I was excited to visit ******** in Virginia on Sunday a long-planned outing with friends and my first time at this spa. Unfortunately, because King *** does not follow U.S. disability laws, I was unable to stay. The employees lack of knowledge about U.S. disability law was appalling, and their questions were in direct violation of the law. This is discriminatory and should not be tolerated. Background: Ive had two complete ankle reconstruction surgeries and have been instructed by my doctors and physical therapists not to walk barefoot, particularly in unfamiliar areas. I brought a brand new, clean pair of Coach slides with me and asked to wear them inside the spa for medical reasons, while leaving behind the sneakers I wore into the facility. The employees not only refused to accommodate me, but they nonsensically suggested I wear shoe covers with no traction. This is discriminatory, and the problem is pervasive at ******** and needs to be ************ King *** is a public-facing facility, the section of the Americans with Disabilities Act that applies is as follows:Public accommodations must comply with basic nondiscrimination requirements that prohibit exclusion, segregation, and unequal treatment. They also must comply with specific requirements related to architectural standards for new and altered buildings; reasonable modifications to policies, practices, and procedures; effective communication with people with hearing, vision, or speech disabilities; and other access requirements.I was repeatedly asked about my disability in a very public space near the front registers. It was demoralizing and embarrassing.Businesses have an obligation to reasonably accommodate people with disabilities so that they can enjoy the same access as the facility as customers who do not have disabilities. This business failed to level the playing field, and the owner has so far IGNORED an email sent to her notifying her of this issue.

Our barefoot policy is designed to ensure a clean and safe environment for all our guests. We did offer you non-slip shoe covers as an alternative but you declined because you preferred not to cover your new Coach sandals. We have had hundreds of guests use this alternative without any issues. We genuinely value your feedback and will take it into account as we strive to improve how we communicate our policies to our guests in the future.

Company racially profiled me and my family, also accused me of not paying for services. Mailed me a threatening letter stating that they would be filling charges against me and had the wrong person. After proving that i paid for service management gave me a half ass apology. Dont spend your money here!
