12/20/22 I purchased domain name UniqueLAffilate.com from NameCheap.com, using my debit card 12/30/22 As registered agent of the **** I purchased domain name BaruchCreations.com, using the same debit card, order ID *********, for two years. Five minutes later, I was emailed that BaruchCreations.com "require verification within 01/14/2023" and that it would be "suspended" if "no action is taken" in "the time bracket".1/9/23 NameCheap emailed me that BaruchCreations.com domain registration was cancelled and refunded back to my card, Ticket ID ************* ("status: awaiting client response") at 6:29pm - after business hours which are currently EST. No reason was given.1/10/23 GoDaddy registered my BaruchCreations.com domain name, by private registration and only for one year - like it was done by a domain investor/domainer/domain name speculator. It's incredibly coincidental that the domain was cancelled for no reason by NameCheap on day and purchased by/through GoDaddy the very next day. According to Websitebuilderinsider.com/is-namecheap-part-of-godaddy, GoDaddy purchased NameCheap in 2017 for $2.6B.1/11/23 My attempt to verify the domain name with NameCheap was unsuccessful.Initial Complaint

In Nov I purchased a domain through the website. Unbeknownst to me the site set my credit card up on auto renew for services. I do not want the domain and do not want to renew any services with namecheap.I want a full refund for $41.88 that was changed to my credit card. I attempted to ask for a refund from your customer service team but they replied with a whole bunch of information I already knew and did not return my money.I am making this complaint and I will be spending some time making bad reviews about my interaction with you over $41.88 that I asked to have refunded. Because you did not refund my money and went back and forth about my refund I will take some time out to make other customers aware how scammy this company is.Initial Complaint

The resolution I seek is for NameCheap to close my account. I opened an account with NameCheap on Sept 20 2022 for the purpose of registering a domain name. I paid $4.16 for this service. Unbeknownst to me, NameCheap released the domain, refunded my payment and locked my account the following day. I discovered this only yesterday 12/29/22. I no longer have a need for NameCheap's services, there are no outstanding payments or obligations and I simply want to close my account. NameCheap will not allow me to do this without providing increasingly intrusive levels of personal information.Initial Complaint

They sent me a notice for a domain renewal. I followed the link the money was applied to a new domain. Not once but twice to to different domains name. When ask to apply it to the correct domain I was told it was too late and if I wanted my domain I would have to buy it and sell the two new domains myself. Plus they auto withdrew my domain again the next month.Initial Complaint

Namecheap.com hosts several domains that are SPAM/Phishing mechanisms for illicit activities. I have filed a complaint with namecheap.com. I personally receive over 2 dozen SPAM messages from domains hosted by namecheap on a daily basis. They are supporting and enabling these illicit activities and it needs to stop.Initial Complaint

Good Afternoon,I opened an account with Name Cheap, and they wanted a picture of the credit card I used. I think that is a red flag since they already charged the card and asked for my date of birth and last 4 social. They stated problems with people stealing site form others. It sounds like a hot mess and I just want my $15.75 and we can call it a day. I have emailed them and my bank regarding this issue. My account is frozen unless they see my credit card. That is some crazy bullshit!!!!Thank you,*****************************************Initial Complaint

I paid to upgrade my server resources for my ****** website. I upgraded from name cheaps basic package, to their most advanced and most expensive package the "supersonic" package. It is supposed to have twice the server cpu speed and ram amount. However, upon upgrading my account, I have found that they have accepted my money, but have no changes to the amount of resources I have access to. My WP is still reporting the same amount of ram as before, just 128 mbs. I should now be at 256 MB. So the company has accepted my subscription money, and has falsely labeled my account as "supersonic" but without giving me access to the resources advertised. I have reached out to the company multiple times since doing the upgrade, asking for help getting access to the resources I have paid for; so far I have received absolutely no response from the company on the matter (accept for an email confirming they got my support request).I believe this to be a fraudulent scam.I believe this company is scamming people out of upgrade money. Accepting the money, changing some labels on their account, but not actually providing the paid for upgrade for the account.I demand that NameCheap either uphold their end of the bargain and give me access to the additional resources I paid for; Or I demand that they instantly refund me for the fraudulent charge and discontinue using this fraudulent business method going forward.Initial Complaint

On 11/3/2022, we purchased both a domain name and a dedicated server from Namecheap. Shortly thereafter, we began receiving threats of disconnection from Namecheap Support due to the fact that the domain name we were sold had been listed on Spamhaus and ****.We scanned the server with every imaginable tool and checked all of the traffic and mail logs and the server is 100% clean. Additionally, we requested that ******** and **** remove this inaccurate information from their database on at least 10 separate occasions. They unequivocally refuse to do so as in it's past life, prior to us purchasing this domain name, it was apparently blacklisted. As Namecheap support has continued to threaten disconnection every several hours, we even went so far as to deposit funds into our Namecheap support account and request that their techs scan the server, which they did, and found the machine to be 100% clean. At this point, we were told that if this domain is not removed from Spamhaus within 6 hours, our service will be disconnected. We run a large legitimate business and have never a day in our lives sent out any Spam whatsoever. This threat is beyond serious and will cause our business irreparable harm for something we have not done.I have tried again and again and again through hundreds of emails to explain this situation to Namecheap support and am getting nowhere.
