Hired ********************************* (Integrity Renovations) To do some drywall work in my basement and garage. Sent me an invoice for the estimated cost of the work prior to starting work in October of 2020. Stated that he could start the work in about 2 weeks and that the work would take approximately 2-3 weeks to complete. I paid the invoice in full in October of 2020. In June of 2021 after calling ********* several times, no work had been started, and asked ********* for a refund. Shortly after ********* offers to complete the work, instead of a refund, and shows up to start work at my property. Relates to me after starting the drywall work, that he will not be finishing the drywall with texture nor be completing any trim work without additional charges, as was promised, and documented in the original invoice as finishing drywall. ********* agrees to complete the finishing of the drywall for an additional cost. I purchased additional supplies to finish the work, because *********, despite being paid in full months earlier had insufficient funds to finish. While working in the garage, damaged the overhead garage door opener, which had to be completely replaced at my cost, was never offered any compensation. The job took approximately 7 months to complete, after taking 7 months to start the work. Upon completion of the work ********* submitted an additional invoice for the extra services December 16th 2022, then threatened legal action and a lien on my property on December 31st, when the invoice had not been paid in full, when I made no indication that I wouldnt. Well before 30 days prior to submission of the additional invoice. Some of the charges on the second invoice were for services already completed prior to conversation with ********* relating that that particular service would cost extra.
