On a recent morning I called Lea *****, my new nonprofit compliance specialist at BryteBridge, in a moment of sheer terror, because I received a letter from the ******************** Tax Board that made me want to hide under my desk for the next thirty years. Apparently, unbeknownst to me, there was an essential component missing from my organization's status. Immediately upon hearing her voice all my considerable worries were assuaged. In her singularly professional, calming, and superbly skilled manner, Lea got to work, first calling the Franchise Tax Board to get all the necessary information, then filling out the required form and filing it all in breathtakingly quicksilver fashion. I was awe-struck at the speed with which this happened. The frightening tone of the Franchise Tax Board letter is a tactic to make nonprofits shiver with fear and it worked except I had Lea ***** on my side, and what a marvelous feeling that is! I was thrilled and overwhelmingly relieved. We then exchanged e-mails about various BryteBridge services such as corporate sponsorships, compliance, Web sites, social media, among other areas. Because Lea studied everything about the organization, I founded a few years ago through BryteBridge, she wondered why the IRS determination letter was not publicly uploaded to the IRS Web site and so soon it will be. Lea seems to have an unequaled command of even the smallest detail. She is a pleasure to work with, and I'm ecstatic to have landed in her sphere. And to top it all off, she is a kindred spirit because the organization is about animal rights and Lea is an ardent advocate herself. How fortunate am I!
