On June 10, 2024 a sales *** from Home Energy Construction came to my home and provided my wife and I an estimate for Anlin ***lacement windows for our home. The *** explained the features and benefits of the windows and measured and inspected the type of windows we currently have throughout the home. She counted 25 windows and 2 sliding glass doors. The sales *** explained that she would provide a discount only tonight if we agreed to market our windows with a sign placed in front yard of $14,500 off the **** of $53,150 including senior discount and cash discounts. The *** wrote up a basic contract for the scope of work to be completed and asked for a $1,000 cash down payment and explained someone would come out and complete a detailed measurement of windows in a couple weeks. We were explained before windows are ordered we needed to pay a $11,300 progress payment for windows and installation would not occur until the end of October which we thought was a very long time. Someone from company came out sometime at the end of June to complete measurements but didn't provide me with a copy of the measurements or detail description of specifications including options for windows including screen materials. Example: are windows argon gas or krypton gas or both? Color? We requested a doggie door but don't know size or price of custom slider door? The person did let me know someone from the office would contact me for progress payment before ordering windows. After 2 months of no communication and after multiple attempts to contact company I decided to stop payment of my check for $1,000. I contacted Home Energy on 8/5/24 to inform them I wanted a status of windows and the person who answered the phone informed me the windows will be arriving the next day on 8/6? To my surprise because I never heard from anyone until I finally got a hold of someone. A person named **** from legal called and was unprofessional and rude. I want contract voided and my order canceled.
