First, we live on the foot of a mountain and have been waiting for years for telephone, Wi-FI and TV options other than satellite. So, we were happy when Shentel installed GloFiber high speed optic services in our area, but they are the only game. A Shentel salesman named ****** ******* knocked on our door on 12/29/2024 saying that we could sign up for their newly available services and could do the installation in January. He quoted pricing and was in line on the telephone and WI-FI pricing but quite high on the TV services when compared to our ******************** and experience of almost 30 years. He said that as a company salesman he had some things he could do to write business. He wound up giving me a verbal quote a little bit better than we had with Dish and he put in an order to schedule installation in January 2025. Installation had a multitude of problems spanning weeks and multiple service calls before things settled down and started to work right. When we got our first two bills, it was apparent that the TV service was way high in price - about $100 more per month than what he quoted. There are some offset (annul price increase and added equipment) expenses that might justify some of this but even considering all that, our bill is at least $50-60 higher than promised. I called our neighbor who this salesman also visited and she says he did the same low ball pricing to her, but she signed up with customer service and was told they could not honor his pricing. I did not find this out until I was signed up and received a bill. The Sales guy will not return my calls and has stood us up for promised visits to discuss this. I have a log of 11 calls to customer service, often with long waits to speak with a rep. **** emails are on their system to the salesman and his managers with promises they will contact me, but they never do. I have cancelled my long time services with previous vendors and returned their equipment, so I am now stuck with no other option.Shenandoah Telecommunications Company

I have all three of their services and I'm paying almost 200 a month and I have been out of my services for the past two days and I know they have more than one technician working the area! And the employees in the office are taking up for the technicians and I know it's not taking this long to restore service, I'm asking them for an adjustment in my billing and they said if they do it for me they will have to do it for everyone. This companies services AND customer services are absolute garbage. Their Commercials and ads are false advertisement. Unfortunately, they are the only thing available in my area for TV and Internet so we had to bite the bullet and deal with them. However, this last dealing was my final straw. Because of how bad their services are, we had them disconnected for slightly under a month on 10/25/24 I ended up paying over $400 to have them reconnected because of the kids in my household. Within the last 23 days, the service have been extremely wonky so I contacted them for troubleshooting on 11/16/24 and was on hold for a great deal of time for some woman named ****, who would not provide me any further details to an employee number or last name comes on the phone without introducing herself at all and the very first thing she says to me Are you calling to pay the $80? In which I asked what she was talking about she did not even ask what my issue was. My TV is working in two bedrooms, but not the others and the Internet is not working at all to which she informs me they disconnected my services again on 11/15/24 (So just the day prior) Because of an unpaid $80 reconnect fee. Which I informed her was extremely shady and I would not be paying because I had already paid the 400 some dollars that was requested by the representative from my conversation on 10/25. I asked to speak with her supervisor she told me the only thing she could do was send an email and they would reach out to me sometime next week. How in the world is it? I paid what I was told I needed to pay. My services were on for 23 days and randomly get turned off again and now requesting more money before even a new billing cycle. I will not be dealing with them any longer, and we will be, finding a hotspot service to use for Internet instead I do not recommend any dealings with this company. Glo Fiber customer service is horrible. I would not recommend. I lost internet connection on 9/29/2024. Called at least 10 times for service. They scheduled appointments, no one showed up at any of them. I have called twice to cancel service. The second time I was given an order number for the cancelation. They don't do conformation numbers. Was told my service was canceled as of 9/29/2024. Since then, I have received 2 new text messages with an appt. for service. I have extensive gardens including bulbs from ********************* , ******, *********** Lowes and *****************. When Glo Fiber put a notice on my door that they would be on our street I called with my concerns about my plants . I actually had a FENCE around some of my bulbs to prevent anyone from walking on them. The lady told me she would make sure someone called me before digging anywhere on my property. I woke up to about 12 non-English-speaking workers that had REMOVED my fenced area and dug up all my plants and bulbs in two different areas (and were still digging). I tried to find someone who spoke English to tell them what was happening since the workers didnt understand NO or anything I tried to tell them they were destroying - but there were NONE. That someone would actually remove a fenced area (the fence was there for a reason) without permission nor notifying me so that I would have been able to dig up the bulbs and transplant).I called Glo Fiber. There were est. - $200. Worth of bulbs (Crocuses, Hurricane lilies, and dwarf Iris (not including the small fig tree) completely destroyed. I was devastated at this loss as bought these while I had a good paying job over the past few years. I lost that job due to not able to get vaccine issues (due to allergic to the ingredients) and am looking for another job. This was devastating to me as my gardens and plants are important to me. A office guy offered much less than what I lost. I did not accept. This is still not resolved at this point and I'm putting in complaints here and with Attorney General of Consumer Protection. I had the service for 4 months it was down four times in 4 months each time it was down for a entire day. On top of all of that I came home from work my service was out I call they sent me to a specialist that said I downloaded the ** show survivor and until I deleted it they would not turn it back on. Shentel broke our fence while installing fiber for our neighbors, the rep on the phone argued that it wasn't their responsibility to fix what they broke unless we are their customers. Then she was frustrated because, we are their customers! Our phone *************** go down for weeks at a time, when you call to complain, they first deny that it's their problem, then they threaten you with fines, then they take weeks to fix the problem even if you work at home & rely on your ***************** They throttle your internet & only allow you to send out so many emails in a billing cycle. They love to charge you money, then play games instead of doing their jobs.When you call to complain that your internet is down, you get to stay on hold for hours before a person gets on the line. Someone will ask you what the problem is, then put you on hold, then pretend you had a different problem, then put you on hold, then they ask for account information, then put you on hold, then hang up on you. ******** doesn't begin to describe them.Review fromJimmy F

Horrible initial install with his company and I never wanted them on my property to begin with as i can do fine without their internet. I hate Comcast but this company is even worse.
Disgusting foreigners used to lay cable who have no/poor skill at what they are doing and they also laid down in my yard and took breaks sitting against my tree and left their food wrappers from eating in my yard. Very rude and they need e verified and kicked out but Glo Fiber wants to pay cheap and screw the property owners.
They also act like you can can contact them with any concerns before the install and they will help you and guess what, that was a lie from them.
I already have 3 utility boxes in my yard and this slimy company couldn't give me a break and put it in neighbors yard even when I asked before the job was started with Chris Briggs the build manager.
They put what looks like a board laying in my yard so that is also unattractive. They should have better install than this.
Caring what the property owners want does not matter to this horrible company. I am upset that they are able to do this to my property. I will not be getting their products because they really made me mad.Review fromHeather M.

My god where to begin. Well the monopoly is still a problem. Im quite frankly beyond words for this company. So we get upsold to get whole home. It was great for a year. Just recently they did security updates to their erro. Now my internet doesnt work on all my devices. I have 2 oculus systems that solely run on wifi. Without wifi they are 2 pretty paper weights. Have had a tech come to this house quite literally 4 times in the last 2 months and when they cant answer why it will stream movies but not music. I can use the internet but as soon as it tries to load any graphic, buffering and then say i cant connect. I had to get extra hotspot on my mobile phone just to use internet. Then you come into my home look me in the face and tell me i have too much internet. Really too much now. The lies they are trained to say to the customers isnt working anymore. So when shentel reads this. I hope they get lit. The are abusive and are literally getting away with telling their own customers its not shentels systems its fine, but its your devices. Just writing this review has rocked my mind. If you think for one second your reckoning isnt coming. Well come at me bro. Im ready. Its coming. I will report you till you are held for the lies and money you have stole from people. Normal people, hardworking people who use the internet for everything cant use the service you have monopolized cause your system works. Right thats what you say. You are terrorists and claim you care about your own customers.
Those erro already have network management on them. Shentel disables the feature so you cant tell what devices to connect to what erro you need. You told me you dont offer network management to customers. Seems very illegal to me. We have to call you to get devices to connect to our internet. We have to ask you and tell you we own these devices. You are dangerous people. Remember reckoning!
