This probably sounds like a normal thing but here's to another crummy apartment complex (******************, *****, ID, ****** who's out to take your money. If you end up choosing this place, make sure to ask about all their little charges up front, they like to add them and they stack up. Also check your bill out every month they like to have surprise "oops that was an error on our part" fees. We moved out and they have a standard cleaning fee that is in the lease but the amount is not so they can charge you whatever they want. Asked for an itemized list to show what discrepancies there was and they told us to professionally kick rocks. When we called numerous times to get this figured out, they acted confused and told us that we can talk to the manager but then guess who isn't there, that's right no manager. Stay far away from this place or have a lawyer on retainer for when you need to file against them.

My daughter chose the Cottages as an option for the Fall 2024 lease. She went to visit and she liked it and she asked me to start the application while she was reviewing other apartments and discussing with her potential roommate. Unfortunately I made a mistake. I thought I was signing an application but I went ahead and signed the lease. I immediately called to cancel and I was told that there was nothing to do and that I had to pay ***** USD for the full term or tried a relet. I called twice more and I was given the same answer. There was no email on the website where to write. Only a phone number where a virtual agent would reply. Finally I found an email of the Cardinal Group and I wrote to ask for a cancellation. With my surprise I was finally told that I only had 72 hours to cancel and that I sent the letter after 7 days instead. I complained because I was ill advised by the leasing agents at the Cottages and sent a proof of the phone calls I made the same day. Communicating with people at the ******** is very difficult. I am asking here for someone to help me resolve this. I cant believe that I will be liable for ***** USD of lease just for a mistake.

This management is so terrible, I regret living at ******, it was the worst experience of my life. The management always has an attitude and no manners. They are uneducated and not helpful, they do not care about tenants safety or wellbeing. I have never felt so upset by a company in my life to feel compelled to write a review like this. The potholes in the roads are ridiculous and they do not care to fix, there isnt enough parking, whenever there is renovations they allow for shards, wood planks, trash, etc to sit out for weeks. Maintenance is bad too. This whole management needs to change. I wish I could give 0 stars.

When we first went in to rent an apartment it seemed nice and the price was reasonable. We were happy to get our daughter in a safe location. We wanted to secure it right away so we sat in the office to do the application on our phone with their help since there were some glitches on their end with submitting the application. Fast forward to move in day and the apartment we secured was not the one that our daughter checked into. After about a week of continued emails we ended up paying more because the room we originally wanted was no longer avail but she needed a semi private room and wasnt going to stay in the same room with a stranger with all the studying she needed to do.The parking was a terrible situation for a single girl taking night classes. Our daughter had to park and walk from a couple streets away which made it difficult to grocery shop and also unsafe at night due to the homeless in the area. The worst of all was the week she was moving out they shut off the hot water and AC (in July) without warning. The last couple of days they removed the water heater and had workers in hazmat suits telling the roommates they should not be near all the taped up area due to mold problem they were fixing. We did not receive any notification on any of this and no responses whatsoever to any of the roommates trying to reach out to management in this regard. They should have at least gave us back the last week of rent so the roommates could find safer housing a not be breathing mold. My daughter moved out July 31 and we never heard back from management yet even though we have both made multiple attempts. They have the place run by kids at the front desk and management is a ********* forward three months later they still have ignored all communication to resolve the issue with a partial refund for the final week without hot water and cool air, but they responded to a ****** review with no resolution. What a joke.

Worst apartment I have ever lived in. We had a flooding occur on December 2023 and they didnt get around to fix it until the beginning of January. Me and my roommate were asked to vacate the premises for 3 days as they specified that would be the maximum time. They kept prolonging the fix saying they needed to find the right company or the vendors havent started fixing the issues yet. At one point we had a ***** problem and my other 3 roommates also had to vacate the apartment as well. It took them more than the time they originally told us it would take for pest control to get there. We had to pack up all the clothes we had and clear every single cabinet from the bathrooms and kitchens. To this day they are still packed as we were told there were specific times we could not enter the building while they were working. We didnt bring all of our personal belongings as they never gave us an appropriate time frame for the completion of the apartment. On may 24th, I went to retrieve items from my old apartment and found a notice for pest control. The apartment complex did not alert us that there would be pest control and we were never told that would be happening at the apartment we are paying for. Since January, we have been staying in the model unit which had limited cabinet space as the kitchen cabinets are filled with expired food. Just this past week, they alerted us that our apartment was finally completed and we were able to move back in after six months of construction. We walk into our bedroom and the toilets are incredibly dirty, the bathtub too, and the outlets were unscrewed. This demonstrated that they did not review the quality of work that the vendors provided and expected us to move into a filthy environment. They stated in an email months ago that they would have the apartment thoroughly cleaned before we moved back, which was not completed on their part. My roommate opened the cabinets and found a dead cockroach. They didnt bother to clean at all.

This place manages my appartment complex, **************. They are terrible. They are running this place like a slum. Laundry facility that hasn't been working for 6 months, leaving hit water off for 5 days and no reimbursement for it, charging current residents way more then new, poor property management. The office and ******************************** (RJ) has a horrible attitude towards his residents and to the property and problems associated. They violate leasing agreements.

I signed my lease to move here in August 2023. Initially, I was placed in an uncleaned room, but the issue was promptly resolved on the same day by switching me and my roommate to another apartment. Both my roommate and I specifically chose NON SMOKING rooms due to our affiliation with the ****************** where testing positive on a drug test carries severe consequences. However, both roommates in our new apartment turned out to be smokers. One smokes cigarettes outside, which is acceptable, but the other smokes weed both in his room frequently and in the living area once. We addressed this concern with him and reported the issue to the apartment management TWICE, seeking a resolution. The provided solution was as follows:"We will also be giving him a call to let him know this behavior must stop, and he needs to clean up the apartment from the pictures you have provided. I am willing to force transfer this roommate out of the apartment for his violation, or you and your roommate are able to transfer as well, but the fee would still be associated."Additionally, if we want to switch rooms based on the multiple mistakes they made, we have to pay the room transfer fee of $300/$350 according to Miss *****. Even though ****** initially expressed willingness to switch our rooms after hearing about this incident, she later had to renege on that offer. As of day 5, the living room still has cigarette butts and rolling paper, and there are possible weed flakes left on the floor.

4 weeks into the current semester and the management group is forcing students to commit 11 months from now into another annual lease if planning to renew. From one week to the next, rates are raising $600/yr and not honoring the requested renewal document. Cardinal group does not deserve our trust or confidence.

Park East ******* awful management, awful safety, awful maintenance, awful mail system, awful move in. non sanitary To start off, one of the biggest issues here is safety. Theyre going to say that crime has no address, but this place opens their doors for crime and does not try anything at all. The gates are constantly left open or broken, both around the building and in the garage. None of the doors are locked, when they should be taking advantage of keys, its all already there. In my 1 month living here my vehicle has been broken into while I went inside for 30 minutes in the gated and surveillance garage. Park east has not wanted to cooperate with that or anything else. I witnessed a man that was going door to door on vehicles trying to get in. Random people that are not tenants here have walked through the halls, in the garage, knocked on our door.Second the building is disgusting. Theres constantly a smell of trash that is suffocating, the hallways have never been swept or dare I say mopped. Mold growing in the ceilings, cracks and holes everywhere, signs not hanging, lights out. They have had more than 2 elevators down for over a month and dont care to call someone out to fix them. The maintenance here will take 1-2 months to process your request.Upon move in our unit was not cleaned, still had trash and items from the previous tenants. It was filthy also at move in we were given a key that did not work. Still to this day we are trying to get them to do something about that key.The mail system is absolutely awful, they lose your packages after theyve been delivered, give you very minimal hours to pick things up that not a lot of people can work with. Take your Id???The place is in constant renovation, but no one is ever working and its been the same way since last year.Management does not care about this place or the people in it. Every time I go to the office I see someone with valid complaints that the staff gets upset with.

Poor management. Property do not take call because the telephone system is down all the time. Unit #*** has moled cabinet week before they fixed. Dryer for 5 tenants do not work. Missing drawers in kitchen. Dirty all over before moving in. *********************, leasing manager not caring about the request of mishandling the month rent. Housing authorities should visit this place for health hazard conditions in the apartments.
