Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with an online company. I purchased an item in August and they shipped me the wrong finish. Thus I requested a return and they approved the return and had me take it to the *** Store. It gets returned to their facility on 9/11 and then I have to fight with customer service 3 times from 9/22 onward because the return was never processed and they don't know why, nor is there any apology for the errors. Now they are fighting with me that the credit was put back on my AmEx card, when it wasn't, and AmEx is saying there is nothign submitted. So Build.com keeps telling me it's AmEx's fault and all I get is the runaround. So even though I've got all the documentation saying they've returned it, no credit. Now I'm having to dispute the charge with AmEx and waste that company's time because build.com's system is screwed up. They keep saying they did everything on their part and I'm stuck in limbo, and this isn't like it's overnight or a few days - this return was due 2+ weeks ago. I'd highly suggest you take your business elsewhere!Build.com

Taking a look at the order, the refund was issued on 9/27 in the amount of $620.07 and should appear in the account on the order within 7 business days of that date. I made a purchase from build.com and immediately realized it was the wrong item. Called them directly and was told that they had canceled the item. However, in the case that the package does arrive, I would be able to return it. The item shipped even though they didn't lift a finger to process the order for 24 hours after I had canceled it. So I tried to set up a return and was unable to. I contacted them again and they informed me that the item was not returnable because of their return policy which says it is a flooring item. To avoid returns they just mark any items flooring so you can't return it. Nowhere is the item a flooring item. It is indicated on build.com's website that it is "trim" and indicated on the info from the company posted on the item that it is for a wall. It seems to me that this business does everything it can to keep your money once they receive it. Their customer service is terrible and unresponsive. My only recourse was to complain here. So that is what I chose to do.Build.com

We ordered all of our appliances from Build.com while we were building a new home. Our appliances came before our home was finished so we had to store them in our garage. One of the items was an Electrolux 30" gas range that cost $4238 with tax. We opened the shipping box and inspected the front and top but left the sides protected since it had to stay in the garage. Two months later when we were ready to install them, we found the stove was damaged beyond repair but it was hidden damage. The shipping box was not damaged, telling me the stove was placed in the box in that condition. Build.com refused to stand behind the damage. We had to buy a new stove from another company. We filed a claim in MO with a small claims court and were awarded a judgment against them. That was July 5th. So far (9/27/23) they have not paid this judgment. We have hired an attorney but they are ignoring them also. We spent over $20,000 with this company and regret it. They need to pay what they owe.Review fromLaura H

I ordered tile from Build.com on June 23rd, and they said it would be delivered on 2 different days, and it wasn't. On the third delivery date they shared, the driver showed up, called me and said he couldn't deliver it. I asked him to talk to my General Contractor so he could work out an alternate delivery plan (take it himself). He ended up getting angry with my contractor, and the shipment is lost. I can't get anyone at Build.com to answer my questions. They don't answer the phone, and they give me vague answers via email. They have now dropped me on chat after I tried to ask for help. NEVER USE THEM! I called the delivery service they sub-contract out to for help, and they said they hate working with Build.com because they aren't responsive.Build.com

Only received partial order. Order #******** was for outdoor lamp post light and wall sconce. . I only received the lamp post light. The wall sconce was never delivered. I tried calling customer service several times but there is an extraordinary long wait hold time. I sent several emails also which I never received a response.Build.com

I have been trying to return a double order ($2000. Ferguson mistake) for months and months. I sent the return back June 25, and it was received by June 28. Still no refund.Now, after sending an EP email to a handler Im told that the fans are on their way back to me. I do not know how yall are staying in business with this kind of service.I have spent thousands of dollars with your company, literally thousands, and I cannot believe how this particular order has been such an incredible mess.Please help me because now its past the time for me to allow **** to handle it for me.Boo And no one answers the phone before being on fold for 30 minutes. This company is border line fraudulent. I ordered a refrigerator on line and the sales associate assured me that it would arrive within 5 days. I told them if it doesn't I do not want it because I would not be there to receive it. After three days I still did not have a shipping date so I cancelled the order. A month later, and after several text and emails of them telling me my refund is imminent and I still do not have a refund. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. You also cannot get these people on the phone for support expect over 30 minutes of wait time. My advice -- steer clear of this company.Build.com

I searched for a specific Frigidaire microwave. I searched online and the results showed Build.com had many units in stock. I went online and placed my order on 2/22/23. A couple days later I received an email stating the appliance would be delivered in JUNE. I called on the 27th to cancel the order. Their system tells you that items process quickly and cancellations take time. I called and spoke to a person that told me the cancellation was "submitted". 3 months later I receive a notice that the item was being shipped. I got online, chatted with ******. She was very nice in chat and told me she'd take care of me. SHE DIDN'T. The next day I received a notice from the shipping carrier telling me the item was in process. ****** told me she'd try to intercept the microwave but she did nothing. I called the shipper myself and told them I'm refusing shipment and to take it back. I contacted Build.Com again, spoke with ******. She said a cancellation had not been processed. They've had my money for 3 months. She assured me I'd get a refund once the appliance was returned to the shipping facility, which was Frigidaire. Not a big surprise that their rating is 1.25 out of 5 stars. Not even sure where to turn if they don't give me my money.Build.com

ordered a fridge on april 16...order receipt says "ships from warehouse in 3-6 days"...don't hear from them for weeks, try contacting them by phone, chat, email many many times. weeks later i get an email that says my order is now preparing to ship. at this point i try to cancel and the website says i have to call to cancel because it's already processing. The first time I was on hold for 35 minutes and had to hang up. 3 days later I got a response to my email: "sorry that item is on backorder from the manufacturer. the new delivery date is april 28th" i decide to wait and see what happens because this is just ridiculous. of course that date passes and i keep logging on to the website to see it changing to later and later dates. then i get a notification that it has shipped and i begin to think the nightmare is over, but that isn't actually what it means. it means the company is shifting responsibility to the freight company. the freight company **** did ok, despite build.com giving the wrong tracking information. i tried to get them to actually help me but the guy in customer service passed the buck back to me. then **** dropped it off at some partner and build.com considered it delivered! NOT to me! Then the **** partner and their horrible customer service made it all even worse. i never got the fridge. the company Straight Freight were evasive and rude. i disputed the charge because I found the fridge for way less at a local LOWES.Review fromwarren k

ordered a 48 inch monogram refrigerator in april 2022 - delivered in nov 2022 with major dents and damage and was sent back - I was told I had to go to "the back of the line " even though it was not my fault the product came damaged and waited another 6 months until today 3/23/23 and once again the refrigerator came with major damage to the exterior and was sent back - *********************** in the ** office stopped responding to our calls and offered no help - I just asked for a full refund and will never recommend this company to anyone as their customer service and product quality control is poor and unprofessional - If I cant get any help from the office of the ** then that speaks volumes for their attention and loyalty to any single customer
