Dan seemed to be super nice and helpful with buying my first car. But then after I started driving home it shifted to park and wouldn’t let me put it back in drive so I tell him about it and he tells me how to fix it so I do what he says to make it the rest of the way home keep in mind it’s almost 7pm by the time I left even tho I got there at 2pm but it was extremely cold so I went to turn on the heater and it wouldn’t work and at this point I’m 30-40 mins away and they was sposto close at 6 but stayed open for me to finish the deal so clearly I’m not going to go back they are closed right I make it home and two days later car won’t start so I take it to the shop and they tell me it’s a blow head and is going to cost $15k-$20k to fix so dan the guy I bought the car from picked it up from the shop telling me that he will get it fixed no matter what and tells me just not to tell anyone about what happen with it if anyone ask it just shut off and there wasn’t anything wrong with it before so how many people has he really done this too?

Hello *****. I want to start out by saying that I personally put ***** documented Miles on the car you purchased prior to you purchasing. We also had the car safety inspected by a local shop here where they gave the car a clean bill of health before it was listed for sale. I had zero problems with the car while it was in Royal Automotive's ownership. The first time I had heard from you on the day you bought the car (2-7-2025) was when you were already home (2 Hours away) and you had sent me a picture of your social sec card. You left our dealership at 5:20pm and your msg was at 7:28pm. You had said in that message that the tire light came on (which I explained how to reset) You also mentioned that the car shifted into park when you got off the highway, the check engine light came on, and the heat wasn't working very good. I asked if the car was overheating at all. Your response via text was "It was getting hot then it would go right back to normal, I checked the coolant level and it was good" I explained to you at that time that you had purchased an extended warranty and should get the car looked at right away by a shop of your choice or bring it back to us and we could look at the car. You said you would look at it in the daylight and via text "if worst comes to worst you would have your ********** look at it on Monday". You continued to drive the car while overheating for 202 miles ( documented) The problem here is you knew there was an issue with the car and did not fallow my instructions to get the car looked at or bring it back to Royal Automotive. Instead you decided to continue driving the car (over 200 miles) and slept in the car while it continued to overheat. You texted me on Tues 2-11-2025 that the car now didn't even want to start. I again asked why you hadn't had the car looked at by a shop. You stated that you had been in **** due to a domestic with your girlfriend (why you had to sleep in the car) and you were planning to get the car looked at then. The car had to be towed due to being overheated so many times. The shop where you took the car said that it needed a motor. At that time I didn't know the full story and that you continued to drive the car with the overheating issue so I offered to come get the car and get a second opinion which that shop also confirmed the car needed an engine. Your extended warranty declined coverage due to negligence. (Using the car with a known issue making the issue much worse). Its unfortunate you had an issue with your car. I offered my help right off the bat. Drove to get the car (4 hours roundtrip) to make sure your shop was being honest. As I said many times now. If the issue would've been dealt with right away by you when you were told to get it looked at. You'd have a car to drive, but because you continued to use the car in a overheated state, you created so much more damage. For a guy that works in the automotive industry and claims to be "Mechanically Inclined". You should know better.
