  ********* ****** the tax gal in ******* took my tax info but when I told her there was one more to be added she assured me she could get it online. After getting my notice from *** I noticed she failed to add that T4 I told her about. She told me I have to pay her another $50 to fix it * **** ** ********* *** ********** *********

  I was having my tax return done electronically by H&R Block. The so called professional was in *********, NS. After all documents were uploaded successfully things seemed to be fine. I messaged **** ****** a couple of times and got replies up until the last week of April. During that time I questioned when he expected to file my return. After 2 requests without a reply the message board disappeared followed by my tax return. I then phoned his office and surprise surprise I was unable to talk to anyone. I left a message for a callback. After waiting more than 4 hours for a response, I called again. SAME SCENARIO! No explanation, no apology, NOTHING. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. My advice, use ***** ***!

  Deeply disappointed with their 2024 "Fast and Easy" online tax filing services. I was helping my two kids with their tax filings, but because I had used a paid option for my own taxes, the software automatically prepared their taxes in the paid category - no matter how many times I chose the free option. I've used their software for a number of years - but I am definitely going to be looking at other options next year.

  Unprofessional discussions & cost is not discussed initially. Agent unable to put correct & proper info and had to be reviewed multiple times. Agent not responding to your calls or emails, but you have to step in to their centre. Very disappointing.

  I would strongly discourage anyone from using HR Block Canada ********* location. I ended up paying them for the files and taking them home to complete myself rather than pay the same capital gains taxes (for the same gain) on Final Return and Estate return because they could notadjust the cost base of investments using detail transactions provided by the investment company. If the investment company has summed up the numbers for them, that they could use. Waste of $750.00

  Why are H&R block people not trained better? I live in ******* and only one office out of three do final taxes. I booked my appointment with the one office that does them to do my mother's final taxes and then they proceeded to cancel my appointment because I was booked with someone who couldn't do them. This seems poor service to me.

  As a loyal customer of hr block of 15 years after this year will never use them again. 10 month of log book so far it has taken them 5 weeks and still not done. This company has gone so far down hill. Shabby treatment in Lethbridge branches.

  I dropped off my T4's 21 days ago. I tried to reach the office here to see what is going on. Finally reached someone who said she would be off Wed-Mon. but would call me first thing Monday. Well, no call. Thursday I finally drove all the way to their office, since no one ever answers the phone or returns messages.I was told the one doing my taxes was off that day (again) and would call me first thing Friday. Well it is almost noon, no call and again can't reach anyone.21 days already for a simple tax return. I will never use H&R block again, after 11 years of trusting them with my forms.

  Absolutely horrible! I've dealt with H&R block (in ********) for simple tax returns for four years prior to having this experience but this is the last time ever. If a more complex return is required, I'll go to an accountant! I had a meeting with a *** (who was also the supervisor), she greeted me with "I'll just be a few minutes, got to go for a smoke". Upon her return she couldn't find the documents that my husband had left 30 min prior, there were papers all over her desk. Took 2.5 hours to complete two returns. I was annoyed but okay with this. There was an issue with a potential overcontribution to my RRSP which I was told to go to the bank to rectify. When I went to the bank they stated that it wasn't considered an overcontribution and I should confirm with CRA, which I did. I phoned H&R Block immediately and left a message not to submit my income tax returns, I had to amend it. Two days later, no phone call, I went to the outlet and asked for the amendment. The *** said she filed the day before and they don't have access to their voice messages. She then proceeded to yell at me and tell me that CRA are a bunch of incompetent ****** and that she knew better because she had 10 years of experience. This was in front of four other clients. I tried to explain what *** had told me but she would just cut me off. I requested an email address to send her the supporting docs from CRA, she handed me her card and walked away. I was shocked at the complete lack of professionalism!!
