    This place specializes in scamming and extorting money from customers. I had reserved a car through an online portal called Rentalcars.com where I had been advised that I may CHOOSE additional insurance upon pickup of vehicle. I DID have iINSURANCE COVERAGE OF MY OWN AND DID NOT REQUIRE ANY ADDITIONAL INSURANCE. I was FORCED to pay an additional $707.29 in insurance costs. I observed customer reps at the counter repeating this extortion of insurance fees on others when I returned vehicle. The vehicle had NO windshield wiper fluid in it and there was soap residue on windshield. This made driving very hazardous. As well, the vehicle had the "needs servicing" warning on dashboard, so cruise control does not work when vehicle is in this mode. I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE ZERO STARS, FOR RUINING MY HOLIDAY

    BEWARE. Bait and switch.Great rates , sure. BUT ... they Double ( Some triple ) once you're there with Not alot of options As they make you an "offer you can't refuse" last minute for OVER PRICED additional SO CALLED ************************************ WHICH you could have easily gotten from your own regular car insurance ahead of time, IF they would have only been more transparent. ) I even called them ahead of time to double check , and they told me that my insurance was a "good one" , and that I should be "all right "....Ha ! NOTHING further fr the truth , OR Anything about the ************** that they would require of once you are there , OR else you can't get your vehicle , period ! ( Which Btw, I could have gotten FOR LESS than 10 bucks For 6 months of coverage , for which THEY will charge you "only" $25 ....PER DAY , IF they're in a good mood that day , as per some of the other reviews ! ) These obviously lesser known cos have now "graduated" from TRYING their best to sell you all the extra insurance that you do NOT need at the last minute , to giving you NO choice BUT to "purchase" it ..I would have to assume it's the majority of them , If not All. ( Usually all within the same location / vicinity fyi - ...coincidentally ? ) , As per 100% of the many reviews on them,( ****** Learned : Unfortunately checked After the fact ) I will predict a company name change soon , But of course a continuation of the same modus operandi. Stick to the well known established cos. people. Too good to be true...Usually IS , and NOT worth the hassles.( Btw, they got a Big Fat "F" rating from The Better Business Bureau ....shocking ! )

    If I could give them 0 stars I would! My husband and I rented from them for our wedding in ******* we got in from the airport we got shuttled to the car garage! Unkept is an understatement, they rented us a car with no brakes lights! We tried to get in touch with them which I was hung up on 16 times, I emailed them to get a response 48 hours later mind you my wedding day now and they said to drive back 2 hours from the keys to their location otherwise they cant help! **************** sucks! They dont care about safety and they will try to drain your bank account with outrageous rates and fees for sunpasses! Dont trust this company! Terrible experience!

    Horrible car that they gave us and then charged us a $300 smoking fee which neither of us smoke. Tried customer service got hung up on multiple times and was told only way to communicate was by email, sent multiple emails with no response. Went through bank whom did investigation and the company responded saying it was a legitimate charge which is total ******** because neither of us smoke.

    This company is the worst I've ever dealt with. They are determined to charge you for insurance no matter how much proof you provide that you have coverage. We have rented from all major US rental companies, $100,000 vehicles without purchasing any extra coverage. Our insurance policy has very high limits and we also provided an umbrella policy that covers anything not covered by our auto or homeowner policies. They did not care. They proceeded to collect an additional $80 per day for insurance making the insurance for this rental more than triple the rental cost and more than a year of insurance coverage cost. In addition they did not pick us up at the airport as their contract states and would not answer the phone when we called. Also, we reserved a Toyota and got a Kia. The car had no power. Don't even consider using this company!!! You would be better off walking

    I am beyond disgusted with this company! 1. We arranged and paid for a mid-size rental and received a compact car for a week in March in the ******* Keys - with four adults and luggage!2. Wednesday - Car wouldn't start - had to find mechanic to get it going again.3. Friday night - interior lights came on but car wouldn't start. Tried customer service number -- only spoke Spanish and hung up on me - twice! Managed to reach English booking agent - he was helpful in getting someone to call me back. The rep told me to go to Autozone and get a new battery -- the LIGHTS CAME ON -- definitely not the battery. We managed to get it to start but left it run all night because we didn't want to turn off.4. Asked for a replacement car -- was told because we were in Marathon and not *****, they couldn't get ** a replacement car. No accommodation to get us back to *****.5. Bumper came loose -- they had tried to glue it back on. We tied it up so we could drive back to *****. 6. Upon returning to *****, rep apologized for everything that had happened and told us that the Owner said that the rental would be reversed. We took them at their word -- didn't get it in writing. Said Owner appreciated that we were able to get car back to ***** and they didn't have to go pick it ** in Marathon.8. Cost was NEVER reversed. I filed claim with credit card company (which they charged when we picked up the car) and they said the company would not reverse charges because the car was returned and that their hands were tied.9. I continued to correspond with company. They flatly said their policy was no refunds.They ruined the end of my vacation. The car itself was unsafe to drive -- lucky we made it back to *****.So much wrong with this company! I should have read the reviews before renting. DO NOT rent from ColUSA. I would leave a "0" rating if it was an option...
