I am an elderly Disabled Marine Corps Vet. and the experience or treatment of the General Manager and the other workers at the Days Inn Mt. Hope due having either no heat or the equipment making a loud noise to where a person could not get to sleep was not called for. The employees rude and condescending. This started on the second night at the Inn that the heater was not working right and started making a loud noise. No one was at the desk at this time, I waited for approximately 20 minutes before someone came back to the desk. I had try calling the front desk, but the phone did not work at the time. After telling the night shift girl of the problem this started of having to be moved around to four different rooms trying to get one that the heat would work and not make noise. This was a hardship in that I have a C-Pap machine used for sleep apnea. Also, the room was dirty where they had been working on a light in the bathroom along with roaches. The night shift employee told me that this end of the Inn is mostly not used during winter. I was also told not only by the night shift employee, but maintenance employee and even the General Manager that the owner was cheap and did not want to spend money on the Inn. The next night the last room I was moved into also started making loud noises and not heating the room. After getting someone at the desk, which was the General Manager, she was saying that it was so cold that they would not work, but the heater up front was working good set on 77 degrees. I informed her that it was working why not the others? I told her I needed to talk to the manager and asked for his name. She would not give me the information, nor would she give me her name but said she was the General Manager. She acted like this was my fault. She was rude and argumentative. I informed her that this was unacceptable to treat an elderly Disabled Marine Veteran or anyone else this way. She told me to call back. I called on 1-4-23.
