  DO NOT hire this company. *** is friendly and charming and "was doing a job in the neighborhood" when he noticed the dead tree in our yard. After accepting a $300 deposit for a $500 agreed job to take down the tree, I got a text that his truck broke down and he asked me to Zelle him $200 to "help me pay for this tow bill, my guys should be over there in the next couple of hours." Supposedly they were "finishing up" the other job shortly after our deal was struck. When I declined to send more money and started asking for more details about his business and where the "guys" were working in my neighborhood, I got very little detail. He refused to provide his full name or complete address (written-in street no. and street name address only on receipt doesn't match the one in online profile), and he wanted to send me references instead of the information I asked for. He never provided the information I asked for. Ultimately, I asked for (1) a refund of the cash payment, or (2) that the job get finished today as promised since the workers were already in my area "finishing up" another job. I have no further response at all to that offer and he still has my $300. Do Not Hire this man.

  Sharing my experience with Benjamins ***************************** Improvement buyer beware.I hate posting things like this, but I feel its necessary to warn others. I hired ******** to do some yard work that included removing bushes, mowing and weed eating, mulching the front beds, trimming branches, fixing a shutter, and most importantly, laying topsoil and seeding my *********** first, he came off as confident and convincing, promising the world with that classic contractor charm. He told me hed arrive at 7 a.m. and be done by noon. Instead, he showed up hours late and left again almost immediately to go get mulch, disappearing for several more hours. I had already paid a deposit at that point.The work he did complete was rushed and spotty. He missed multiple patches while mowing, didnt weed eat around visible bushes, and didnt even touch the backyard on day one. He left saying hed return the next day.The biggest disappointment was the backyard. He laid a paper-thin layer of topsoil, skipped several areas entirely, and didnt even water the seed. He guaranteed grass would grow within 30 days or hed make it right.Thirty days later, nothing had grown. I reached out, and after some back and forth, he agreed to lay sod instead, but again, he no-showed. No call, no message. I followed up, and now it's been days with no response.Theres more to the story, but Ill leave it at this: be cautious. Smooth talk means nothing if the work doesnt get done, and worse, if theres no accountability when it all goes wrong.
