Costco should be embarrassed for the way they handle issues. on April 27th at 11:00am went to the store. left at 12:00 and a shopping cart hit my NEW truck (2 mths old). The warehouse had all the carts outside because they were using the cart corral as a plant and flower area. I left at 12pm to find that a shopping cart had hit my truck, the cart was still there next to the truck. There was no employees collecting carts that morning one person was riding an electric cart while pulling a flat bed inside. Went to the desk to report the incident and had to fill out paperwork. was told I would have someone reach out to me in a couple of days on how to fix this. After 4 days I called and told it could take a week. Finally got a call from someone from ********* *******. This is a risk management company that handles issues for Costco. It's Costco's way of avoiding their customers. ********* ******* has a terrible reputation if you look at all the negative reviews about this company. You would think Costco would avoid such a deceitful company. ********* ******* then called to tell me that Costco is not liable. I asked how when Costco had all the carts outside not where they are suppose to be, and no one collecting carts. So then I called Costco home office in ********** and they referred me to call the ********************************* I called here left multiple messages before finally getting a call back. The person in charge said that he would talk to his supervisor and see what could be done. This was 1.5 weeks ago still no call! All this for a dent in my Leased Truck that would be under $500 to fix. Costco would rather not help there customers then take care of an issue that they caused. The best part is the Security cameras at the Costco saw the whole thing and they have it taped and they can see it was their fault. As soon as I made the report they had 4 people outside getting carts and securing them in cart corrals and locking them together in the front of theReview fromKelly F

This was my first time ordering online from Costco. It was the worst online ordering experience I have ever had! If you are a Costco member, whatever you do, do not forget your password. It took multiple attempts to reset mine. So many that I lost count. Then the site is soooooo slow! It continually buffers and I had to keep clicking on my cart to advance the checkout process. The only reason I persevered is because the item I wanted is heavy, had free shipping, and it will be easier to get the item into my house directly from my porch. Unless Costco improves their App/Website this will be the last time I order online through them. I would rather do without then go through that torture again. ***** ridiculous!Review fromMimi M

I was approached by membership sales *** at ************ location. I told him that I was not interested, but he kept talking. I said I felt I was harassed, he said its ********************s policy and I would experience this until I upgrade. He stared at me the rest of the checkout process, which made me very uncomfortable and not safe. ******************** advertises harassment free environments; however, this aggressive approach invites unwelcoming behavior from the membership ***. ******************** should review its own policies and train employees what harassment means.Review fromMimi M

****************** representative approached and asked if I was interested in upgrading my membership. I said I was not interested, he kept talking. I told him that I felt I was harassed, he said I would be harassed every time I come to Costco until I upgrade. He stared at me the rest of the check out process, which made me very uncomfortable and not safe to come to the store anymore.Costco advertises harassment free environment for shoppers and employees however, this aggressive approach for upgrading the membership is promoting unwelcoming behavior from membership representatives. Costco should review how many complaints they have for this harassment.Review fromRandi X

I used the women's washroom at the ***************************** in ******* and it was so run down and filthy I would not let my dog s*** on the floor. Nightmare. Ive been a Costco fan for 30 years, but Ill never buy another appliance from them. They use third party *********s and evidently the Costco warehouse doesnt communicate with the *********s any better than they communicated with me. The first team arrived for my installation asking if the dishwasher had been delivered. I thought he was joking. The next ********* said it couldnt be installed without hiring an electrician to put an electrical plug under my sink. (Something about new codes in Tx). So I hired ** sparky who overcharged me, but installed the plug. The third ********* said all that was unnecessary bc my dishwasher was hardwired. AND each time Cosco gives you the day of the installation, only giving the time frame the night before!! So, they literally expected me to clear my calendar over and over again!! Never again. Im going back to *****.Review fromJM E

Whatever you do do NOT under ANY circumstance use Costco Services. They do NOT back up the contractors they use. I had a horrible carpet installation and the carpet company is now retaliating against me for leaving bad reviews by not turning my paperwork in so I can get the contracted Costco Shop Card. Costco talks a good game but they will do NOTHING to support their membersReview fromCharles B

I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the treatment I received during my recent visit to your store. I encountered a distressing situation when attempting to address an employees inappropriate behavior, and I was further disappointed by the store managers lack of empathy. While interacting with the hearing aid employee, I provided a detailed medical history that included my status as a former ********* Ranger. Almost immediately after I mentioned my veteran status, I noticed a significant change in the employees demeanor. This shift made me feel that my background was met with indifference rather than the respect I expected. Shortly after, while examining my ear, she stated that I had an excessive amount of earwax and suggested that I seek medical attention, abruptly ending the hearing test. Although I observed some wax on the screen, as a doctor I felt that the amount did not warrant discontinuing the test. Nonetheless, I promptly obtained medical care, and both the attending physician and the assistant at the emergency department advised that a simple cleaning would have sufficed.During my interaction with the store manager, I was not offered any acknowledgment or apologyno reassurances such as I am sorry you had a bad experience. Perhaps there was some misunderstandingwhich only compounded my frustration with the situation.Furthermore, I was not informed that the hearing test might be compromised by earwax, nor was I advised to have my ears examined and cleaned by a medical professional to ensure the highest quality of results. This oversight is particularly concerning, as I require accurate hearing measurements to secure medical pre-authorization from the Department of Veterans Affairs. The combination of inadequate test instructions and unprofessional treatment has caused me considerable inconvenience and added undue stress during an already challenging process.Review fromSteve M

**** ********* Assistant Vice President, Costco Wholesale Optical Operations has banned me for life at all Costco Optical locations in the **** The reason stated refers to a letter and phone calls made in 2022. She does not elaborate but l have the two voicemails and transcripts from the referenced date. The voicemails are cordial and innocuous. The incident in 2022 involves the return of glasses with a half inch darkened stripe down the middle of a transition lens. The eyeglasses were replaced without incident. When I presented this information to Ms. ********* she changed her reason for the ban to an unidentified incident that occurred in 2017 - over eight years ago but she refused to elaborate. I suggested that Costco was retaliating for an incident with the on-site optometrist when she dilated my wifes eyes without her express permission, made a incorrect diagnosis, and prescribed an expensive drug (off label) that my wife did not need. The optometrist did not provide a translator as required by law. Ms ******** said that the optometrist is an independent optometrist and not employed by Costco. However, ****** ********** VP of Costco ****************** state that the optometrist was hired by Costco. She has an office within Costco 20 feet away from the optical department and has an official Costco email address. I appealed Ms ********* decision to the CEO of Costco, *** ******* via registered mail but did not receive a reply. Also contacted the whistleblower team at Costco. No response. I have been a member of Costco for over 35 years and have always had great relations with all employees and managers including *** ****, manager of Costco Goleta. Why am I being banned for life at Costco Optical ***?Review fromShannon S

Be aware! Costco double charges on online purchases, my online purchase was for $2,700. and they cleaned out my account while I wait for them to refund my money. In the mean time because of the extra charge that I was not made aware of, I thought it was fraud being done two days later and after my order was verified shipped and on its way, so I had no choice but to alert my bank right away of the fraudulent activity on my account. This is an unbelievably bad business practice and I should have been made aware at the time of purchase and at the place where the total purchase price is listed before giving authorization for a purchase, and not on some obscure page in fine print if its even there at all. This is at the very least a deceptive business practice so Beware of Costco Online Purchases, It'll cost you more than you expect, way more!
