DO NOT USE Clutter. They were difficult to communicate with and when my items were delivered after several months they had damaged several thousand dollars worth of my furniture and glassware. Additionally, there are boxes of my things still missing. The movers were embarrassed and it was truly the worst moving experience of my life.Review fromS. P.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I will make it my mission to leave this review on every website I can find to save anyone from experiencing what I have.This company is the absolute worst. I sent everything in my apartment to storage. We requested everything back and to close the account. They kept one of my boxes. I fought with them for 2 months to get it back. There is zero customer service so don't expect to talk to an actual person. We were missing some items, so we assumed they were in the last box. When we finally got the last box back we realized we were still missing a box with some artwork and a record player and a few other valuable items. I know what I sent because I had to take everything out of the apartment for a tenant that was moving in.I paid extra for the insurance. I filed the claim. They flat out denied it and that was it.I have now been emailing back and forth for weeks now. They asked me what the box looked like. I said it was a brown box that looked like the other 24 I sent in.Then they came back and said they searched their warehouse and didn't see a brown box.WHAT?? Surely we are not the only ones who packed everything in brown boxes.They asked me for a picture. So I screenshotted one of my brown boxes straight from their website.I sent it in and they said they had no record of it. I was like really? Because it is literally on your website. Then they said oh yeah upon further review we do have that. So I caught them in a lie and they knew it.I am absolutely ********** NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR STUFF.I promise you that you will be sorry.Horrible. Literally the worst service in my life.Clutter

It was not assessed. It was turned down right after it was submitted. The items were in a brown box that was not labeled. I was told they searched the warehouse for my items but couldnt find them, which would mean that they wouldve had to open every brown unlabeled box in their facility.There was zero effort given to finding my items.This has gone on for two months.If you search reviews for this company you will find hundreds of reviews like mine. Items lost or broken in every case. We used brown boxes purchased from ********** with no markings on them, which probably looked like 90% of the items stored in this *********** not trust this company! Find a local storage place and transport your own items so you will not lose anything.Its heartbreaking because there were one of a kind items that just cant be replaced.This company could care less about your stuff.I have put my review up everywhere I can find so I can hopefully save at least one person the heartache and frustration of trusting someone with your belongings and having them lost or broken only to find out that even with paying for the extra cost of insurance, they will immediately deny your ******** your research. If you look for reviews of this company you will find so many of the same as mine. Not to mention the fact that it took two months of unanswered phone calls and emails to get the one last box they did not deliver and said they had. It was next to impossible to even find a phone number to talk to a live person.And Clutter, I will continue to post my reviews everywhere I find in hopes that you will lose trust from the customers that you failed and will continue to fail.They will take your money and do not give a c*** whether your possessions come back safe and sound. Predatory services & the worst customer service I have ever experienced. First off - good luck getting a hold of someone aside from booking the service. You will ask for a call back but they will email you instead.During pickup I paid extra for a specific pickup time as the apartment in the city only gives you 1 hour window to move your stuff out - they were an hour late and only sent two people which caused delays an issues with my building. Paid for additional insurance on my stuff in case anything gets broken but they claim their policy doesn't cover items that are packed by customer, which I was not informed about. All of my items were carefully packed using packing paper and bubble wrap, boxes clearly labeled FRAGILE yet several items inside got damaged. After filing a claim several times and complaining they FINALLY told me they would reconsider refund for damages if I can prove things weren't damaged before they were placed in the boxes... calling me a liar saying I could be taking advantage of them, like I could somehow package glasses that were absolutely ************ addition seems their policies change quite frequently. I stored my items for about 4 months and when first ordered was told everything would be put together the same way it was before they took it apart, but when my items arrived the guys said they don't put items together, that it costs extra. The company is just a bunch of scam artists.Clutter

I agree with what everyone is saying here. Clutter is all about nickel and diming you. They represent that they will charge you one rate, and then up it at the last minute and force you to sign inaccurate documents to get your stuff or get anything done. This place is terrible and needs to be investigated.Clutter

Im on the phone with them now for the last 30 minutes. They are a complete scam. They texted me at 4 am telling me they are coming to see me. I never received any confirmation and then they told me canceled appointments are a 100 dollar charge.Clutter

This company lacks integrity, accountability, and professionalism. Despite having initial quote and documentation for this quote, Clutter overcharged me. Along with this, Clutter hits customers with hidden fees that are not transparent until customer is charged. During move, I had numerous items/furniture that were damaged as well as damage to my property by movers. Also, Clutter did not provide movers with proper tools to support move, which added to time to the move as well as led to improper assembly of furniture (very frustrating). With damages, inadequate scheduling, and being overcharged, Clutter has provided no fair resolution and customer service **** are HORRIBLE, lack communication, and customer service skills.Review fromLucas T

This Clutter company is a scam and consistently taking money from all their customers in anyway. When I signed up with this storage company. Its only $52/month and 3 months free. I choose this because It said its free pickup and delivery any time when we needed to any location. Because I think this provide very good value and flexibility and I need to leave the country for couple years for my job, so I use it. Years after years, without changing my plan and their service is the same. They increase the price every year and now its $78 without our agree and braking our contract. But also if we need to take out our stuff from the storage, I need to pay couple hundreds. With they already have my stuff on their hand, i have no choice to keep paying since I am out of the country but i dont want to pay hundreds to get my things out. Leave this company and I encourage everyone goes to class *** this scamClutter

Delayed delivery of my items several times then cancelled one hour before arrival. Awful customer service and poor communication. The company still doesnt understand the gravity of the situation: I had to take off a full day of work to receive my items because Clutter told me to be available 9am-5pm and then they cancel and reschedule delivery without even asking me if the new day/time works. They also poorly convey pricing and have hidden fees. Run from this company!Clutter

This company is a scam. Their website is also deceptive. I booked them for pickup and storage. They were to show up with 2 trucks and 4 laborers. They showed up with 1 truck and 3 laborers and just told me it would have to take extra days. When I questioned why the laborers and trucks would not be as promised on my receipt, they got mad and cancelled the move. Then charged me $200 anyway as a cancellation fee even though I said to go ahead and do it anyway. They blamed it on me having a bad attitude for not just accepting that I wasn't getting what I promised after having blocked out time to meet them there.Clutter

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! READ THE BAD REVIEWS AND TRUST THEM ALL!! If I could give a zero I would. under NO circumstances use this company.I will write a more detailed review after litigation. One main point: Everything they do is to pad the bill and ZERO accountability for their incompetence. The movers that showed up r the only honest part of that organization. READ BAD reviews and trust 100% that they are true and ignore all of the company's rebuttals, Those rebuttals are geared to mislead. Trust the complaints. They were called MakeSpace before and now called Clutter. Try getting your items back after they do not complete their end of the contract, ha! Good luck!. High lost and damage rates, LOOK closely at the fine print r/t fees and cost getting items back. The company is a get rich scam, nothing more than to feed into pockets. ROTTEN to the core customer service and resolution. They outsource calls to them to *****..lol, what a joke that experience is. TRUST the bad reports. They lie before and during, litigation will determine the after for myself. I have all the evidence {including an unrelated outside third party who witnessed the horrendous way they responded to my move) I need. Clutter acquired MakeSpace in 2022. Before the acquisition, Clutter and MakeSpace were separate entities.Clutter does its best to be transparent about pricing. All pricing is communicated through the website, clutter.com, during booking. Pricing is also available in the Account Portal after booking.
Your initial pickup was booked as less than half of the total cubic items that you actually needed serviced. While we were able to get an emergency follow-up appointment to accommodate your actual storage needs, you turned away our team midway through the follow-up appointment. Consequently, our team was forced to leave some of your items behind.While we are disheartened to learn that this was an overall negative experience, we are pleased to see that our US-based Trust and Safety team provided compensation through our claims process.You remain in contact with the Trust and Safety team, who are happy to answer any questions you may have.
