Canadian Appliance Source (CAS) is a terrible company. I purchased 3 appliances from them for $7,000. This was a big purchase for me, ******************. The delivery company, ***********************************, delivered the appliances. First of all, it took them three hours to get the fridge in as they had to remove doors and drawers (not unusual as fridges are so large these days). I even assisted them, gave them a nice tip. However, damage was done to my house and the fridge FlexZone drawer was broken. The temperature gauge never worked, nor did my water line/ice dispenser (even after having a plumber come in to look at it) or the interior light. When *** finally got the fridge installed, they asked me to write any damage on the bill of lading. After having these guys in my house for three hours, helping them out, trying to manage my kids, I was told to check for any property damage. Under pressure that it was 6:30pm on a Friday night, I looked for damage. First I noted there was damage to a hook and on my wall. I also noted the drawer was not working (I didn't know about the temp and interior light yet as it wasn't plugged in). I also pointed out that my front storm door no longer closed and handle was broken off. I recall adding that to another sheet of paper. However, at this time *** told me not to stress because I had 48 hours to report any property damage. Well, I noticed more damage (ceiling, floor scratches and gouges) and reported to CAS that night. *** offered to pay $50 for the damage, and are not even considering the door damage as they state it wasn't on the bill of lading, but I remember writing that down on another piece of paper that I did not receive. *** is not budging and CAS has given me nothing but a runaround. They refuse to cover any property damage. I am supposed to get a new fridge but the same delivery company will deliver. We would like to wholeheartedly apologize for the experience you may have had.
We can see that you have initially requested to return/replace your ******* *********** Refrigerator due to cosmetic damages to the unit. Your request was approved for an exchange and we can see that you received the delivery of that replacement on June 20th.
Please know at the time of delivery that customers can inspect the unit for any cosmetic damages before signing the bill of lading. If inspected for cosmetic damages, the customer can refuse delivery of the unit.
In regards to your property damage claim, please know that as indicated on the bill of sale, CAS uses a third-party delivery company to complete deliveries. We can see that the issue that was reported at the time of delivery was reviewed and compensation was offered by the delivery company, *************. Given that the Bill of lading was signed for indicating that there are no further damages, your request for an improved compensation amount for the newly reported issues was denied.

Our fridge was malfunctioning so we needed a replacement right away. We found what we needed in stock, no easy task these days with all the supply constraints, and the price was reasonable. The new unit was delivered the next day as promised without any problems.Review fromColleen C

2 of out the 7 appliances were damaged. They do nothing to help. As soon as the sale is done they wash their hands of you. Worst appliance company I have ever dealt with. *************************************Canadian Appliance Source

An email was sent to you, requesting to provide a photo of the serial tag on the unit and also a photo of the actual door that is dented. Our team has not received your response. Please provide the requested information to our after-sales team by responding to the email that was sent to you. Once received, our aftersales team will be happy to assist you further.

Dear CAS. I reported the issue and provided the photos as requested. I then received an email asking for the serial number which I responded to 5 hours later.(I have resent the email with attachment.) I was not contacted by your company after that. When I reached out to find out what was going on I was told my claim was denied. I also notice that you did not address the issue with the cooktop in your response above. That damage was provided at the same time as the fridge. I would appreciate your honesty and integrity when dealing with clients after the sale has finished and not just because of public complaints. I bought the Fridge from the company and arranged the specific delivery time which was mentioned in the note for delivery, It's very important as I live in condo and have to book the elevator for the specific time. In spite of all arrangements made in advance the delivery guys came at absolutely another time. They told me to get it or book another time for delivery (I made delivery arrangements one week in advance). I called the customer service and get a reply that they called me and sent an email with notification the day before but in fact I did not get any of that. I am not happy with my purchase cuz the assistant didn't tell me that if I pay after 12 pm , I have to pay more for delivery the day after.
On the other hand there was a double payment, dunno how, but despite he was aware of , still didn't tell me that I have paid twice.
Then after I just checked my ****, I figured out this mistake that he didn't let me know at all!!!!!Canadian Appliance Source

You can't trust Canadian Appliance Source (CAS). I just purchased a dishwasher and I had requested installation and was assured that it was included and when they delivered this morning, they just left the dishwasher in it's packaging in my kitchen and left. I was told that they do not do installation. When I wrote to the salesperson who sold me the appliance, this is what she writes back: "Seems like there was a communication error. Because even in the email you asked me that the delivery people will bring the dishwasher inside the house or they will leave it outside. I clearly answered your question that the driver will leave the product wherever you want. We have never discussed about the installation. and our company doesn't do the installation directly. We have a 3rd party company that does the installation. If you want the info about the installation company please let me know I will provide it." It's strange how she did not say that to me when I was purchasing the appliance. This email that she is referring to was before I met her in person to make the purchase.Canadian Appliance Source
