    This company is an absolute scam. When I called to set up a date for my move, their salesperson sound super nice to me trying to sell me their moving service. He gave me a quote of ****** which is very high but I understand that these days, everything went up so I did set up the service with them. Remember, this company is not a carrier, they are only the people that hook you up with whatever carrier that they want. They will ask you to pay 33% of the deposit upfront, then 33% on the date of the pickup, and the remaining will be paid on the date of the delivery. Once you pay that very first 33%, your soul is sold to this horrible company. Their whole attitude changed, they will be super mean to you, not answering your calls, wouldnt reply to your email when you have questions. Long story short, I was promised that the person will come on a Friday morning, but I waited all day, they never came, didnt even answer my call. When someone finally answered the call, his reply was hey you are not our only customer ok. Then, the mover finally showed up on a Saturday morning, he quoted me ***** moves. So the new total is $1***** This is ridiculous, he threatens me by saying if you dont agree to this then we will leave and you cant get your 33% of deposit back. I was forced to sign that contract because I dont have a choice. Then the big nightmare begins, once I arrived to my destination, I called them and told them to deliver my stuff, they promised that it will be 3 person unloading the stuff on the delivery and they will come on Thursday. LIE again, I waited all day, no one show up. So I called but no one answered. I have waited until Sunday, three days after what they have promised, the person that answered the phone never apologize and said you know that I can legally keep your stuff for 21 days right? This is beyond ridiculous!!!

    My moving experience from Safeway Moving was the worst I have had. I moved from ******** to ******** in April 2022. The quote was just above the pod alternatives, so I went with the full service. There were several issues:1) They raised the fees after loading, charging an additional $3-4000 above alternatives.2) They did a terrible job packing, not an efficient use of space, which caused them to raise the price.3) They hired local labor to pack, which told me to pay then cash and they would lie on the final packing space to save them money.4) They did not create a legible inventory of boxes and stuff. I was told they would.4) When it arrived, I was missing at least two boxes, including a DVD player and other electronics. Because it was basic insurance by weight, it would only have been a few dollars of insurance. They would not even cover that because the inventory was illegible. I would recommend anyone avoid Safeway Moving and any full service company or broker. Instead rent a pod or space or moving truck of your own, and hire your own labor via Task Rabbit or a moving website. It will be cheaper and you will have more control of the process.
