Important information
- Advertising Review:
On January 23, 2024, BBB requested that Clean It Right substantiate, modify, or discontinue advertising claims which were made on various pages of their website: https://www.cleanitright.com/home.html
Superiority Claim:
The business’s website states, “offers services for that tough to clean and specialty application that most cleaning companies do not have the experience to handle.” According to BBB’s Code of Advertising, deceptively or falsely disparaging advertising of a competitor’s products or services must not be used. Comparisons should fairly reflect all aspects of the products or services equally.
Environmental Benefit Claims:
The business’s website claims they are “a Green Cleaning Company,” and “follow the BMP/EPA/CWA guidelines,” and other similar claims. According to BBB’s Code of Advertising, advertisers should avoid broad, unqualified environmental claims such as “green,” or “eco-friendly.” Other claims such as “degradable,” “recycled,” and “non-toxic,” should only be used when substantiated and properly qualified. Environmental Certifications and seals of approval may be used if properly issued. Additional disclosures are needed if not issued by an independent third-party.
As of March 15, 2024, the business hasn’t fulfilled BBB’s requests to substantiate, modify, or discontinue these claims.
