  I reached out to American Mechanical to service an outside lantern next to the garage door. The knob at the bottom of the lantern used to remove the globe would not unscrew, just kept spinning. I thought the screw was stripped. I was prepared to replace the lantern along with the one above the garage door so they would match. However, Dan fixed it! American Mechanical technicians are professional and it is clear their goal is customer satisfaction. American Mechanical is on my speed dial!

  First time using American Mechanical, I called them based on good reviews. I had a very high water bill. Raymond was my technician. He replaced a broken seal for a running/ leaking toilet. He went above and beyond. I told him the water department checked the outside meter before he came, he wanted to check it himself. He then went in the crawl space underneath the house to check for leaks. Also, price was right. A very good experience. Highly recommend!

  Ryan from American Mechanical came to service my standby generator. He was friendly, courteous, and very knowledgeable. I can say this with certainty, he knows what he is doing. That makes all the difference to me. I cannot say enough about American Mechanical. They are real professionals. They installed my generator and it has performed flawlessly. Good to know that if the power goes out you will have it back in just seconds. Go with this company. Dave

  They lack proper communication. Unable to tell you if there's a fee or not when you ask them. In the phone recording you can hear us asking if there's a fee and the Representative say there was fee for having someone check our AC. I even said I want to cancel if there's a fee, but they insisted there was not a fee. The technician came and looked at the AC ñ. There was no repairs needed nor nothing. Before he left, he said I had to pay a fee for him to just look at the AC (when I say look I literally mean he just looked. He touched nothing). Why would the person on the phone say there is no fee for having someone just show up and then demand a fee? My husband and I asked several times if there was a fee and they assured us that there was no fee. Check your recordings!

  We checked our call recordings and revisited our notes with our American Mechanical team. We see in our notes and in the call recording that your husband Jason originally booked the service request and asked his wife (assuming you) to be the point of contact. He never inquired about a fee or what the cost would be, he only asked that we come out to take a look at his unit. In these situations, the assumption is that if a customer is asking for us to provide a service, it's understood that there is a cost associated with our time. When our technician Lucius was ready to dispatch to their property, he called and spoke with you, who told him it was okay to head that way. Lucius was working late that day, he had dispatched after 5pm so our office was closed. It looks like you called our office and reached our answering service, this is when we hear on the recorded call that you began asking about costs (while Lucius was already on his way). When you spoke to the answering service, they confirmed there would not be an "after hours" fee, but they were unsure about a dispatch fee during regular hours. When you said you did not want to have him come to your home until somebody could give you an answer, our answering service did state the only time we have a dispatch or diagnostic fee is after hours, so you should be good. So it was implied to the customer by our answering service that she may not have to pay a fee.
