tl;dr BLUF Tenant and landlord took each party to court. Tenant former Serviceman leaves with due to landlord's business practices such as taking unwanted photos of home while at work
I was a tenant for 12 months. Because I had brought to their attention the wide gap under the door for indoor smoking fumes to get into, their maintenance left my door unlocked by the time I got home. They would later refuse to fix and clean my AC over the weekend, leaving me with the choice of sleeping in my car with AC that June weekend or go to a hotel; they still have not reimbursed me.
If the AC was fine, I'm wondering why they dumped it by the dumpsters the next week. I had done my due diligence to ask on Saturday if they would please accommodate me with another room with AC (used as incentive assets for prospective tenants), and I was refused without explanation or even sympathy.
I later left in good spirits and even shook their checker's hand as I left; they would charge me 534 dollars and still not apologize for the hotel fees.
I took them to small court, where it turns out they had gone into my residence without prior notice for the express intent of taking embarrassing photos of not just messiness (that did not affect the unit floor or walls - literally my dirty laundry) but also intimate parts of my living quarters to embarrass me in the court of law for the sole purpose of shaming and character assassination in the court's eyes; if they broke any laws, I would have been sued for those. i.e. they have and will break into your home unannounced for blackmailable evidence.
I lost against their retained attorney, but was spared excessive payment and only paid for their retainer fees, which I'm glad was proffered by the lawyer before he bothered to discuss it with the landlords, who had to be sustained by the judge more than once.
I'm quite unhappy how this turned out. I see the non-****** reviews are not happy nor agreeing with the suspicious ****** reviews either.
