buyer beware. they enroll you in membership with a monthly fee without notifying you. no email sent, no pop up or box that you check to confirm enrollment - they just start it if you buy stamps or print a label. You have to call after you realize you are being charged and jump through hoops to get the fees refunded.Review fromShannon K

I don't understand how this website hasn't been shut down as a scam. They manage to get people's debit/cc info (because they won't give you a quote without it) and immediately sign you up for a recurring monthly charge. They claim it's "clearly stated on the website", but take a quick look around the internet. BBB reviews, reddit boards, other review sites...pretty obvious there's some shady practices at work here. They got our business for about 6 months of charges before I realized no one in the office was buying the same amount of stamps on the same date every month and something else was going on. Their supposed "email confirmation" is basically designed to look like spam or junk mail so you'll ignore it, and they never send you another thing. And the amount they charge is *juuuuust* low enough that it may fly under the radar if you don't pay attention to your statement. Againperuse the other reviews, they're getting away with it. $19 a month from thousands of people who have no idea and are not using their "service" (eye roll) adds up pretty quickly. Shame on whoever is allowing this to continue. Probably the USPS.Stamps.com

Like many, many other disgruntled Stamps.com reviewers, I was unknowingly incurring monthly subscription fees for a service I never intended to purchase. There was no clear indication of a trial period elapsing, and I received no confirmation or alerts of the fees. After multiple empty promises from Stamps.com phone support staff for refunds (and charges continuing to build up), I found the online option for canceling the account. When I contacted phone support one more time to confirm the cancellation and request a refund, I was told a refund was impossible after I closed the account. Needless to say, I found this new wrinkle to be the last straw. The total service fees to my credit card amounted to $74.36. What an absolute scam! I can't emphasize my dissatisfaction enough. I am a careful consumer of online services, and after reading endless similar complaints I will be steering everyone within my sphere of influence away from Stamps.com. Stop sneaking things past your customers immediately!Stamps.com

I have had difficulty navigating the website. I have had to reregister several times because the site will not recognize my password ** username. I called, navigated the automatic voice, and finally spoke to a representative who assured me everything was under control. Then I checked my credit card website and found on July 6 four charges from Stamps.com for $1.00 and on July 5 a charge for $11.30. I will try to call today and speak to a "human", not a computer-generated representative, but I will have to wait until a time during the day when I can wait for 1/2 hour until the computer can rouse one.
Perhaps this will all be resolved and I will become a happy customer.

the customer service is amazing. I wish all of my local post office has same knowledge and friendly customer support. I know it is impossible. but I always drop my stamps.com labeled package drop to my local post office, so many people are waiting for usps services. they are wasting of time and money and receive horrible service without resolving problem. I have to listen yelling and wrong info by unfriendly window postoffice person. so i could complete 99% of the transaction by stamps.com. I wish it will be 100%, I really hate to go to postoffice to receive their wrong service when 1% was happened. I know I am using usps to ship it. but 99% of problem of mine, I only can use stamps.com to complete. I hated 1 % time I need to go to my local post office. even this is online, I could get quick and helpful support by phone. that is amazing. Usps customer support phone neve ever reach to help me out. i can reach the friendly customer support without waiting long line and receive yelling and unfriendly and wrong knowledge and wasting my time and money.Stamps.com

This company enrolled me into a service plan that was not explicitly stated to me. I set up an account for Stamps.com when I needed a backup option for ebay shipping, but never actually used their services. I have had Stamps.Com for years. I have always gotten ahold of a person who knew what they were doing, if not they turned me over to someone else. My account is for my own benefit. I am Secretary to a nonprofit organization and send out dues notices and cards using Stamps.com.
The most trouble I have is with printers that don't want to configure. Several times a representative I call from Stamps.com is able to help me. I also do the monthly bill paying and using Excel for record keeping for my brother and son's farm account. Most of the time it is so
easy to print off the envelopes needed with address in contacts. I am on the absolute basic charge plan and it fits my needs.
