  The sales people are criminal. I was given an estimate for 3 days labor for 3 people. The work was performed by two people in one day. The estimate, which you have to prepay half and bound by contract, was for $3-4,000. They gave me a bill for $3,500. I would have at least thought that they would have given me the low end. When I asked to discuss the bill, I had to hound the sales person for almost two months to get answer. The sales person who said he would talk to the owner, only discussed the matter with the sales manager and said they thought the price was fair. A job that was bid at 72 hours took less than 20 hours, and I couldn't even get the low end of the bill. This job was a battle from start to finish. I had let the salesperson know it was a rental cottage that I could not rent until completed. 3 months of chasing the salesman to get the work done has cost me thousands in lost rent and heat for a vacant building. They also destroyed the brand new landscaping. This has been a nightmare with these people. Forgetful, rude, and arrogant. I will never do business with them again, and I have multiple properties to get done. This is a less than 900 sq ft cottage that has cost me nearly $10,000 for blown insulation in the ceiling and walls, and foam in the crawlspace. This does not include lost rent, propane for 3 months, and damages to the exterior. When I confronted them about it, there was zero response. They do not care.

  Unfortunately this customers review is not a complete picture of what the job entailed. He contacted Eau Claire Insulation in October (the busiest time of year) to insulate the home located in *******, ** approx 2.5/3 hr drive, each direction, from our shop. We gave him a proposal for the work to which he agreed and signed. When we arrived to the jobsite, the customer had not dug out his crawlspace as he stated would be ready so we could not perform that area of the job, but did complete the other areas of the home. He then contacted us and asked if we would dig out the crawl space instead. We gave him an additional proposal for the amount stated in his review, he agreed and signed the contract. Our crew made a second trip to dig out the crawlspace and then made a third trip to foam the area; each trip is approx 5-6 hrs of drive time added to the actual work performed. Our employees, must be paid for the drive also, not just time spent at the jobsite. It is unfortunate that he waited to last minute to have his insulation installed and expected to be pushed in front of other customers already ahead of him. It is also unfortunate that he didn't have his jobsite ready when we arrived, the job would have been completed the same day. The customer was aware of the cost upfront, agreed and signed the contracts. When trying to work with the customer we received in appropriate emails and his final payment, he wrote in the memo, " I hope you choke on it ". We believe his opinion shows only part of the whole story.
