      Andrea ******ady spent thousands of dollars on this vacation and made our travel plans for specific dates AND other family members (separate party) had also scheduled their stays for the same time, we were forced to look elsewhere for a suitable property and ended up paying DOUBLE what our original reservation cost us. We found one of the only available properties large enough for our family and available during our dates on **** for $10,191.27 - this is significantly more than we expected to pay for lodging but it was the result of Sandestin's irresponsible actions. Sandestin refunded our deposit (only after our call), but we are seeking a refund of the FULL amount we would have paid ($5450.08) due to the extra costs we incurred as a result of Sandestin's error and lack of communication. Had they notified us back in February, we would have had time to find other accommodations at a better price, but instead, we found out about the cancellation OURSELVES JUST 2 WEEKS BEFORE OUR VACATION DATE.

      The property the guest booked was part of Cottage Rental Agency in November 2023. The property owner selected a new rental company and it was our impression that all existing reservations would be honored by that company. We were later notified that the new rental company would not be honoring the reservations. At that point our team was directed to call all guests and notify them of this change. It was our understanding that this task had been completed and all guests were informed. However, it was later discovered when the guest called to inquire about the balance on their reservation that that they had not been contacted and we processed their deposit immediately.

      I stayed at the Sandestin Beach and Golf Resort and was mauled by bedbugs.

      We showed no correspondence from the guest during the stay regarding this claim.  Once the post departure survey (6.14.23) was received from the guest with a mention of bed bugs we immediately took the unit out of order and contacted our pest control company,  ****** with a request of a full inspection of the unit.  The inspection was completed on 6.15.23  at 12:56pm with a negative result. Mosquitos and no-see-ums are very prevalent this time of year so the bites could have been from that source.
