I received a letter in the mail from Clean Slate, I contacted them on 4/9 asking for help for a summons I received from a creditor. . I was told it would be $795.00 for them to help me. I was asked when could I pay. I stated I could pay on 4/25/25 and did give account info. I received an email for me to sign paperwork that I did not sign or return. forgot the conversation from 4/9/25 with Clean Slate. I was able to make payment arrangements with the creditor I owe. I checked my bank account and there was a $****** charge pending. I reached out to Clean Slate and let them know I had worked things out with the creditor owed. **** talked to me like I was nothing on 4/29/25 , He told me he had already started working on it .I asked how did you do that when you are the one who asked me to send you a copy of the Summons. That I never sent to you, ***** also said he had started working, but i never received a email or call since 4/9/25. ***** told me I was a dishonest person and I would not go anywhere in life and I have a verbal contract and I better find a way to pay the $ ****** dollars I owe and hung up the phone on me. I called back and he answered and went off on me again not really letting me speak. I was scared due to I have never been sued before. I contacted the people wo I have a payment agreement with they never mentioned talking to Clean Slate. I SEE ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE CALLING THEM SCAMMERS.Clean Slate Mediation Service

Cannot believe the dishonesty in people. She hired us 3 weeks ago and asked us to start working immediately however she could not pay the down payment until the 25th of this month. We started working for her immediately as we agreed. We also processed her payment on the 25th as we agreed. She called in yesterday and said that she changed her mind after she hired us. She has been receiving weekly email updates and at any time she could have called and informed us of that she did not, so we kept working as agreed wasting time and effort. Bouncing a check is a felony I will be pressing charges. An extremely dishonest and unfair review.K. P.

Yes I contacted your office on 4/925. Yes we had a conversation and did provide you with account info. On 4/16 I was able to arrange an agreement with creditor and provided a written answer to them and the courts within 30days of the Sumons. Clean Slate stated they had already started working on my behalf from the moment we spoke on 4/9/25 that is had for me to believe when I stated I would not be able to pay until 4/25/25 The only email I received was a ACH agreement document to sign from someone named **** .I read the agreement and then decided I did not agree with the terms and did not sign or return the email. Clean Slate stated they have been sending emails on updates O have not received any more emails since 4/9/25 and that was a document to sign . I would like proof of other emails that have been sent to my email address with the dates . I have checked my spam, trash and inbox for the emails you are stating I received.I have not received any phone calls from your company. When reached out to your office when I saw the $400 charge to my bank I spoke with a lady and explained the situation I was told some people forget to sign the paperwork but that could be done later and she would have **** give me call back.**** called me back and I explained to him that I worked it out on my own with the creditors he got upset and told me I was a dishonest person and I would not go far on life.He said much more and hung up the phone on me.When I called back he went off on me again and hung up on me again. I would like to know what did you start working on ? And how were you able to to speak with the creditors without a written statement from me on my behalf? I would think you needed some kind of documentation due to HIPPA LAW. I have the right to change my mind. Your office can get public information on a Sumons .I just want to know what did you do to help me when you stated you already started working on my behalf? I didn't bounce a check.I stopped the payment . I do apologize for contacting your office and speaking with you and also apologize if you felt I wasted your time. But don't feel I owe you anything but and apologize at this time for not using your service and not contacting you to say I worked it out myself with the ************ simply forgot about and I did change my mind. And I apologize to you **** and your company.K. P.

I would like to receive dates of emails that was sent to me I haven't received any emails I have checked my spam my inbox and my trash box, there are no emails. The only email I received was from someone named **** and that was the documents for me to sign. You stated that you had started working but it's unclear to me what you started working on there is a certain thing called HIPAA and I would have had to sign or give written permission for you to speak to my creditors I have done either of those things. Yes I stated that I did work it out with the creditors and I do apologize again for not reaching out to you. When I looked over the documents that **** had sent over to my email I decided then that I was not going to sign anything I did not agree with the things some of the things that were in the documents. Like I stated to you over the phone I reached out to the creditors and we reached a settlement agreement to what I make monthly payments to them. I do feel I had the right to change my mind and to be honest with you I forgot all about the conversation that we had over the phone until I received check my account and that was a $400 charge you stated that I bounced the check I did not bounce a check I stopped payment on the check. I feel I do owe you apologies for not reaching out to your office and letting you know that I had already set up with the creditors but I do not feel like I owe you any money for that without any signed documents. And yes you did receive a copy of the summons because that is public information you also stated that I would need to send you over a copy of the summons which I did not. Once again I will apologize for not reaching out to your office but I do not feel that I owe you any money due to the fact that there was no work done *********** may have a software that you use but I didn't sign anything for you to begin working I had 30 days to get back to the creditors I had to write a written answer to them for all of this to be taken care of I didn't write you anything and I didn't sign anything with you or your office.Review fromJ. Complete Scam!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Can not stress this enough. They promise you everything and do absolutely nothing. This is criminal what they are doing. They actually did nothing except take my money. Now I still have to deal with the case after they promised me they have so many years experience and would have it handled if not dismissed. Take it from me. Do not give them any money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Clean Slate Mediation Service

Our commitment was to either get the debt wiped out or settle the debt for substantially less. We informed him back on January 6th that they have the required proof of debt and that we need to settle this for him. He was being sued for ******* including court costs and attorney fees. We informed him how settlements worked, In short the quicker the debt gets paid back the more that they will reduce the debt by conversely the longer it takes to pay the debt back the more of the overall debt they will demand. *** gave us a payment of ***** to work with and we took that to the creditor and began settlement negotiations. We then informed *** that they creditor refused the settlement offer and the reason why they refused was that it would take far too long to pay the debt back. We also informed him at that time that we gotten the creditor to agree to reduce the debt by 33% with monthly payments and that he could either accept that offer or make a counteroffer to reduce the debt further and that would require him to make a more attractive settlement offer. We informed him of all of this back on 1/20/25, We sent several kind reminders to please respond to the multiple emails and finally a txt message to please respond. *** ignored all of those kind reminders. Our contract is very clear on this point it states exactly this. Under settlement negotiations below is taken directly from ***** contract with us,I will need to know the answer to the following two questions; first can you afford to put any money down, typically the more money you can put down the more that they will take off of the top of the debt. Second, what can you afford in a monthly payment? The customer is responsible for providing the above information in writing. If the down payment or monthly payment needs to increase due to the creditor not accepting the initial settlement offer, it is the customers sole responsibility to provide **** with the new offer in writing, for example an email will work just fine. Customer acknowledges that without their input the settlement negotiations cannot move forward. **** is not responsible for any actions that occur due to the customer not providing the required information. Any consequences that arise from a customer not providing the required information are not grounds for a ********* is important to note our customer contract has fine print, it clearly states our process what responsibilities are and what the customers responsibilities are. *** ignored all attempts to contact him and did not give us anything more to work with. We did accomplish a 33% reduction of the debt, and he could have done much better had he responded to the multiple emails and attempts. If a doctor prescribes a patient medicine and the patient ignores the doctors' instructions and does not follow the steps. is it the doctors fault? Now I realize this is not medicine and no one's physical health is at risk. Just as a doctor cannot force someone to follow instructions, neither can I. Before *** hired us I went over our entire process, they we provided a welcome letter which once again went over our entire process, finally we provided a contract that once again went over our entire process. Each one of those clearly infomed *** that he will need to respond to our correspondence which he did not do. Then he calls my company a SCAM I am passing his entire file over to my attorney to sue for slander. I have all of the documented records, every customer correspondence is time and date stamped fully documented. I am no longer going to let people put inaccurate and dishonest reviews on my company. If we have not done as promised or dropped the ball, I would own that this is not the case.J. P.

According to this response they sent me emails on 1/20 and I have not responded and text messages. On the 1/21 I did receive an email stating they did have the debt reduced according to them. With statements I am not surprised that they declined your initial offerWe did have email conversation on 1/22. With counter offers being presented. And **** informed me he would take the offers to them and this sounded like a reasonable offer. The comments were made several times that they are the professionals and they have handled many cases. Including with my specific creditor. On 2/22 I sent an email asking for an update. A month later. Have not heard anything for a month. Response on 2/22 I did not get your email from the 22nd, I will pass this on to the mediator. So they missed the email which he had because he referred to it in the email. This is not professional. I responded with every conversation, because I needed to get this handled. To this day I have not heard another response. So I have contacted the creditor and am now handling this which I should have done from the beginning. So I paid them to negotiate something which I have never heard the results. Did they accept the counteroffer? Did they Counteroffer? I have no idea. I do know I received a judgement for this case against me. So again no thanks to **** I am handling this.Review fromEdna C

I decided to use them and the guy I spoke with made promises and assured me of results and did not deliver on any. I called and was told I would receive a refund and he spent the last 6 months continuously calling and either leaving messages and being ignored or when I do get in touch with them Im told they will send another check. The only reason they get one star is because I cant give negative stars.Review fromHeidi H

I think its unfair on the negative response to Clean Slate Mediation have been. I decided to take a chance and reached out to them after speaking to multiple firms in assisting me with my situation. The turnaround for communication has been the most a day and have been in constant communication with the team in whatever was needed. They answered all my questions with 0 issues and do think they put me in the best position to deal with the creditors in comparison with going directly to the creditor with zero resources. After some days on everything got resolved.Clean Slate Mediation Service

I received letter from Clean Slate Mediation Services that a creditor had filed a lawsuit against me and we where going to court within the next couple of days. I called Clean Slate and spoke to ****, he was very nice and new his job after letting me know all that he would do for me and what he would charge for his services I asked couldn't I talk to them myself and make arrangements and I was told that the lawyers would not talk to me and that he had been working with them for 20 years and they know him. I gave him my account number and he sent me the documents to sign and agree to the terms, when I received the documents they were not correct from the conversation on the phone as far as the amount for his fee so I didn't sign. I called and spoke to one of his secretaries and explained the problem with the document and she said not to sign it and I didn't, this was all in one day. When I looked at my bank account the following day I noticed that the company had took the funds out of my account. I called **** and he told me that I hired him, I didn't hire you if I never agreed to your terms by signing any paperwork, he let me know that it was not a scam and they were not trying to take my money and I would receive a refund once the funds hits his bank , that has been over a month ago, where is my money, where is a phone call updating me on when it would be refunded? DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY, YOU CAN CALL YOUR CREDITOR AND THEY WILL TALK TO YOU AND GET YOUR PAYMENT REDUCED AND SET UP PAYMENT ARRAINGEMENTS. HE TALKS GOOD A GOOD GAME, BUT HE IS A SCAMClean Slate Mediation Service

Dealing with the public is always interesting. She never paid us anything. A new employee made a mistake when sending her the agreement. She notified us of the error and said she was handling it on her own. Her check never cleared we received no money from her.Review fromSharron L

I called **** today after getting a letter from him because one of my creditors had filed a lawsuit. I was scared because a process server was trying to serve me. It was nearly 5:00 when I called ****, at his office number, but he answered personally and seemed happy to listen to my story and answer all my questions, including how much he would charge to handle my case. After listening to my story, he said You dont need to hire me. Then he explained that in my unique situation, there was little for me to fearno one would take my house or freeze my bank account. On top of that, he told me that if I had more questions or felt worried, to feel free to call him any time! How rare is that kind of honesty and selflessness in todays world! **** places is one good guy!Clean Slate Mediation Service

Really unfair and inaccurate review. You provided us very little to work with due to your *** tax debt. The creditor is suing you for almost ******* we were able to achieve a substantial reduction of the debt with a payment that worked for you. We also informed you that you could have done better if you were to provide us more to work with. We still have an offer for further reduction waiting to see it the creditor will accept it. We are not done yet, I do understand that you are under a lot of pressure with the *** coming after you, Let's see how this finally plays out before trashing my good name.Review fromJennifer J
