************** in ******* Don't work with this company! I signed up for an annual service agreement with GoDaddy. From the onset, the service was inadequate and impossibly frustrating. Their method of filtering the service through a system of filing service tickets that are then attended to by an anonymous service person is unworkable. When I canceled the agreement (after 2 weeks of frustration) I was informed that GoDaddy would be keeping my money and not returning it to my credit card. They offered me an 11 month credit that would be "in house". Meaning I'm out $1,000 in my limited operating expenses. Apparently that phrase is hidden in the service agreement. This type of deceptive and practice and behavior by a multimillion dollar company should be investigated and prosecuted.

GoDaddy renewed a yearly subscription for 2021, 2022, and ****************************************************************************** 2020. We tried deleting our subscription online and then called when the subscription wouldnt be canceled or deleted. We were told by one of the phone reps that it would be canceled from that point on, but it wasnt. Over 450 dollars were taken, but GoDaddy refused to pay back those years. The rep said all she could do was refund the purchase in 2023 but because there was no notes of us calling in 2020, she couldnt do more. I cant understand how their website to manage subscriptions couldnt cancel or delete her account online and the phone rep had no answers for me. Do not use GoDaddy.

Following an entire year of hard work, I went to turn in a large literary project, only to realize that my domain name had been stolen from within Godaddy by another customer who's email is linked to a scam website. I've spoken with three customer service agents who can do nothing but try to cheer me up, and then refer me to the mysterious "Account Recovery Team," which I'm beginning to doubt even exists. (General customer service is lovely by the way, but absolutely powerless)Three weeks into this fight, my marketing plan is trashed and my work samples are gone. My project is also late at this point. Of course, I've been encouraged to "hire a broker" from, you guessed it - Godaddy themselves - to try and purchase my OWN DOMAIN back for a low price of $69.99 plus 20% commission, in addition to the purchase price they "negotiate." But that'll be one, cold day...The final kick in the teeth is the fact that the domain is still "parked" at Godaddy, but the "account recovery team" does nothing but send the same form response email to me EVERY TIME I give them additional documentation. NO human contact. NO explanation. Upon further investigation, I see that this has happened to NUMEROUS other ******************************* is happy to help when domains are transferred out, but not when they're directly benefiting financially. BEWARE: Godaddy supports online mob behavior, they're doing their part to put small businesses out of business, and I'll never buy from them again.

Your response could not be more insulting. Im LIVID. Who in their right mind sits around pretending to have created a GoDaddy account for their business, creates a story of it being stolen, and then spends their precious time to post at the BBB? Youve stolen enough of my time already! Clearly your responding representative has either no access to the appropriate records (aka is a social media manager, not an account recovery person), or they clearly dont grasp the idea of what hijacked means. Of course my account details arent listed for youthe account information was altered from within!!! I cant believe Im having to type these actual words here. Ive already had to provide a stack of records and it returned null. I dont except the online clean up rep to change the matter, but consumers need to know the truth. My review stands and your response doesnt appease anyone.

Marketing team is the worst. You ask them to do something and they ignore you. Not worth it, find someone else, anyone else. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I work for a company based in ******. Years ago they hired a digital marketing agency based in ****** to build out the company's Gmail account and website. Beginning of January, they hacked into my boss's email and Go Daddy account and fraudulently transferred away the company's domain to themselves, ** address at the time of transfer points to ****************, ******. They've been using our intellectual property as a hostage in exchange for an inflated amount. I've provided Go Daddy with all legally binding documents showing where ownership of the website truly lies. Including screenshots of the "transfer away email" sent to my boss regarding her account. All company employees are based in the ***, the fraudulent act took place in ******, and I thought the ** address would be evidence enough. I've submitted a transfer away dispute form, called customer support multiple times, and had 3 separate chats through their customer service line. The dispute form told me to call, I called and customer service told me to chat with an agent via an online portal, I chatted with 3 separate agents and they told me conflicting information. For example, 2 of the customer service agents confirmed the domain would be back in our account within ******************************** the transfer could not be completed and to email customer support. The email I sent was **************************** blocked because I am reaching out on behalf of my older boss, and my email was not the registered email on file. All in all, I am not one to go out of my way to leave a 1-star review. Not only has this been a frustrating experience for a seemingly easy fix, but this has cost our company thousands of dollars over the past 3 months. Unfortunately, this seems like the only way we can receive help from Go Daddy for the resolution of this case.

I have not used their services in 8 years. I was not on auto renew for anything and according to their site I have no card on file yet they charged me today without my authorization. I dont see how this is possible or even legal.

Too bad you can't give 0 stars.Beware using this service. It's obvious they're feeling the pressure of the cloud era as they will straight up not allow me to delete my account. I've been trying for weeks to no avail. It keeps telling me I have products and services so I can't delete my account, yet I do not. Nothing. I do not have their services, I do not want their services, no.The customer care rep has done nothing but have me try the same things over and over. I've waited hours to get to support some days and then nothing cause I lose connection. You can't even send these people an email anymore. They force you into the worst customer care experience you could imagine so that you will give up. Then you have to sit there at your computer for hours on end while they accomplish nothing. To top it off, the first time I tried to delete my account, GoDaddy added a subscription to my account that I neither asked for nor wanted. I deleted it immediately, but they have a policy that you can't delete your account til 24 hours after you delete your products. Nice try. This should be illegal. I hope GoDaddy goes down in flames. That was weeks ago. Still can't delete my account and getting nowhere. This is pathetic. I will pursue all avenues to get my account closed, including finding others this is happening to (no doubt I am alone here) and contact my local TV station where a friend of mine is the director. Your move GoDaddy.

My email has been down for 6 weeks since they botched an Office 365 migration. Still doesn't work correctly after dozens of calls taking dozens of hours. Please be stupid enough to have a smart a** quip on how it's so easy to work with you jerks when your phone lines have been down for 2 days. Even your voice-mail response is ridiculous saying you are doing your best to resolve the telecom problem, but you sure can waste my time for 2 days on texts. YOU ARE WORTHLESS

I cancelled my service months ago, took down my payment information, & still had this company charge me through PayPal for an email service I no longer use. This feels like a bit of underhanded highway robbery.
