This business will not except return Items. They have you pay for shipping back to them after proving there part was no good. Which wasn't easy. The carriers for shipping without a account is astronomical up to $3900. And if you don't pay that they refuse to honor there warrantee. Very bad business. bought a engine from them, arrived with a hole in it. Told it was a 85000 mile motor it looked like 300,000 mile motor. Sent pic's and mechanic's statement. Did no good. Was told they wouldn't except it unless I payed for shipping. $3,900 And couldn't use there shipping rate.Review fromJorge O.

I ordered motor from theses crooks and I mean that . Aug 8 2022 told me that it was tested and had warranty painted a pretty picture . Sent the 1400.00 and when i went to pick it up inspected it and it looked like it was picked out of the ocean bottom rusted and not worth the money as junk yes .it had the flywheel and presure plate missing .I noticed this when they unloaded it on my truck , I put a racket to turn the crankshaft and it was locked in place . They buy useless motors and then sell it to you .they are scam tugs , have tried ti contact them and only get run around . Called bank and informed them they will file claim against this rip- off to get my monies back. We understand you are upset and we apologize, you purchased a used engine that has been ran tested and we know that is good. You more then welcome to return for a refund with in 30 days like our warranty states. Also engines are to be turned clockwise if not you can throw of the timing. On the video you provided shows you were turning the engine counter clockwise.AM Used Auto Parts

I don't want to go back and forth, the video that you sent to us clearly shows you were turning the engine the wrong way. I believe you when you say that you are a experience mechanic and probably have done this a lot but again the video shows other wise. We are still willing to take the engine back for a refund. Wrong I know what I was doing . First of all clearly I should not have to do anything to prove that you all sent a motor that was never ran , checked Tested, no f flywheel no presure plate , and who knows what's else is wrong with motor. The motor rusted out, I'm not the only one who has gone through this your track record is deplorable . I'm sure you will be happy to know that I have now contacted Florida Attorney General. And wiil submit videos testimonials from others and I other documennts pertaining to your lies, fraud , deceivement practices . You never sent address to send motor back ,no return authorization return either . Tired of playing games with you all .Jorge O.

Wrong motor was never turned the wrong way timing was probably already off , no flywheel ,no presure plate . Motor never inspected as you say ,your in Florida , and motor up north . Now this is where you say that tell told you they did inspect it and ran it , how is that in only two weeks it's rusted all over . DO NOT BUY nothing from them .will forward all messages , and videos , voice message to florida attorney general for class action suit . Have a great day

Update on Amuap .com. Talked to "Gregory" claim mgt. told me to get long pry bar and rotate crankcase. I told him I shouldn't have to this I already did this in video as you observed . This motor was never tested or anything similar to that . Where is flywheel and presure plate that is suppose to be part of engine package? That demonstrate that this motor was not tested or inspected ,just shipped out from scrap yard and sold as reliable used motor.,told me to send it back for refund (-) shipping cost which I will have to pay upfront . I told him they where the ones who sent this useless motor (no flywheel no presure plate , and who knows what is not visible) . Do not fall for their lies and misleading efforts to rip you off , they will not honor what they print on black and white , I want a full refund and nothing less . Thank you *****Jorge O.

I have never turned a motor counterclockwise. I've rebuilt motors in the passed and know what I'm doing . I know this motor was not tested before shipment and its logical no flywheel , presure plate . So it magically turned over without starting it as ALL motors do . Than the flywheel and presure plate disappeared between transit . This motor was sent incomplete and defective by who ever you bought it from I don't want it , and you all will pay for return not me , I expect full refund . No excuses . I want my money back so I can purchase one from a credible company. Ball is in your court. Thank youJorge O.

I know how to turn crankshaft on engine it's clock wise of coarse it not the 1 time I've done this . Try some other excuse to get out of your responsibility. The motor was never checked before shipment as you well know .they magically turned the motor over and checked that it was in working conditions without a flywheel which was not on motor as you seen on video .So this motor doesn't need flywheel and presure plate to function properly.? I'm going to return motor ,but you all have to pay for shipping since you sent an incomplete motor and expect full refund . I have year of experience working on motors and know the difference between a used motor and one that is junk like the one you sent from up north .Review fromJoseph H

Bought a used transmission with a supposed 3 year warranty and supposedly fully inspected. I came in and third gear went almost to the dash. It still ran, so I decided to live with that. After a month, third was like neutral. A week after that it went into reverse and would not come out. I called (customer support mailbox is ALWAYS full and not accepting calls. I emailed. Never received a response. $995 for a transmission that doesn't work, plus the cost of having my mechanic put it in.AM Used Auto Parts

My experience with AM Used Auto Parts was a horrible experience! I live in Michigan and was traveling in our Sprinter Van (which we live in) in California when we broke down in Big Sur. I found the engine I needed with only 81K miles from AMUAP. When it arrived to my Mercedes mechanic in Salinas, CA at his shop, he was shocked! The engine was covered in leaked out oil as the engine hadn't even been drained, the palate was in total disrepair and, worse still, the engine was a rust bucket with its supportive parts making even putting in in our van a very difficult proposition. My mechanic said it was the worst engine he had seen and he wouldn't put it in anything! I returned it to them at my expense of $782 shipping plus paying my mechanics for 1.5 hours of labor ($135hr) just to replace the palate and repackage, properly (as it sure didn't arrive that way) . I sent an email and left numerous messages for the managing supervisor.....CRICKETS. I finally got him on the phone and requested they pay for the return shipping and palate rebuild costs as this engine was so unacceptable. He denied that so I told him I would at least let the BBB now. His response was; "I'M NOT SURPRISED FOR A LIBERAL"! I guess he thought that he knew someones political leanings because of where they are traveling? I corrected him on just how wrong that was and he hung up. STAY AWAY FROM AUAMP! My apologies that you had a very bad experience with us and that you are not satisfied. I understand that you were not happy with the product but these engines are used and will have wear and tare, gaskets will need to be replaced prior to installation. We present all this info to the customer before part is shipped out so they are aware. We understand mechanics have opinions about products but does not mean they are not working parts. Engines are ran tested. Once the part was returned we sent you a full refund no restocking fee or shipping fee deducted. As for political issues we do not get involve with that.Review fromRobert M.

Hello, first of all I apologize that you are upset about how the engine arrived. I see that the engine arrived with out the intake. That part of the engine was damaged and we removed it before it was shipped out. This part of the engine is listed in our warranty as "Components not Covered under our warranty" please see below... BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! This business sells used auto parts. I purchased a used transmission as that was the only thing my customer could afford. They said it had a 12 month part only warranty. When the transmission arrived the fluid in the transmission was badly burned indicating an internal problem causing the fluid to overheat. We would not even service a transmission that showed up at our shop with this fluid condition. We informed AM Used Auto Parts and was told it was working when they took it out. They said we would have to install it and then report to them it was faulty to file a warranty claim. The transmission has a part only warranty. I asked "Do you mean you want me to install to prove it faulty and charge the customer twice because it's a part only warranty" and he responded "Yes". We don't work like that, we are here to protect our customers. They will take the part back and charge me 20% restocking fee and I have to pay the freight for them selling me a faulty part. The cost to return the transmission would be 2/3's what I originally paid.Richard R

This particular transmission had limited availability and that's how we ended up with you. If we had checked your reviews and your Google ratings we would never had ordered the unit from you. My hope is that i can part this unit out and find some good used parts inside to offset my loss as I have already purchased a replacement unit. We feel that knowing this unit had internal problems and installing it anyway would have constituted Deceptive trade practice.

AAMCO Transmissions is the Worlds Largest Transmission Specialist. If a vehicle with burned transmission fluid, like the one you sent me, came to our shop for a service, even though it was shifting properly, we would not service the transmission. The reason is the new transmission fluid would do more damage than leaving the old fluid in the transmission. Servicing the transmission is what you require along with changing the seals to qualify for the warranty. The transmission we purchased from you had a 12mo/ 12K mile part only warranty. In our conversation I asked you "So you want me to put a known failed transmission in the customers vehicle and when it does fail, and it will, they will pay labor again?". Your answer was "yes". We don't do business like that. My job is to protect our clients in an area where they do not have expertise and I do.
As to your returning it for a full refund. The transmission would have to be shipped back to Detroit, Mi where you had it drop shipped from. I checked the rates on the same carrier your shipped on and the freight charge would be $404.92 plus a fuel surcharge of $201.65, plus $181.80 x 2 =$363.60 lift gate charge (one at each location), for a total of $970.17 just to GET MY FULL REFUND of $1,499 - $970.17 or $528,83 for a faulty part. Additionally, if this unit came from Detroit and you are in Florida how did you confirm the condition of the unit. Myself and your party in Detroit are the only ones to physically see this unit.AM Used Auto Parts

We do test these parts while they are still in the vehicle and make sure they are shifting properly. The warranty does clearly state that before the part is installed customer must replace oil, filter, gaskets and seals. I understand you assume the transmission is bad because of the fluids, we do not warranty parts based on fluids. It is a used part. I would never tell a customer to install a transmission that I know is bad, neither will I sell a part that i know is bad to a customer. Just like you like to protect your customers so do we. we are here to help people. We sell over 700 used units a month and understand these parts like you do. You are saying the part is bad because of the fluids which is not the case. Warehouse assure us the part was tested and is a good transmission.
