Found a pool of water in the basement and had *** come and investigate. He claimed it was a leaking handset from the master bathtub above. (that hadn't been used in months). Told him that I had this same type of leak 5-6 years previously in a hairline crack in a pipe that was fixed and leak stopped. He said he was sure it was the handset and I believed him. He broke through tile and plywood on the tub base and capped the lines. Charged $450 to do so. The next morning there was the very same pool of water in the basement..... and more. Had someone else in who fixed a small crack in the pipe that I first suggested and have had no leaks since. I now have paid $450 for a 'repair' that was not needed and am left with a reparation mess. Spoke to a manger in the company who basically said too bad, that I didn't really understand how water worked and that the handset probably caused it. The conversation was insulting and there was no offer of any type of resolution other than half price off installing a new handset. Very upsetting. Please beware if you use this company

Hi *****,I'm sorry that you feel insulted by our conversation. I understand that you're upset, but this is not an accurate description of the situation. You called a plumbing company to investigate a leak. There's a charge for that.Additionally, the plumber found a leak, showed it to you, and you authorized him to repair it. There's a charge for that, too. We have a recording of the phone conversation where you admitted that this sprayer had leaked for some time. The bathtub in question was directly above the pool of water in the basement. There was no trail of water or other indication that the water had come from elsewhere. The plumber suggested capping the lines and replacing the faucet. This is the standard move. When we spoke on the phone, I tried to explain that if a sprayer is leaking, when the sprayer is inserted into the holder then the water will follow the hose and leak under the bathtub. From there, it can leak below into the basement. I wasn't trying to be insulting. I was trying to help you understand why fixing this leak was the logical move. The plumber's solution made sense with the available information. And, it still makes sense now.I believe what you thought was insulting was when I tried to explain how a leak investigation and repair work. Leaks are one of the most difficult problems for a plumber to fix. You have to deduce from the available information where the water is likely leaking from. And, there can be multiple leaks, which there were in this case. In your situation, the plumber found a leaking plumbing fixture and offered a solution to fix it. The fact that water continued to pool in the basement doesn't mean that you didn't have a leak in your sprayer. It meant that you had two leaks. And, what you said about my offer is either a misunderstanding or a lie. I offered half the money back that you already paid for the service we had done AND for a plumber to install your new faucet for free once you purchase it. I don't even remember if I was able to completely say my offer before you took back the conversation. This being said, among other things, you expected me to send a plumber to reconnect your leaking faucet. I'm never going to reinstate a leak. That's a huge liability for your home and the plumbing company that does reinstates it. Contrary to what you may think, I care about my customers homes and I don't want to have any part of risking unnecessary damage. I understand you may find this ironic, but I'm very sincere.Additionally, when I learned you were dissatisfied with the service, I told my plumber to call you and explain the water leak - I thought explaining the leak repair process would help you understand the situation and I thought this would satisfy you. Without my knowledge, he made you an incredible offer to please you. To my surprise, you declined it. The plumber in question hates when customers are unhappy (as do I) even when he's not wrong. He desperately tried to help you, absolutely going above and beyond, and you declined his offer and wanted to speak to someone else. When I called you, I wasn't interested in beating or even meeting his offer that you previously declined. My plumber found a leak and fixed it. This is how leak investigations work. If more water presents itself later, the plumber then resumes the leak investigation. Imagine if he found a leak, fixed it, then told you he's going to continue investigating at your expense. If he didn't find a leak, you'd call him a *****.Your air conditioner wasn't leaking when my plumber showed up. The pool of water didn't have a trail of water leading to it from the drain line. But, the bathtub sprayer did leak when my plumber investigated. He showed it to you. You confirmed that you knew the sprayer leaks. I have pictures of the water pooling around the sprayer. You confirmed it over the phone. If there's no sign of a leak elsewhere, he's not going to repair elsewhere.I admit that this is an unfortunate scenario for you. But this happens. I never said too bad. I sympathized. However, I'm not going to accept blame for something that I believe was handled appropriately. We can only fix leaks that we can find. Your air conditioner wasn't leaking at the time of the visit. Also, if you thought it was your air conditioner line, I would recommend calling an air conditioner service company next time. All this to say, my plumber offered you far above what I believe was reasonable, and you declined his generous offer. I also offered you more than fair, I think, albeit less than the offer you initially declined. Obviously, you were unsatisfied with this as well.I understand why you're upset, but this is how leak investigations work. I really feel for you. I'm not trying to be mean or nasty. I'm never happy when customers have to deal with unfortunate circumstances. I sincerely love helping people. However, I have to do so within reason. We weren't trying to scam you or pull a fast one. We found a legitimate leak. A similar example that I personally dealt with is the sprayer in my kitchen faucet was leaking without my knowledge. I found out about it when I found a pool of water in my basement. This sort of thing isn't unusual.I still recommend that you follow through and replace the faucet/sprayer, as it will otherwise continue to leak. If it pools under your bathtub, you'll likely get a pool of water in the same spot, and you will also have to deal with water damage and rot. However, it's your choice. But I'm not comfortable reinstating a leak.Again, I would much prefer for you to be happy with our service. But, if you don't understand the industry or processes involved, the situation might appear in a negative light on rare occasion. I sincerely wish you good luck. I really hope you don't reinstall a leaky faucet. But, you do as you feel is right - as I must do what I feel is right.Good luck and take care.

Extremely impressed with this company and highly recommend them.**** (lead) and his partner **** were not only knowledgeable and professional but very personable as well. **** evaluated the problem, described what was happening and what was needed to be done and provided me with three options to consider, breaking down the cost for each. Not once did I feel like he was trying to upsell to me.

Hi Folks Hired this compagny to replace a leaking valve I had in my basement. ***** and his helper attended as schedualed. They wore a mask, took off their boots at the door and completed the work in no time cleaning up after themselves. Polite and professional. A few days later, I developed another leak away from the initial repair. ***** came back promptly, replaced the old pipe and never charged me for this second repair. Hi highly recommend this compagny. **** Orleans, ON

I was able to get a follow-up appointment the next day to re-install a BBQ gas line that had to be removed for a deck replacement. The technician arrived on time and performed the work very efficiently. The installation is perfect and the parts were painted to protect from the elements. I am very satisfied.
