  The women there treated me bad I was trying to file my taxes and they gave me the runaround about my SIN # not verified to my present last name and then instead of calling the cra and verifying it was me who the tax return was for they said theu couldn't help me and told me to come back and I don't have the ability to go again because in disabled and can't walk very well and they wasted my time and they were rude condescending and just really not helpful I ended up calling the cra the next day and everything is fine with my SIN # and it made me mad that they couldn't take the time to help me as they should have and it was Tuesday March 8th 2023 ..the location was *************** in ************** in ********* ********* ******* and it took me ***** to get there and home and I'm irritated because I am trying to save my tax return for school and to get the housing benefit and needed my taxes done...but NOOOO and I will personally never use an H&R Block ever again and I'm gonna let people know about this treatment and I hope you have a great day..

  2 identical Tax returns 2021 and 2022 filed with **** Block @ **************************************** in Etobicoke 2021 Return charge was $109.9 ( HST Extra)2022 Return was charged $159.99 ( HST Extra)If my Math is correct ? that is a Year over Year increase of some 45% !A bare faced example of "PRICE GOUGING".After some loud complaining on my part the nice young lady manager offered me a discount , which , being a senior on a fixed income / pension I gladly accepted, however it still do's not excuse H.R Blocks gouging pricing practices.Suggest you do not patronize this Company , I certainly won't

  Horrible customer service. They were 30 mins late for our appointment, then complained and blamed ** for needing more than the usual hour for our returns. They pressured us until we left, asking us to rebook so they could take the people after us instead. I had booked through their online system and indicated we needed extra time for multiple returns. They had my email address to contact me. I received a confirmation via email for the appointment. ************, they repeatedly complained and blamed me for their overbooked afternoon. I didn't even want to go in the first place because we went last year and they did something wrong in our returns that caused headaches with CRA, and I wanted them to fix it. Do yourself a favour and never use this business.

  The simple fact im sitting in an office with 2 tax preparation specialists working and 5 people have now walked in for the coveted 4:30pm appointment that i thought was mine. It's 4:45 and im still waiting.....*** This will be the final year H&R does my taxes after 15 years of what i thought was good work. Ive been ignored and treated poorly as well as left to wait still.

  Very unfriendly no seniors discount 120 dollars for a seniors return is ridiculous two t4 . No 10percent off as advertised would not recommend this company to my worse enemy ***** HnR block

  I dropped my taxes off w/******* on Oct. 26/22, to have him make sure that it was completed correctly, its a very simple return, just a few expenses as a sole proprietor.He told me it would take about 4 weeks.I received 1 follow-up call on Nov. 25/22.I left a message on Jan. 5/23 for ******* to return my call, now its been 10 weeks.I called again following day Jan. 6/23, he said that there was a delay because some paperwork came in that had to take priority and it should be done by the following week.Well its now Jan. 20/23 and I still havent heard from *******.

  *******. Communication is non existent. The ******* office we filed with in march shut down and moved and didn't tell us. After 2 months of no word, we found out the location closed their office. I had to call around to other locations to find out who has our tax stuff. They have all our originals forms and recites that they wont give back and keep saying they will look into it, but NEVER calls back. How do we file a formal complaint? Can we *** for our paperwork back? Its been 5 months of this as of august 22/22

  Absolutely unacceptable service. I brought my taxes as well as my spouses taxes in before the end of April 2022. When I hadnt heard from them by mid July I started to call, left messages, with no return calls. I went to their office (in **********, **) and a sign on the door said it was closed and we should contact a ******* office. We drove into Nanaimo and a sign on the door said they were closed. Following my husband called the ******* and spoke to a very sympathetic person who said their accountant would be in on Tuesday to pick up our file. The following Tuesday we drove in to ******* again and were told they did not have our file. A very good receptionist found our in-completed file in **********. We were guaranteed it would be done when we got there. It was, but there were no apologies for the poor service and run around we received never mind the lack of communication and tardiness of service. When we left the ******* office the kind receptionist said she hopes we will come back again next year. I DOUBT IT VERY MUCH.

  I've been with h&r block in Essex for 11 years and this will be my last. A new hire did my taxes and had everything approved by their supervisor. I work, my partner does not. I told them I would like our taxes done- quite instantly the procedure and papers were not the same. I questioned them and they even spoke to their supervisor on the phone in front of me saying my partner did not need to sign anything as there was nothing to claim. They assured me countless times myself and my partners taxes were complete. Only to find out they only did mine. Looking through the documents to find my spouse's 2021 invoice stapled to my recent 2022 receipt. Livid.

  What a ridiculous company, almost impossible to complain to and it gets worse.In **** I took in my taxes which included a US segment. In **** they lost my paper work and it took 3 months to do and that was just the ******** portion. The US was never done.Move ahead I took my taxes in again... again with a US portion, the taxes were given tp and discussed with *************************, the District Operations Manager, just as I did in ****.Today I called, as it was now over 2 months (May) and I was informed **************** was no longer with H&R and again my taxes weren't completed and only today were they faxed to a different office in ************.This is border line ********* I expect H&R to make this right.
