      I bought a premium membership a few months back.I was told the Membership belongs to the person not the car.. So when my Brother in Law used my car to help me move and got a flat, I got a ride to meet him as the membership supposedly belongs to the person. They refused to send a tow as apparently I have to be the one driving the car now. So which is it AMA? The membership belongs to the person or the car?Either Way, They took my money and NEVER disclosed that. They did say, the membership belongs to the person not the car. HOWEVER....This is the good part,No Where does it say Anything about it belonging to the person or the car in any document on line nor do they tell you when they sell you the membership..No one would want it if they did.I called to complain and was told Now, you have to be the be driving the car... You cant even be a passenger in the car. but they failed to tell you this when you sign up..They fail to disclose this on their website...They refuse to disclose this on you personal profile page.This is 100% Misrepresentation and Fraud.I just went on their site to review the options to purchase a membership...guess what? They tell you all the things your supposed to get with the membership and go to check out ( give them your money) and NO WHERE does it even say you have to be in your car, or driving your car or even at the location to use your membership. It seems they have a secrete policy booklet that tells you this, but its not anywhere I get to read it. So I asked for my money back..They said I only get 30days to ask for a refund. I get that if,I had a chance to find out in 30 days that AMA Lies and defrauds people and wont honor what you bought.Jut another money grabbing No accountability company. they could give a C*** about customer service because there's a whole line of new suckers every year.This company is committing Fraud. Stay away!!!

Our memberships do follow you (the member) as a driver or passenger in any personal vehicle that you are with at the time of the breakdown. We apologize that there was confusion around this when you called for roadside assistance for the flat tire, and understand youve had a chance to speak with our team regarding your concerns and declined an offer to offset your out-of-pocket costs with a credit added your AMA account.       The offer for AMA dollars isn't acceptable, which is why it was refused..I do not shop at any of the places your advertise for and I don't need %5 off at stores I don't use.The only reason I signed up for a membership was because I was lead to believe I could use it the way I described it, otherwise AMA is an over priced service that I would never use otherwise.I just want it to be clear that the couple of AMA dollars was a BS offer and insulting.What ever, AMA just need to be exposed as a company that takes your money under misleading pretenses.And that program is a scam..Thanks for getting back to me though

      I was sold on a premium membership cause I was told that I get a long distance convenience tow, if I need it, once a year. I live between cities. My motorcycle broke down and I needed it towed back to my condo. I have a friend who is a mechanic. I was told by AMA that I cannot have the long distance tow (although it is clearly stated on their website (https://ama.ab.ca/membership/join/compare) and I need to tow it to a registered garage. When did AMA start dictating who can fix my vehicle and where it can be towed to? FALSE ADVERTISING on their website. I asked to speak directly to the supervisor and the agent just kept on putting me on hold. I can't believe the service and the hassle. This should be reported to ******** ***********************

      Got my Highlander towed today in ******* and I have to say it was a great experience. Both *** and ***** were professional, friendly, and courteous! I even received a call from the drivers after my vehicle had been dropped off safely at the dealership.

      My brother brought tenants insurance in Feb 2022 then passed away in April 2022. I am dealing with his estate.I thought I should cancel the policy so there would be an extra $200 for his children.Ive made three trips to the AMA office. The first time was to drop off the death certificate. The second time was because AMA wanted proof that the lease has been terminated (somehow, the death certificate was not enough). The third visit was to give AMA the names, phone numbers, and addresses of the ex and the children ( I have no idea why).All that has not been enough. Now AMA wants me to supply signed permission (witnessed by a commissioner of oaths) from the children, the ex and my siblings)I give up.They win.They can keep the $200 refund.One of two things is happening and both are bad. Maybe the underwriter is working on Claim Denial 101 (in this case, Refund Denial 101) and they are just being super difficult so that I give up and they can keep the whopping $200. In which case ... Congratulations!!! Youve done it!! Or maybe they are not being intentionally difficult, and they havent the sense to recognize that this is a small, simple policy that can be cancelled with zero liability to the underwriters. This is not a $10,000,000 life insurance policy we are trying to cancel.Sigh, the incompetence is astounding and frustrating. I will NEVER buy insurance from AMA and will heartily recommend to everyone else that they look elsewhere.

      Will not be renewing my membership. Had a flat tire and wanted to have it filled so I could get home after a 12hr shift. I called at 10:15 pm and was told it could take until 1am for someone to come. Apparently they don't have their drivers out working this late and have to rely on contracted companies. For the inconvenience and long wait tines thru AMA I will happily pay another company for assistance . Seems to be a huge wast of many if you value your time

Unfortunately, in our attempt to set reasonable expectations, the wait time quoted may have been longer than necessary as we worked to assign a full-service vehicle to the call. In our experience, flat tires typically have underlying circumstances that result in a vehicle being towed or having a spare tire put on, so to avoid frustration, we come prepared for every possibility. Additionally, to best serve members at all hours and in a variety of locations, we do work with contractor companies that have been vetted to AMA standards of service. Were sorry to have disappointed this member and respect his decision to pay directly for services if that makes the most sense for him in the future.

      Terrible service. Was quoted 2 hours for a tow. Going on 5 hours now  ********** ***! Hire more driver and stop lieing about wait times!

      Thanks for the opportunity to respond to this situation. To ensure the safety of our members, calls are prioritized based on a number of factors and are not always responded to in the order theyre received. In this case our agent quoted a wait time at beginning of the call based on the member remaining with the vehicle. Later in the conversation, the member said that her husband was there to pick her up and she and the agent discussed the steps the member needed to take for us to tow the vehicle unattended. Because it was our understanding that the member was in a safe location and not with the vehicle, more urgent calls would have been triaged ahead of this one. Unfortunately, we failed to let her know that this may result in a change to her wait time. Weve since reached out to offer our apologies but havent been able to reach the member.

      Fraudulent actions. My credit card information had changed. AMA then made changes of the expire date so the transaction would be accepted. This is the second time they have charged me when I no longer want there service.

      Thank you for your prompt action. The issue was not caused by AMA. I was contacted by AMA, the issue was explained to me and a refund was issued immediately. In the pass years I have not had an issue with AMA service, and in the future I will return to AMA.
