      We Are Devastated - Cut Down the Wrong Tree at Our Genesee, WI Farm While We Were Not At Home There aren’t words to express the crushing devastation owner Alex has caused us. He and his crew cut down a live tree supporting a treehouse instead of just trimming the limb, killing not only the tree but the treehouse. The tree was marked only to have a dead limb cut off. We insisted on being there when the crew arrived to ensure that no mistakes were made. Alex picked the day. When they didn’t show up, I called Alex and he told me that he had entered the date wrong on his calendar and that they came the prior day without notifying us. We went to the area and were stunned to see that they cut the entire top half off of a 50 foot tall red pine (holding up a tree fort that we had just spent $5000 restoring) that we never wanted cut down. Lack of supervision by Alex, careless disregard by the crew, blatant incompetence. Catastrophic irreparable negligence. If you want to risk these things in your yard, then by all means use Alex and Twilight Tree Service. It’ll be like using a surgeon who amputated the wrong leg. After Alex visited the site and discovered how badly he & his crew screwed up, he refused to respond to our emails and phone calls. I wish he could be shut down by the state, but he has no license. So we have no recourse. And suing him into oblivion isn’t going to bring the tree back.
