    Encore Management sent us we a notice during Christmas week, stating that owner of property was selling and we had to be out Mar 28th. 5 days prior received a lease renewal, we were prepared to sign another year lease. We have a 2 week vacation planned in March, kids are on spring break and personally we dont feel like moving in March, contacted encore management and informed we found a new place, and we need to be moved in by Feb 1st, they informed us that owner refused to let us out of lease, why? They are selling so they are now preventing us from being able to move until March. We have to be inconvenienced and forced to stay somewhere where they have clearing stated they are selling for some extra money. Reminder heat went out on Christmas Eve, 12/18 and 12/15. NO HEAT! We Was force to rent out an Air BNB on Christmas Eve because the temp was 52 degrees. So we had no heat until 12/26. Contacted Encore spoke with ***, ****** and they all stated it shouldnt be a problem to move earlier because owner wants to sell. What you dont get to do is inconvenience my family and then try to ruin spring break plans. We are willing to stay until Jan 31.

    This is the worst property management ever.I have been without air and they will not fix the issue.This issue has been going on for 2 years.No one seems to want to help resolve this issue.I dont know what to do bc I dont have another place to go.I feel I buy a good amount of rent for me dont to live in this condition.I have a child who has severe asthma and I feel like Im less of a mother bc I cant provide her with Adequate living conditions

    This company is HORRIBLE! They just took over management for my rental home which I have loved and had no problems with thus far with previous management.I contacted them and let them know I would be a little late on my rent. I always pay my rent and when I moved in * was told if you will be late just let us know. So I did that. They had the ***** to cut off my online payments and add $1000 in fees to my rent and DEMAND that I pay in office via money order for the ENTIRE AMOUNT! They even charged me $25 for having to tell me that they added $1000 in fees! $25 fee for a email?! This company is horrible and needs to be SHUT DOWN

    Fraudulent business practices. I applied for a home and was approved within 5 days. Once approved they told me the home was no longer available and they didn't have any more of that floor plan left, but I could still rent one of the more expensive floorplans. I refused and they gave me the run around for a about a week after. They finally offered to take $100 a month for one of the other floorplans. I agreed and was told I would receive a welcome package to get the move-in process started. Another lie. Despite trying to contact them multiple times after I never got a welcome email nor was I able to move in before the lease expired on my current home.

    Unfortunately this rental company knowingly lie to future residents about pending applications on homes in order to convince you to apply. I recently went on a tour for a home and was assured that there were not any pending application on the home. The agent knew that I would only apply for a home that didnt have any applications because it would give me a better chance of being approved. My application was approved for the home on Friday and by Monday, Encore claimed that the house was no longer available and that they can transfer my application to a different house. By Wednesday, that same week, they informed me that they do not have any homes available AND could not refund our $200 application fee. Encore is purposely having people apply to homes that have already been approved to other families. Now Im out $200 and homeless. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND

    No phone calls back. No communication whatsoever. I have left messages and no response. This company clearly had a glitch with their payment system which only took out the transaction fee for some reason but didn't take the full rent amount. I received an email stating a $50 charge accumulated. Called and left a vmail on option #5 but no response still. I still went on and paid the $50 late fee hoping someone would answer the call but no. After taking the rent plus $50 late charge, a few hours later I received a email stating a $185 late charge for the 5th. Called again and still no responses from encore management team. Now as of the 7th there is another charge of $185 for the 4th now making the charge $370. Also cutting off my online payment access. Might I add the move in repairs noted by the realtor still haven't been done and I moved in the property in July. They placed on the rental portal that there would be a $120 maintenance fee for whatever reason. Looking at other reviews it seems like this company mistreats/disregards tenants and breaches their contract faithfully. Something has to be done so others aren't scammed out of money.

    I can only piggy back off what most are already saying. ENCORE Is the absolute worst. My tub has been out since July and here we are in November and still has not been repaired. I had to call an entire month before they even sent a Maintenace tech out. Nothing but run around after run around. The ********************* is a JOKE. They don't come out and if they do rest assured its just going to be a quick fix so that they can get in and out. Just like most I have reached out to an attorney. I am sure we all can receive some sort of compensation and put this company out of business. DO NOT rent from them.

    I have called so many times about the renters insurance and the person over the accounts doesnt answer the phone for no one. And when she does she has an attitude Im paying renters insurance through someone else and she added to my account ******************** renters insurance. Like Im being scammed $9.50 all because the third party on the lease is not on the renters policy Ive been paying my rent and this has never been a issue or came about to be an issue until now Ive never knew the person and now we have to deal with her. I plan on finding a new place to live I wont continue to go through the unanswered phone calls and paying for things I dont have to. They worrying about money too much than the living of the homes some things are broken and need to be fixed or replaced. I hate to give this one star as well.

    Fraudulent company that illegally withholds your security deposit by any means necessary. Had problems with them from day 1 literally upon move in was threatened to be kicked out due them not taking accountability for not giving me access to the portal. Manager was nasty and rude and threatened to come to my home and put a move out notice on my door. Now three years later I have moved out and they have withheld my $2,500 deposit entirely and then some for one single charge of painting. I was already warned by my neighbors that the company is known for this and to not expect a return but to experience the fraud has completely thrown me off. I am pursuing legal action against them. To all those shopping for homes PICK SOMEWHERE ELSE!! Encore is nothing but a headache and a scam. And to the many that are experiencing the same situation as me, know your rights and dont allow them to take advantage of you.
