Never use college hunks. We moved in dec 2024 and the movers moved my master bedroom furniture. They assembled my king bed, and the bed collapsed. I called them for repairs and they did send a repair person who noticed that something else was broken too which I did not notice. But they choose not to tell us. When I called them back they told me that I will have to pay out of pocket for that fix. They have very poor customer service and they are quick enough to point fingers at the customer. We did not make a big deal and slept on the floor for 3 weeks. It was my mistake to choose them for the services. Pls don't use them if you want to move peacefully.

I was quoted by their corporate office $165 an hour with no truck or travel fee due to the state ordinance. I confirmed our date of moving and that there was no travel fee with the girl multiple times. We set up a day for them to come out and do an estimate. When we received the estimate back the hourly rate jumped to $190 an hour and additional $375 truck and travel fee. When I spoke to the representative about this he went and listened to the recorded phone call and told me I was 100% correct and I was given all the incorrect information. He had a manager contact me who could careless. He pretty much told me I was SOL and that it's not his problem I was given the wrong information. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

My 7 mile nightmare moving experience with College Hunks occurred in Columbus Georgia recently. The problem started when the movers left a substantial amount of my household possessions at the point of origin, and never told me. I only discovered them the next morning when I returned for cleaning. I hired them, and they estimated a complete move, which did not happen. As we unpacked, we kept discovering numerous missing and broken items, some of which are irreplaceable. It’s difficult to properly express our frustration and stress as we open a box of shattered possessions. But it gets worse when they will only compensate you at $.60 per pound .That formula, of course means they essentially have no liability. Our missing $1400 vase would be compensated at about $7.00 for example. Do yourself a favor and hire anybody else the next time you move.
