- Additional Info:Incorporated and founded in 1973 as The Huntsville Rehabilitation Foundation, Inc., the organization was later re-branded with the dba name of Phoenix. Phoenix is a 501c3 non profit. Phoenix is owned and governed by a volunteer board of directors, comprised of several local business leaders, professionals and civic leaders, who donate their time in order to provide oversight and guidance of Phoenix's mission. The mission of Phoenix is to assist people, primarily those with disabilities, to improve the quality of their lives. The vision of Phoenix is a community free of employment and social barriers for people with disabilities. Huntsville Rehabilitation Foundationn's board meets at least 6 times annually. Huntsville Rehabilitation Foundation does not solicit donations in any manner from the public. The charity also receives income from facility rental and government grants and contracts. Huntsville Rehabilitation Foundation does no solicitations via mail or phone. They do not employ any outside fund raising firms.

- Phoenix has three divisions under the Phoenix brand: Manufacturing, Government Services and Vocational Services, providing services and jobs to people with disabilities in twelve counties in Alabama and six states across the country. Phoenix provides services to over 1,200 people annually and employs nearly 700 people with annual wages and benefits totaling over $25 million. While providing these services and jobs, Phoenix provides a variety of products and services to the federal government, with the ability to provide similar offerings to individuals and commercial customers.
Phoenix's main offices are located at 2939 Johnson Road in a 50,000 square foot facility, originally built in 1986 and having undergone a complete, modernized renovation in 2016. Phoenix partners with the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services (ADRS), the Huntsville / Madison County United Way and the AbilityOne Program to provide comprehensive and continuous programs to assist people with disabilities enter, remain and return to the work environment. Programs within Phoenix are accredited by CARF International.
