The Third Strike with Alaska Communications: A Complete Disaster in **************** If you're considering **********************, read this first and think twice before wasting your time.Every time our FiWi goes out, the experience with tech support is the worst. The fastest response? Seven business daysjust to get a callback, which results in the classic restart your router advice. The real issue is always the dish being slightly out of alignmenta problem that takes minutes to fix, but weeks to schedule.Six months ago, I posted on their ******** page after my internet went out. They sent a tech in under an hour! Its sad that the only way they care is if you hit them where it hurtstheir public image. But this time, its even *********'ll hear excuses like, "Were understaffed," or "We cant get to a tech right now." It's pathetic.Heres the kicker: ACS doesnt work weekends. If your internet goes down on Friday, youre out of luck until ********* using my **** hotspot because my internet has been down for 7 days with zero contact from ****The tech admitted he couldnt reach anyone! Their system is broken, and they expect me to fix it? If I ran my business like ***, I wouldnt last a week.Alaskans deserve better. Farewell, ******** earned it.

I have been without internet connection for almost two months with ACS a service that I am paying for. I have emailed my concern to *** several times with no response except for the auto generated response. I have been calling weekly to get an update on the status of getting the internet working . However, I get circled around to the text messaging my issue with no response but that someone will get ahold of me. I have gone down to the local office twice and got the runaround each time. No manager would come out to talk to me. In fact I was told that getting my internet reconnected would take a long time. When I asked the receptionist what she meant by that, she just shrugged her shoulders. She told me that she would credit my account which has not happened yet. I have received two text messages regarding the "ticket update" and that they continue to work on identify the issue. The text message is just an automated text no real person to talk too. I am really disappointed with the business practice with this company. The lack of customer service is beyond terrible and very unprofessional.

Like many of the reviews below the worst customer (lack) of support, ever. Numerous numbers that lead to the same ineffective on-line service that you do not get a resolution from. I've been without internet and a phone line now for 6 days. The customer support number was the cancel service line and there I got a human but still no support or resolution. What a joke for a company!!! Extremely, frustrated and disappointed by what once was a good, solid company before being sold and going down the tube. Will be changing companies once I get this situation resolved hopefully next week. I know people that know the President and maybe he can do something to resolve this matter. They definitely do not care on resolving problems for their customers.Don't waste your time with this company, it's lost its Alaskan way of getting things done and why it's still around is a puzzling question for me. **************

Have a business account with ACS. Worst customer service ever. Our email account was hacked. Spent 3 hours on the phone just trying to get a body to answer. When someone did finally answer they said hello twice and hung up. Finally got through to a body in residential who submitted a ticket to business. I was told it would take two days for someone to get back to me. Meanwhile whomever hacked the account was busy locking us out of all our other vendor accounts. Identity theft matters none to ACS. They are useless when help is really needed. I'm aware with their already D- rating I probably wasted my time posting this. Good luck if you are using them for services.

I cancelled my landline with ACS in February 2023. Out of the blue, on August 1, 2023 my credit card was charged by ACS for $471.68. I had to spend time getting in contact with ACS and determining what was going on. After some time, ACS said it was an erroneous charge. I asked why they felt they could use my credit card when I no longer had an account with them. They said when I cancelled my service, I left my credit card on file so they had a right to use it! No one at ACS asked me if I wanted my credit card to remain on file when I cancelled my service. I asked for ACS to refund the money to my credit card. They said they did not issue refunds via credit card, only check. It took two months to receive the check from ACS. Essentially they borrowed my money interest free. Watch out!

By far the worst customer service. Been without internet for almost two weeks now and keep getting the run around saying someone will be out, but no one comes. No communication from anyone and it's in their company name. They're a joke.

Dont use this company. Cancelled service and ACS kept auto charging credit card for months despite repeated phone calls and emails. Promised refund, well checks been on the way for weeks but never arrives. Call customer customer service about check that never arrived to find out check will be sent in a couple of weeks. Round and round and round, seems like they just want the customer to give up. What a rip off, supposed refund doesnt even cover the fraudulent ACS charges to credit card. Top it off, they closed all Fairbanks offices which forces the customer into this ongoing phone call & email gaggle that goes nowhere. I wish them all the same Horrible non-service the next time they have an issue with a company. Would give a 0 rating if possible.
