      TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY SHOULD CLOSED THIS PLACE DOWN . THEY COMMITTING FRAUD USED MY CREDIT CARD TO PAY THEIR BILLS . WHEN YOU CALL TO DISPUTE THEY ACT LIKE THEY DON'T KNMOW WHO YOU ARE AND THEY TO BUSY TO LOOK INTO IT AND NOT CARE ENOUGH TO BOTHER .

      the worse customer service. requested to have my mailing address changed. the change i had made to the website, does not update the office! told me the only way to update the office records was for me to come to office. so the mail they are sending will continue to go to wrong address, despite the smartstop website showing my correct address. totally foolish "policy". i cannot come to office as I am out of state for extended period. i have contacted over 100 entities via phone, website, emails telling my new address. only smartstop tells me i must come in person to there office in ***** to change my address. smartstop sounds more like dumbstop.

      Thank you for reaching out ****************. Our online portal doesnt currently allow a change of mailing address. The portal will allow you to change the billing address for any credit card you use for payment. We are happy to mail you a change of address form with prepaid postage. Once we receive your signed form we will update your address in our system

      My husband an I rented a unit at the ***** location for many years until the rent went up to close to $300. It was fine until my storage unit was broken into and SmartStop didnt do anything about it but encouraged to file a police report. We did but SmartStop didnt have any cameras functioning or alarms of the sort so anyone can go and steal. We decided to leave the unit and after attempting to leave the unit, the lady in the front desk said we couldnt go without paying when we had already cleared before the month ended. Fast forward to now, they tell me we need to clean the unit, its been abandoned and they emailed my husbands ARMY job looking for him. Terrible customer service and if theyre looking for any payment, they should really use the thousands of dollars my husband and I lost the night of the burglary as their payment since they had no cameras for us to even pursue anything. Questioning if hes in the army and sending dumb a** emails asking for him is so low. 0/10 recommend this place

      I am a victim of the ************** ** fire. This company has not treated us fairly. There are items in our storage unit that did not burn and is salvageable but they will not let us on the property in a reasonable manner in order to recover our belongings.

      This company is raising rents more frequently and beyond the 10% annually that is legally allowed. They have been raising our rent at least 10% every few months!

      Rip Off I have had a storage here for over 5 years . Several rate changes with no notice and poor communication. The last issue I attempted to pay my storage fee late but before the following month and received error message there is no account available under my personal information. I called and logged into my portal with the same issue. Called and advised of issue with proof and nothing wants to be done im okay paying my monthly fee but you now want to add a $125 lien fee when its your system error . All storages are not good storages. I choose this storage due to the location and that was absolutely a mistake. Not sure if they switched management or what but this new Management ***** trust I will never do business with this company again and will absolutely advise others STAY AWAY also letting my family know to find a other storage unit elsewhere.

      TERRIBLE PRICE GOUGING COMPANY. BUYER BEWARE, DON'T USE THIS PLACE! THEY ARE THE WORST. I HAVE GONE FROM $129/MONTH TO $315/MONTH. DO NOT USE THEM. YOUR INITIAL DISCOUNTS SOUND AMAZING...GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. THE ONE STAR...NO.IT'S NEGATIVE 100

      I dont know how this terrible company is allowed to operate the way that they do. They are criminals and just decided what to advertise and what to charge. if i could give you negative stars i would, They advertised a price, let you move all your stuff in it. then 4 months later increase it 70% and with no warning. And when questioned about it, they just say they are allowed to increase it base on market pricing. Oh and they still advertise the previous price on their website, but because i am already a customer i do not get that rate. ITs for New customers only, so they can continue the scam. Bad Business and terrible people.

      My stuff has been damaged by rat infestation! It is unsanitary to continue to use the property that is inside of the storage unit because when rats p*** they pee as well! The company has failed to do anything about it and are negligent in failing to provide notice that their storage units are riddled with huge rat traps and the possibility of rats being inside of the storage unit! They should have to pay for all of my property that is inside, cause I shouldnt have to worry about removing my stuff to another storage unit when it should have been pest free and clean!
