    If I could leave 5 stars for the worst service provider Alaska Communications would receive it. Where we are located we had *************** with ACS, which is your landline plugged into an antenna so you can receive phone calls. When the 10 digit dialing took affect November, 2021 our service started to deteriorate. I had to use my ATT phone card to call any number. Then on March 27, 2022 I lost the ability to receive calls. I had people calling my landline phone and getting a busy signal 24/7. It would have been nice in September, 2021 if ACS would have let us know that we might be affected. I don't think ACS thought of the people with telular service because the other part of town isn't affected because their landlines are hardwired. I have spent 5 months, hours on hold, emails, and written letters wasted on ****** contacted ACS, FCC, the ***************** and city hall. I thought I would try the BBB this time. I guess what is the most frustrating about this whole debacle is how our service deteriorated and we really couldn't figure out what was happening. I disconnected on May 20th, because I was tired of paying for a service I wasn't getting, but they kept billing me saying I still had service with them. On August 12, I finally got a letter saying that I was going to collections. I finally paid $49.70 for the month of May, but as far as I am concerned I should be refunded from November of 20all. There is no other service provider we can get because ACS is the assigned this location. Here is my final rant against ****** really don't think they should be getting government grant ***** because of the way they have handled this problem or lack there of, and not helping at all.

    Alaska Communications will not cancel my service after confirming cancellation with me via email. I cancelled service on June 20th and received a **** showing that I still have full internet service on my account and am being billed accordingly. I have called their customer service team and have sat on the phone with two separate customer service representatives since receiving this ****. I have also sent two emails to their customer service team trying to get answers. There customer service phone lines are closed over the weekend, so this all has to be handled during the work week M-F. It has been five days since my last chat with a representative on their team. During that call on Monday, I was told the error would be corrected in 24 hours. Today is Friday, I still haven't received any notifications or corrections to my account. I called again today and spent more time with another customer representative who is handling the situation the same exact way the first representative did, by sending an email to the people who are in charge of cancelling home internet service. I have emails proof that I cancelled my account on June 20th and received confirmation from their team via email that the request has been acknowledged and my service discontinued. Today is August 12th and I am still being charged for my home internet service. I have asked to speak with a supervisor, and was told one might call me back by the end of the business day today. If this doesn't get corrected then Alaska Communication Services is committing fraud! Not a company I would ever support! I wish I had read all of the reviews online before committing to their service. Avoid if you can!
