  This facility is known to keep dogs in their care with kennel cough. My dog has attended this facility twice and both times has come home sick. This most recent time he contracted kennel cough. When we had to take him to the vet there were two other sick dogs there that had both been to the camp and both had severe kennel cough. When I contacted the facility to advise of our sick animal the lady told me "this was a normal illness. The illness comes into the facility and runs its course and he will be ok." There was no apology, or "is your dog ok?" No sympathy. You would think with an illness in the facility they would shut down and sanitize to attempt to get rid of the illness. I have two other friends whose dogs also contracted kennel cough from Camp Bow Wow Ridgefield within the last month. ****** cough can be serious and this place does not take it seriously at all. Just be careful if you decide to have your dog attend Camp Bow Wow Ridgefield.

  This franchised location lacks the training and ability to care for or provide services to any pet. During the time my pet was boarded with them - I witnessed through their puppy cameras that an employee was pulling my dog by his collar and disciplining him by spraying him at a close distance with a squirt bottle. My dog was left with an eye injury and infection. The owners, ******************************** have been of no help and couldn't be bothered to apologize for the harm they caused my pet.
