This business is sending out "pre-approval" letters for consolidation loans that are not really pre-approved. They are also not for consolidation loans. They are trying to enroll people in a debt relief program. This is not good if you can avoid it. Nowhere in the letter does it mention this. It only says a standard consolidation loan. Very misleading. Very disappointing. They run your credit, which lowers your credit score, for something you didn't even want. This is wrong. I didn't agree to a "relief" program. I agreed to look at consolidation. Apparently what they advertise (through a letter to your home) is not at all what they really offer.Liberty First Lending

I had the same experience, I received a mailer that offered 25K at 5.99% interest to pay off credit cards/debt. When I called, the rep took my information (including social security number) and then said he was transferring me to a loan rep. I waited for 15 minutes before a loan rep came on the line. She couldn't grasp what the letter said, she kept saying that the mailing was for a $2,500 promotion not 25K and the interest rate she quoted was 17%. When I asked her about the mailing I received she said that it wasn't her that mailed it out and she had no idea what it was. What a scam!!!!!!Do not contact these people, you'll be sorry.Liberty First Lending

I recieved a mailer stating that I was preapproved for a loan, with a really good apr. (Which sparked my interest) I was curious and the mailer simply stated I just needed to scan the ** code and the rate would be revealed. So, upon scanning the code it did ask for my contact info. OK, I see that, but after submitting the form it was an instant phone call. That's when I realized it was about collecting my information. I did respond to the text they sent asking to be removed from their call list and mailer. I figure if they were not honest with the information in the mailer, I am in trouble.Liberty First Lending

I had the same situation as ********************(04/15/2024). I spoke to a male who took my information for a soft credit check. He said he would get back to me in 30 min to 1 hour. No call. I called the next day, woman said I must have talked with "****" and she would have him call me. No call. Called later that same day and a woman said "****" was on another call and she would have him call me. No call. Next day I called several times. Asked to speak to a manager and was put in touch with "*****". "*****" could not any record of me and put me on hold to look further. We were disconnected. Called back. Woman said she was just an answering service and that "they" were closed. Called back, spoke to a man. He wanted my information. I refused by saying my information was lost in their system and I wished to speak to a manager. A woman by the name of ******* (*******************************) identified herself as a 'coach'. I repeated my request for a manager. She didnt know how long I would have to wait to speak to a manager and she would try to help me. All said and done, after 5 days of calling and frustration, **** finally called at about 8:15AM. I had to call back - **** said nothing about not calling me. When I brought it up he just said "sorry". I said that after his not calling when he said and the inability to reach him I would not do any business with his company. I have a lingering fear about the whereabouts of all the financial and personal information I provided to ****.Review fromZa E

I called this company on April 15th at 10:14 am EST at ************. Told the customer service rep that I received a letter, gave her the code and then she took my information to do a soft pull on my credit report. She confirmed information that she then had access to and then she said to me that she would share my information with the lenders to see what loan was best for me. She stated that her company was not a broker and someone who call me in the afternoon. I forgot her name but I called back that same afternoon and spoke with ******. This man was rude and questioned me to make sure I called the right number. It almost felt like an interrogation. He was not helpful and unprofessional he calls me from this number ************ to let me know that no one from my company spoke me and perhaps I contacted their sister company AmeriCorp. I became offended because I know the number I called, it is in the call history and I know what the representative said when she answered the call.****** said to me before he hung up on me that "he was only an employee, what do I want you to do"? I called him back and let a message about his rude behavior. If the calls are recorded, then a manager should reach out to me and hear how I was treated. This causes me to believe that this company is fraudulent and their business practices are extremely questionable.Liberty First Lending

Looking at our call log the only call we received from you is when you called back and spoke to *******. We never took an application from you. After further investigation your initial call was transferred to our sister company Americor because all of our reps were on other calls when your call came in and that is where your initial application was completed. That is why when you spoke to ******* he had no record of you in our system. I did listen to the recorded call and ******* was not rude. I could also hear your frustration in the call, which is understandable. That Americor rep should have given you her direct phone number and name to call her back. I have reached out to Americor and hopefully the original rep you talked to there gets back in touch with you ASAP.Review fromAmy D

Very misleading. I received a letter stating I am pre approved for a certain amount to consolidate some loans at a lower interest. It was a big mistake and waste of time. They had nothing I was willing to accept. So, in the end, I gave all my information and got nothing in return, other than a new worry that they have all of my information now.Liberty First Lending

This company offered a pre-approved personal loan and did not help me with my financial situation. Instead they offered a debt settlement with is a scam due to the fact they want you to stop paying on credit cards. I was denied the loan due to excessive amounts of credit card debt and average credit score. They need to advertise that an option available through their company is a debt relief settlement. I would never have contacted them if I had seen this in their pamphlet.Liberty First Lending

Hi *******, It's unfortunate you did not qualify for the debt consolidation loan based on your lower credit score. We help many people every week consolidate their debt at lower rates. If you were offered a debt resolution plan it is because because of your lower credit score. The debt resolution program is not a scam at all. It helps people who do not qualify for the loan reduce the debt they owe and will sav e them thousands in interest.
