I had a Radon mitigation system installed on March 9th. The tech informed me that the pressure reading should never exceed 2-2.5. He explained that if it does, then advise to call back. Since it was installed the pressure has always been 4+. I have called the number provided on the invoice and on the website (800) 667-XXXX and all go to a voicemail menu with 3 options: 1. Inquire on a new system or confirm appointment, 2. trouble shooting existing systems, or 3. billing inquires. I have selected option 2 each time and left a detailed message. Its been a month now and no one has every returned my call. Perception is a poor one considering they don't adequately service their existing customers, don't return phone calls, and appear to never answer any phones. I regret dealing with this business. This is an install and ghosting approach.

Sorry about your experience *****. I think there may have been a misunderstanding. The gauge at 4+ is showing that there is good pressure coming from the fan and that the fan is working. You would want to test the radon levels to see where your radon level is at. One of our Service Reps tried returning your call earlier today.

System broke not long after they installed it, and I cant get any response from e-mail, website, or phone to have it serviced. Multiple voicemails left and zero response.

I just purchased a home in Denver NC (March 2023) . During the home inspection, radon levels showed at 18 pCi/L. This home will be occupied by my daughter and two infant grandchildren so I contacted SWAT Environmental for mitigation. March 7th a technician came out and stated the crawlspace was "sealed" and did not need that service. The technician also confirmed the vent pipe could be sent through the interior and out the roof. I was invoiced and paid. March 14th installation was to be completed. Several days later I learned from a contractor doing different work that the vent pipe ended in the attic and the roof vent was never installed. After leaving a message, I was contacted back by SWAT who stated I would have to hire a roofing contractor because the pitch was do dangerous. I was told a credit of several hundred dollars would be placed back on the credit card (no credit refund has been received yet). On March 21st I arrived back in NC and inspected the home. The fan and piping placement would place the vent boot at the same level and within 5 feet of a window (not to safety code). Also, the existing crawlspace vapor barrier was NOT sealed anywhere (walls, pillars, seams). The technician placed the piping under the old vapor barrier knowing this. I just want the job completed safely and correctly. I was given the runaround and told there is no-one (manager) to express my concerns. I was told it could be weeks before I could pay to have the crawlspace sealed which I would have done from the beginning if not told it was already "sealed." I question this company's true concern for their customers health, from suspicious installation shortcuts or not to code installation. We will see i have to involve state health to evaluate this company's operations and safety in NC? So far customer service and installation is sub par. Hopefully some results or direct communication soon??

Sorry to hear about your experience. Appears we communicated on March 7th with your realtor that we may not be able to do the roof penetration due to the pitch of the roof. On March 14th ************** attempted to set up ladder to do the roof penetration but was too unsafe. We have refunded the money for the roof penetration. We have scheduled an appointment for 3/28/23 to come out and seal the crawl space and relocate the fan.

I've been dealing with this company since September last year and after numerous visits still have radon levels above 8-10 pcls above acceptable EPA levels. Note that original levels were at 99 pcls. Better but not good enough. I found that diagnostics were done at the end of the service vice at the beginning? There was no sealing of basement radon walls to deck areas to address radon seepage. Here's the deal. After spending nearly $6k of retirement funds I still have high radon levels and the company has not returned e:mails, phone calls as to the next step. Not happy.

I had a 5 year warranty on the fan SWAT Environmental had installed. The fan quit working and I called to get it serviced. The warranty had expired by 7 days. I kindly asked if they could honor the warranty since it had just expired and they said they could not. I took the morning off for my appointment between 8am-10am and they never showed up. I had to call and they apologized for writing down the wrong time even though I had called that morning to confirm my appointment. They said they could send someone that afternoon which they did. When they gave me the final bill amount, it was more than what I had been quoted over the phone. I could not confirm the amount I was given because the email they sent with my appointment time did not include the quote. I let them know that I would not be contacting them for anymore work after my new 5 year warranty was up, and I would be going with a different company. They didn't seem to mind. Hoping this fan makes it 5 years so I don't have to work with this company again! Very disappointed with my overall experience with SWAT Environmental. -An honest man trying to make an honest living.Have a blessed day!

Sorry about your experience *****. Unfortunately, the manufacturer of the fan determines the 5-year warranty, and we don't have the ability to go beyond that timeframe. In an effort for us to offset the price and confusion about the appointment time we discounted $95.00 (28%) for you which we already communicated.
