  When we moved back to Rocky Mount two years ago, the house we bought had so many big oak trees in the front that the house was hardly visible. The back yard was similarly dense. A neighbor who was a satisfied customer recommended Mitchell Hardbower to us. When he came to inspect the trees, he was thoroughly professional and brought a portfolio detailing his company and their work. He recommended that most of the trees be removed because they were diseased and a threat to our house. His proposal was very reasonable; based on where lived earlier, we expected it to be double what it was. Mitchell and his crew arrived right on time and did beautiful work—thoroughly professional in every respect, expert in their abilities. Mitchell was right out there with his men, directing their work and working alongside them. We and the neighbors watched them and were amazed at their discipline and work ethic. He has a huge crane and top of the line equipment. He and his crew took down trees in our front yard and backyard, ground limbs into chips, stacked the tree trunks in the front yard and took everything away. The next day two crew members arrived and spent most of the day grinding out all the stumps. Recently Mitchell returned and took out an unattractive row of 8 hemlocks that were old and scraggly. Again, the same amazing work from start to finish. He and his men took only a short lunch break; they worked diligently until the work was completed, again grinding out the stumps. Our new neighbor was thoroughly impressed with Mitchell and his crew and engaged them to do some work in their yard and the small forest behind their house. At this point Mitchell has done fine work for four people on our street. His work speaks for itself. He has a degree in horticulture; he knows trees and landscaping and this is abundantly clear from his first visit to assess his clients’ needs to the moment when his trucks pull away after a job is meticulously completed.

  Mitchell and his crew are the best in their field. Their work ethics are very professional and everything they do is done to perfection.
