste Solutions.S.B.C. Waste Solutions, Inc.

Hello ****,This is not the case. The contract clearly stated that the $275 is plus taxes and fees .. which brings a total higher. We never doubled your rate in 6 months.. this is misleading and not true. If you choose to fund a new hauler a cheaper price than thats great for you but please do not point the finger at us and say that we were overcharging as you had a below market value rate. Is there cheaper companies that take losses in the garbage business to win your account. 1000% this is how it works and they will increase you significantly.. We are sorry your experience didnt work out but we did everythign to service you on time and provide a great service. I own two apartment buildings, and a business, and they are reasonably priced. I have been with SBC Waste since COVID, and I have never had an interruption in service.I recently recommended them to a friend after their ************* ******* jacked their rates for the second time in a year. That ******* ( R******* W****) does that to everyone. SBC did charge me for extra costs in my second year, but ******* explained that I shouldn't have put concrete in my dumpster (oops...I replaced a rear staircase at on of my units). My workers did it.After a couple conversations, I couldn't get out of the whole charge for overages, but they did reduce my rate, because all companies do charge for concrete. They really worked to explain it to me.But I would recommend them over those big haulers.S.B.C. Waste Solutions, Inc.

I have been using SBC for the last 2 years for services and they have been great to date. **** always answers my calls when I contact him and this past time was important because we needed service during the snow storm and it was completed the same day.
