One of your nurses arrived at my clients house within the last couple hours today to conduct some at home bloodwork. Upon hearing that my client had ****************, the nurse asked my clients husband if she was in danger being around someone with Bipolar. Can you even imagine how this made my client feel? This is so unbelievable I'm in shock that you hire staff that are so undertrained that they would conduct themselves like this. That's like asking if someone with diabetes is a danger to your nurses. People with Bipolar are 10X more likely to be the VICTIMS of violent crime than the general population. The disgusting stigma behind your staff's comment is a horrible representation of your facility and it made my client uncomfortable enough to make a public post about it in my online community. I'm recommending my client contact an attorney. There are plenty of review sites like the Better Business Bureau, trust Pilot, and Yelp that I believe should hear about this. You have a 1 star - F rating - online. I see you started a second new yelp account because your first one has nothing but horrible reviews. You did the same thing with the Better Business Bureau. Why are you doing all of this?

I am writing to express my absolute outrage and disappointment regarding the extremely unprofessional and distressing experience my family and I endured during our visit to your blood lab on November ******* around 3:15pm. My child, who is medically challenged, was subjected to the most insensitive and disrespectful treatment by one of Life Labs staff members that I have ever witnessed. The technician who was assigned to draw my babys blood displayed not only a complete lack of empathy, but also an alarming level of impatience and disregard for my babys comfort and well-being. Despite my child's evident distress and medical condition, the staff member made no effort to calm her, and instead, was forceful and aggressive in trying to draw blood and raise her voice! This person repeatedly failed in their attempts, all the while causing my baby to cry hysterically, which in turn caused her to become physically distressed to the point where she changed color. When I expressed concern for my child's well-being, the staff member coldly stated that they would not be able to help my baby and asked me to go to the hospital, implying that it was too much of an inconvenience for them to continue trying. The complete lack of compassion shown to both my child and myself during this ordeal was shocking and *************** a parent of a medically challenged child, I am acutely aware of the stress such procedures can cause, and I had hoped for a supportive, understanding environment. Instead, I encountered someone who, rather than offering comfort, only added to my childs trauma and my own distress.I demand a formal apology for this treatment and expect a thorough investigation into the behavior of the staff involved. No patient, let alone a vulnerable child, should ever be subjected to such heartless and unprofessional conduct. I also request that appropriate steps be taken to ensure this does not happen again.Sincerely,

I find it hard to believe that the province of ***************************************************** excepts such a poor level of service from Lifelabs. The wait times are ridiculous and some of the offices Ive been in are very dirty. Why do British Columbians not have a choice to have tests performed at other labs? Seems to me that a little competition would make Lifelabs get their act together and start doing a better job. Please let me be clear that the technicians are usually always very nice and hard working, it is more the systems of Lifelabs that are failing. And lets not forget the huge breach of clients personal information that Lifelbabs tried to cover up!? A statement from the privacy commissioners of both ******* and **************** says their joint report, completed in June 2020, found that LifeLabs "failed to take reasonable steps" to protect clients' data while collecting more personal health information than was "reasonably necessary." **** News)Shame on you Lifelabs for trying to cover up your poor performance and allow clients with no other option to be compromised with data breaches. Forcing your clients to provide more information than what you actually needed. The web portal that clients are forced to use is very poorly designed and does not work the way it should. I am very well educated and use all manner of web portals and computer systems and as I said Lifelabs portal is lacklustre. Its time for the ***************************** to step in and terminate Lifelabs contract and monopoly on the taxpayers of BC.

Their website does not work to make a booking. My wife and I, both well-educated people, tried for over half an hour but the menu items lead nowhere. I then phone Lifelabs to make a booking. After waititng for 35 minutes I gave up. Luahged myself silly however by the message on the phone line which siad that bookings culd easily be mde online!

After my recent visit to LifeLab, I tried to find competition or some other lab which will do the blood work. In *************** there is no other option, other than ******************. To file a complaint is another problem. You have to file it with the same company which treated you disrespected and wasted your ******** can arrive at the lab for the blood work 10 minutes before your appointment time. Register yourself. Sit down in the waiting room and watch people coming after you which clearly has appointment time after your appointment time getting ahead of the line getting the blood work done while you are still waiting in the lab for your turn.I watched my name on the screen with the right schedule appointment time to make sure they have registered me and yet they put me on wait while other people went ahead of me whose appointment time was after mine.We definitely need competition for life lab

Lifelabs ********** had better do something about their admitting policy. Their waiting room has over ****************************************************** a crowded hallway and the girls behind the counter call next, then your order is processed then you go to the assigned room. There are elderly people standing in the line, some with canes, some with walkers, some with bad backs and it goes on and on. This takes place for 50 minutes before your called. The chairs remain EMPTY in the waiting area. Someone is going to collapse and LIFELABS is going to be sued. I suggest Lifelabs set up a number system much like what is in the ************** at **************************. They have three nurses serving over 25 people at a time with no problem. LIFELABS needs to seriously consider what is happening in **********. Even if you have an appointment you sand in line and the chairs remain empty.

Arrived 10 minutes ahead of my booked appointment today (Wed, Dec 27) only to find that the *********************** location was 1.5 hours behind. Waiting area jammed. Very poor. Very unprofessional.

They lost my bloodwork after I paid 80$ for a nurse to come do a home visit. I was told my samples were lost and I would have to do the blood work again. Very poor customer service and very concerning that they are losing blood samples..
