      Back in NOVEMBER i wanted my distribution for my retirement available for January 1st to pay my ********************** . its now Jan 21!!! still no money

      They do not even deserve 1 star requested hardship for college and they approved send me confirmation stating allow up to 2 days needed money to pay before classes were dropped . When I kept calling asking where the money was they finally told me it accidentally was canceled and I would have to request again . So unprofessional if they accidentally cancel what they habe approved what are they really doing with my money. Hate hate hate this company !!!

      Terrible, terrible, terrible. These folks could not organize a two-car funeral procession. Every year they make a distribution from my Deferred Compensation account. The money leaves the account and for WEEKS they are unable to tell me how many shares were sold, what the selling price was, how much the *** will get, how much my state treasury will get, and how much will come to me. The funds money just disappears into the ether. For the past couple of years they have told me that they will initiate a Research Request to find the funds and that they research will take "about a week". It is astounding that, in this digital age, they have no clue where your funds are, who will get them, or when they will get them. ********. Stay away if you are able!!!

      Ive been waitings a couple of weeks for a check from a withdraw, this company is so horrible. The customer service *****, they say 3-5 days but its been weeks for me. There no tracking number, each representative changes the rules. They dont care at all, I still havent received anything and I dont know what to do. They are not much help at all.

      I initiated a hardship withdraw for my home mortgage purchase in December of 2024, and have had to submit every existing shred of paperwork not only that they have requested but every single page that exists relevant to the mortgage loan. But every time they email a response stating that the paperwork for my loan is not the correct documentation. I have confirmed with my loan officer that they provided the contract in its entirety. In all I have submitted 44 total pages of documentation to Principal Financial Group but they still insist that there is some mysterious missing piece of data that I have not provided. It has been an exhausting and miserable experience dealing with this company and have been given the run around from the beginning. Its unfortunate however it is painfully obvious that they are using unethical business practices with their clients own money to stall and prevent access to their own funds, at least as far as hardship withdraws are concerned. I highly recommend rolling your funds to another financial institution that actually cares about its client base. If you read the reviews, you will see that I am not the only one this is happening to. The *** needs to investigate into this matter because it seems like it is a trend of unethical behavior. Side not: I have two jobs and I initiated a hardship withdraw from that company that required only two pages of documentation and the funds were in my account within two days. Shout out to ********!

      Been waiting on a loan check for 2 1/2 weeks now. I've called 5 times, everytime I call the date keeps getting pushed back. Promising me, oh it will be in in two days. **************** is terrible. Needed the check for bills but in my opinion principal doesn't care about their customers.

      I have Power of attorney for my Fianc that can not be around and they gave me the round around for 3 months and still wouldnt give me access to the account they wouldnt even let me change the phone number on the account ,. They say they will return phone calls and never call you back I have 4 kids that are going to be homeless cause my fianc made up his account over 4 years ago and forgot his questions and they refuse to reset his account so he can access his money they tell you the same thing over and over again so you can get off the phone and treat you like your trash plus wont let you access your money that you earned all they try to do is keep your money

      If I could give no stars I would! This company is horrible! They request the same documentation over and over for a hardship and you still never get YOUR money! I changed my contribution to 0 just to get out from this company! A bunch of crooks, liars and thieves

      $50 fee seemed high for a withdrawal, they actually took $150. Ridiculous. Plus the website is frustrating. You can't check your balance without first going through all their attempts to have to roll in other funds- every time you log in.

      First time for a 401k and getting a direct rollover or any information out of this company makes me want to **** start a 12 gauge. They have hung up on me twice and have given 0 assistance in getting my money to where it is suppose to go. I have been fighting with them for 2 months on a direct rollover and I promise you that it would be a better use of your time to pull your teeth out. Absolutely avoid this company at all costs or you may just have your money in limbo while wire transfer fees run down your account. Thank ****** for the live chat team with **** Digital Investor helping me deal with this terrible group.
