DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! They have independent contractors who have poor customer service experience. I purchased a video doorbell from xfinity and they dont come out to your home anymore theyve partnered with this bs company. A technician came to my home 08/10/24 he was very quick with installation and showed me how to operate the app step by step. Not even 5 minutes after he left, the doorbell stopped working, and I started smelling an electrical burning smell coming from the chime box inside my house. I couldnt contact him so i contacted customer service whom created a ticket for someone to come out asap during the week. Monday morning around 6am i got a text stating an appointment was set for that evening 08/12/24 for a tech to come out between 5-8pm per my request due to my work schedule. I then got another confirmation stating it was confirmed for 5pm with the technicians information. 5pm came i heard NOTHING so i called and a customer service rep said he was on his was. Then the contractor called sounding as if he was drunk telling me his car wont start he can come in the morning. I said thats unacceptable asked for his sup. He said he is his sup and that it isn't the end of the world and can wait until another day. I paid 89$ installation costs for this bullshit? Now i can no long see the contractors information name, badge num etc. I will be filling a claim with my bank and also returning my doorbell to xfinity also giving them a bad review for this ******** company theyve partnered with.HelloTech

I ordered home security equipment and found an insert for this company to assist with install. The website and email confirmation indicated I would not be charged until services were completed. This company charges about $90 EACH per equipment installation and I ordered 3 camera's and 1 doorbell camera. I scheduled my services for a week out. They instantly charged me. I reached out to the company and was informed the policy was available to read, pre-authorization and a HOLD until services rendered would occur. I informed them that the website and email indicated otherwise. I canceled and they charged me a fee and again was told to read the policy. On top of that, they sent a text asking me to take pictures of where the install would occur and to schedule a video call to see if the equipment was compatible. Isn't that the technicians job and what payment was going to be for? Oh by the way, their website only takes positive high rated reviews. Bad business practices and unprofessionalism.HelloTech

First, after reviewing your account, we have confirmed that the payment was not fully processed, and only a pre-authorization hold was placed on the account. This pre-authorization hold confirms that funds will be available during a completed service. Additionally, technicians sometimes need photos to be provided before the service because it helps to make the installation more seamless. If a technician were to arrive and require parts or worse, the order would be unserviceable for another reason; we would save the customer time by figuring that out beforehand.

THE WORST COMPANY STAY AWAY FROM THEM. ******* stuck me with this company for a tv mount. I was charged in advance. First scheduled tech kept texting and calling me at work bothering me days before the appt. Then didn't show, wouldn't answer calls or texts and HelloTech support couldn't reach him either. Then even though I was available any time for four different dates, they kept wanting to put me off a whole nother week. Finally assigned a second worker who yet again didn't show. So now supposedly they are refunding my money but it will take 4-6 weeks so I'll believe it when I see it. And I still have a tv sitting here not mounted. This company shouldn't even be allowed to be in business they are that horrible and ******* should NEVER use them and put their customers through this nightmareHelloTech

Hello Tech charges a certain amount per month just in case you need them We have only had one technician out thats when we started the service I have called multiple times with no response; even the technician that did come said he could not get them on the phone half the time. They charge per month and really high service charges billed in advance without prior authorization or even a visit scheduled. And I had no idea they werent local They charge you cancellation fees for appointments you have not approved and they will not let you stop services or payments for lack of!!!HelloTech

Membership is not charged, just in case, as you can use our services without membership. The membership just gives special perks like discounted in-home services, free remote services, and free cancellations unless it is within 3 hours of the service, which would be just $25. Additionally, our prices are typically lower than those of our competitors, but we encourage you to shop around to find the best service for your needs. Also, we do not charge before the service is complete. You might have noticed the pre-authorization hold on the account, which is placed on the card to ensure funds are available upon completion. Regarding cancellation fees being charged without approval, this is stated in our terms of service. However, your account shows no cancellation fees, as you had our membership then.
We hope this clarifies how the system works, but we are more than happy to discuss it further if there is anything still lingering that you need assistance with.

I had several appointments with this company for an installation. At the the last minute they cancel several times. I asked for a refund I was told they refund can only be issue via PayPal or check. Thats very sketchy. I ask for refund through my form of payment they said thats not an option.HelloTech

I Hired HelloTech to help set up home office. I bought the yearly subscription for $199 thinking they would be a reliable source when tech questions come up. I had appt with tech for next day or so. The tech called the day of service (late) and said he wouldnt be able to make it. He wanted to reschedule but I was not going to waste more of my time. I requested $199 refund on June 6 and rep logged everything in. She said give it 7-10 business days. I called again on June 25 and she said she would put in another request. Today is July 2 and I was just told by representative that my refund has already been issued and i should call bank if I dont see it online. Of course I called bank and they said there is no refund. It has not been refunded. I would NOT recommend using this company.HelloTech

This is the first time I attempted to use this company because my local company was not available when I wanted service. They confirmed an appointment day and time. The day and time came and went and nothing but crickets. I chatted with a rep representative who attempted to figure out the problem. She did not but asked me if I wanted to pick another day/time. I said I did not. I figured they were not trustworthy. In fact, I finally got an email indicating my tech wasn't available anymore. Not sure how to interpret that except maybe I'm glad he didn't show up. I would leave less than 1 star if possible.HelloTech

They hide that there is a year commitment for membership in the fine print of their fine print terms. I only wanted three TVs hung. I now somehow have a year membership to a terrible company and I cant contact any support. I feel sick about this and will be filing complaints wherever I can.
