If I could give 0 stars I would. My car was recently totaled and I still owed $5000 on my car after insurance. This company paid a whopping $2000. My refund from the dealership for the contract paid more. Im getting legal help involved and will NEVER use this company again. They extort you and bs their way out of paying their part. TWS, if you read this, how about you actually read your reviews instead of trying to victimize yourself. Be a real company and do what youre actually supposed to do. Sorry company.

*********************, we have reviewed your file to ensure your *** claim was processed accurately and we can confirm that the claim was processed in line with the terms and conditions of the Guaranteed Asset Protection (***) Contract Addendum.
The outstanding balance as of the date of loss is in part contributed to the difference in value between your primary insurance carrier and the actual cash value of your vehicle ******* As part of the *** calculation, we compare the value assigned by the primary insurance carrier and the actual cash value of the vehicle as provided by ****.  In doing so, per the *** addendum, the greater value is used.  Please refer to Waivable Loss under the Definitions section of the *** Contract Addendum which states:  The difference between the Net Payoff on the Date of Loss and the greater of: (1) the Primary Carrier settlement, or (2) the Actual Cash Value of the Covered Vehicle.
In your case, the primary insurance carrier valued your vehicle at $17,693.51 (includes $243.00 Condition adjustment) and **** valued your vehicle at $18,600.00.  **** was the greater amount and therefore, the *** calculation used ****s value of $18,600.00.
As it relates to how the insurance company valued your vehicle, we are unfortunately unable to comment on the value the insurance company assigned to your vehicle and recommend you reach out to your primary carrier with further questions.
In addition, as part of the calculation of the *** amount, we deducted the service contract refund $2,488.00 (this amount was credited to your loan by the dealership). To summarize:
Net Payoff at time of Loss $23,156.51
Less **** at time of Loss $(-)18,600.00
************ Contract Refund (Dealer Refund) $(-)2,488.00
      *** Payment $2,068.51

The *** benefit amount is calculated by taking the Net Payoff which is calculated based on all loan payments being paid on time as represented in the original loan payment schedule. With that in mind, $23,156.51 would be the loan amount owed as of the date of loss. The insurance carrier settlement amount was $17,450.51 (with a $243.00 condition adjustment which is the customers responsibility),indicating that there would have been a balance of $332.56 owed to you had the loan payments all been paid in accordance with your loan schedule.
At this time, we respectfully stand by our decision, and hope this gives you a better understanding as to how the *** benefit was calculated.
      Thank you,
      Total Warranty Services

TWS is a total JOKE, this company should not even be allowed to offer warranty services. I took my car to the dealership because the torque converter is bad and they claimed because my vehicle was used to do Lyft for a month 2 1/2 years ago that it voids my warranty and my claim was denied. I was never informed that if you use YOUR personal vehicle to do Lyft it voids your contract, they claim it's in the contract which I didn't see in the contract. Consumers pay all this money for these warranty services and they look for any little thing to deny claims. This company is not for consumers and I will never buy warranty coverage through them again AND I will be informing ALL friends and family if they are offered as an option for warranty services to DECLINE and DENY the offer like they do much of their services. I wish I could leave 0 stars.

I have a Road Hazard and Tire policy from TWS. I recently had a blowout and had to get a new tire and rim for my truck. They approved the claim the same day on one phone call, and paid for the tire, the rim, the towing to the dealership, and all of the labor and taxes. Great experience.

I have a 2017 ****** that has been at the dealership because my transmission went out for 3 weeks now still waiting on an answer from Total Warranty. I took it to the dealership I got the car and warranty and what do you know they cant work on it because it is a ******. So now ****** is at a stand still so we finally call total warranty ourselves and have been on hold with no answer because waiting to talk to an adjuster. Well how long can we wait? I just need an answer. But I was told that they were missing info on getting spark plugs changed, brake fluid changed and what ever else they require. But what does that have to do with my transmission going out??? I have maintained my car as far as oil changes, transmission fluid changes, tire rotations, fluids being checked and they have all that documented. But I guess that is their loop hole of getting out of service they provide even though they say it is provided to me at no cost!! There is nothing NO cost it is absorbed in the cost the vehicle you buy. It is a sad why to do business to help your fellow American who puts their trust in a company that was stated would help you.

**************** received a **************** Powertrain Warranty at no cost with the purchase of his vehicle. The Limited Warranty requires that all scheduled maintenance be performed, and that proof of these service be provided in the event of a claim.Total Warranty Services was contacted by ********************* on 08/18/2022 with the report of transmission failure. At that time, we requested proof of maintenance. On 08/25/2022, we received a batch of maintenance records; missing from this batch of records is proof of completion of 26 services that are required according to the ************** schedule. This missing service records pertain to the following services: 18 engine oil and filter changes, 4 engine air filter replacements, 1 spark plug replacement, 1 engine coolant replacement. We informed the service advisor who **************** is working with at the ****** dealership that we are unable to proceed unless we receive records for the missing services. The limited warranty states failure to show proof that all scheduled maintenance and repairs have been performed may void coverage under this lifetime limited powertrain warranty. As an administrator, we are obligated to enforce the terms of the warranty. Therefore, we are unable to proceed with the claim unless we receive proof that the required services were performed. Kind regards, Total Warranty Services

*** is awful and useless. My car has been at the dealership for 3 weeks due to a transmission issue the *** powertrain warranty should have covered. This issue didn't arise until the dealer worked on it for brakes and rotors. Now all of a sudden their is a transmission issue which should be covered by *** and they have declined my service request. To add to the issue, the dealership **************** is trying to hold my feet to the fire about service not being done that was never recommended. There is no doubt this warranty service is a joke. The pitch it as a great service, but when you need them, they just decline the coverage saying you didn't have the service done that was required to keep the warranty in place. This service is a joke and hopefully people won't fall for the false claims of being there to protect you or the empty promises that are pitched with this completely useless service. *** was included in our purchase back in 2013. It wasn't until now I find out they don't cover what they say they do or what was "pitched" to us by the dealer.

****************** received a lifetime limited powertrain warranty at no cost with the purchase of his vehicle. The warranty requires that all scheduled maintenance be performed and proof of service be provided in the event of a claim. ****************** provided his service history, and it was determined that he was missing multiple services, including an oil change, several engine air filter replacements and a spark plug replacement. A coolant service was also done ****** miles late. The limited warranty states failure to show proof that all scheduled maintenance and repairs have been performed may void coverage under this lifetime limited powertrain warranty, therefore this claim was denied. While we understand that dealing with a mechanical breakdown is frustrating, as an administrator, we are obligated to enforce the terms of the warranty, a warranty that was provided at no cost by the dealer. ****************** did not complete the services necessary to keep the warranty in force, so this coverage was voided.Kind regards,Total Warranty Services

TWS is owned by the majority owner of the dealerships. It is easy for them to decline service when those dealerships "service advisors" don't recommend or advise the services then hold people to them. I have learned a very valuable ****** in this ordeal. The "missed" servoces had no effect on the transmission which leads to even more skepticism on their decisions. This is he said/she said and will never be resolved in a positive way. TWS will never say they were wrong and just hold customers feet to the fire.

Ive requested a cancellation and refund for this Total Warranty Service warranty because it is effectively unconscionable. Ive also told the dealer to stop selling their products, and that I will never buy a car from a dealer who offers them. There is nothing total about their warranties, and their service is questionable. After having 3 separate adjusters looked at the car regarding latent damage to the engine, they initially said they would cover the entire engine. Then they said theyd cover just the cylinder heads. THEN they came back to say they wouldnt cover anything based on a technicality in the contract, despite my repeated attempts to mitigate any damage to the vehicle. Meanwhile I am 1 1/2 months without a vehicle, waiting for them to come to a decision they apparently could have made from day one. Something doesnt seem right with this company, and in addition to writing this review, requesting a full refund, and advising the dealership to break ties with them, Im researching consumer protection attorneys; I think their products and/or their interpretation of their products need closer scrutiny. Ive told the dealer Id be happy to deduct from any refund for the $ amount of the paper on which this warranty is written, because its not even worth the paper its written on.

********************, Your vehicle was driven into the dealership with a concern of the vehicle overheating. The vehicle was diagnosed, and the technician found that the vehicle was severely overheated and requested a replacement engine to resolve this concern. Through our initial inspection, we found that the vehicle was at a previous repair facility for an overheat concern. The thermostat was replaced and the overheat condition persisted where the vehicle was taken to the current repair facility. At this time, the failure to the heads already occurred from continued operation in an overheated state which is excluded from coverage. The vehicle was continuously operated and driven into the current repair facility after repairs to the cooling system which consequentially damaged the cylinder heads. Your claim was initialized on the 14th of July where the claim was inspected, reviewed, and requested additional pictures of head failure/warpage and teardown of the engine. On the 20th of July, we were informed that the repair facility is no longer requesting an engine replacement and would prefer not to tear down the engine. We proceeded to request the information to continue the claims process and received a call on the 27th of July that were able to proceed with the second inspection. Our inspector verified that the cause of failure was due to excessive overheat and the claim was denied on the 29th of July. Your claim was denied for a breakdown caused by overheating which is located on page 6 in the What this service contract does not cover section. Cancellations for your contract are processed through the selling dealership, however; TWS will begin the cancellation process in an effort to resolve your concern. With kind regards, TWS Management

I paid for a $3000 platinum wrap around and my transmission had issues that cost $2000, they refused to cover it because it was a wearable item. I understand it is wearable but I started having issues at around ****** miles which is ridiculous. They refused to understand that so now I paid $3000 for nothing and am going to have to pay another $2000 for a mechanical issue with my car. Never again.

On 07/15/2022, TWS received a claim from ********************* for replacement of the manual transmission clutch assembly on Mr. *** ****** vehicle. The vehicle is still under factory warranty coverage through Dodge. However Dodge does not cover replacement of the clutch as it is a wearable component and is considered to be a maintenance item, similar to brake pads. The Platinum Powertrain Wraparound coverage that ********************** purchased is not a maintenance contract, therefore it too excludes the clutch from coverage. Mr. *** ****** contract does offer extensive coverage for many non-maintenance repairs upon expiration of his factory warranty coverage, including those for costly items such as the navigation unit, electronic steering gear, various air conditioning components, and more. In the event of a covered breakdown, ********************** can have the repair facility contact us, and we will work to process the claim as quickly and efficiently as possible. ********************** received a lifetime limited powertrain warranty at no cost with the purchase of her vehicle. The warranty requires that all scheduled maintenance be performed and proof of service be provided in the event of a claim. Unfortunately, ********************** only provided one service record for over ****** miles of vehicle ownership. Based on Nissans factory recommended maintenance schedule, 10 additional oil changes should have been performed. The limited warranty states failure to show proof that all scheduled maintenance and repairs have been performed may void coverage under this lifetime limited powertrain warranty, therefore this claim was denied. As an administrator, we are obligated to enforce the terms of the warranty, a warranty that was provided at no cost by the dealer. ************************, Your claim was called in by Tire Kingdom stating that your vehicle was running hot and radiator fans were not turning on. The repair facility diagnosed the issue, removed the radiator fan without prior authorization, and requested the replacement of the fan assembly. We authorized the fan replacement on the same day diagnoses was provided to TWS. Per the claim notes, the part was backordered through the manufacturer, therefore, Tire Kingdom was not able to perform the authorized repairs on your vehicle with OEM components. Unfortunately, the repair facility was unwilling to work with us after removing the part from your vehicle and not being able to source a replacement part. Furthermore, they did not call or invoice for payment using the aftermarket parts that were provided. If the vehicle has been repaired, please submit all invoices with proof of payment to ************************************* for further review. If you have any questions or concern, please contact us at *************. With kind regards, TWS Management
